Stopped in after an ER shift and asked if their first responder discount applied to hospital staff. I was told it only applies to police officers, firefighters, and military. Your discount, your rules... but maybe don't call it a first responder discount if that's the policy. Not to mention the delivery could have used some sugar. read more

I used to love this place 10 years ago or more. Having returned recently to try it again for old times sake, I have to say it wasn't as great as I remembered. The staff wasn't very helpful or friendly, which is a huge detractor for me. And the customer in front of me was just casually chatting, but the waitstaff wouldn't say next, or whatever. I waited and waited and waited. We got 3 bagels with cream cheese; cinnamon raisin (or sugar but I think it was raisin) sourdough and rosemary. The rosemary was the best bagel but still tasted old, had a tough consistency and not the greatest flavor over all. The sourdough was not good, to be frank. It was stale, tough and not at all like sourdough we make from scratch. The cinnamon bagel was overly sweet, probably the freshest but not at all tasting of cinnamon. The coffee was so so, the ice tasted like it had been sitting for a while. Won't be coming back to this or their other location. read more

This review is for their other location in Point Judith which doesn't appear to have a Yelp page. We walk up to this location frequently as we have a beach house down the street. A few weeks ago they seemed to be out of everything (I.e. only one type of muffin). I ordered food/coffee for myself and two kids. When I saw there were no hot sauce packets to go I asked the girl making food for some. She said "we only have the big bottle" and I said "do you mind putting some in a to go container for me?". She rolled her eyes and muttered "b*tch". I was completely taken back. It wasn't an unpleasant interaction (up until that point) and swearing at me loudly enough for my kids to hear was so trashy and unacceptable. I emailed the owner who apologized and said he gave her a written warning after watching the camera footage. I suggested that she might apologize to me herself so that she could actually be held accountable. Crickets.... They absolutely won't last if this is the behavior that's accepted. Oh well! read more

They used to have the best prices in town, now they're just comparable to everywhere else, hence reason for 4 stars and not 5. The bagels and donuts are downright delicious, and don't even get me started on their specialty cream cheeses. AMAZING. They did a nice little renovation of the interior and it looks nice, though a part of me misses the way it used to be. I've always loved this place. Love!! Recently under new management this little coffee shop is a Town favorite. Oversized yummy muffins (I like the lemon poppyseed and morning glory) and delicious bagels. The price is right too. Better quality and price than the Dunkin Donuts next door. They offer drive-thru service and it runs very efficiently. It's hard not to order a bagel when you drive up and the aroma of the everything bagel envelopes you. It is truly heavenly. I highly recommend "The Connection". We stopped in to get bagels during our beach stay during COVID. The staff was efficient and friendly. We got 1/2 dozen bagels and cream cheese to take back to the hotel. Super reasonable. The bagels were delicious and fresh. The everything bagel was GIGANTIC. We did not get coffee or anything else, but it smelled fantastic in the shop. They do take cards and utilize Apple Pay now during COVID. I would go back and try the other baked goods. Come in and check it out. read more

Coffee n' Bagel Connection was one of my go to coffee spots in college. You can get an entire breakfast for only $5. Just remember the place is cash only, which some find off putting. The offer Ma's Donuts and a wide variety of bagels and cream cheese. They definitely aren't NY bagels they are much softer, but still delicious. They offer several coffee flavors my favorite being Snickerdoodle; however, at times the coffee often tastes watered down. Fresh & Always Delicious This little shop is right in the best spot for whatever your reason to be in south county. The staff is hired from locals and they are knowledgeable about the products they sell. The muffins, bagels, donuts and pastries are always fresh and a good variety. However, if you want something particular, you'd better get there early because several items run out. This weekend, I had the sourdough bagel, toasted with butter. It's a favorite of mine, but if it's not available, I'll have the sunflower bagel. My husband had the everything bagel with the halapeno with bacon cream cheese. They have several tables and chairs to sit and enjoy, but are just as happy to wrap things to go and you can enjoy them later. read more

This is a rather happening spot in Narragansett! My friend, who grew up in this town, suggested we come here for breakfast, and we were surprised that there was a line that went out the door. Once we got past the threshold, we found out why there was such a long queue: the prices for everything here were ridiculously cheap. I couldn't believe that a egg, potato, and cheese wrap was $2.00. Back in NYC, I'd find a wrap like that for around $5.00. I felt like I was transported to another period of time, where $20.00 still felt like a lot of money. Along with my insanely cheap wrap, I decided to get one of their maple glazed doughnuts, which were only $0.75 each. My rather carby meal came up to less than $3.00. The wrap was actually pretty filling and the doughnut was quite good. I was in absolute disbelief at how cheap this place was. Cash only. Waiting for your order to come out can also get a little confusing as the space is a little tight and when it gets crowded here, as it had been when I went in on a Saturday morning, you'll feel like you're getting in the way of other customers. How can a favorite local spot tumble downhill so quickly? Is it the new ownership? I knew the bagels and pastries were brought in, so if they were a bit stale we weren't surprised. Now just bought a bagel that was so stale you could chip a tooth on it. Also had something gritty in it as if it had been dropped in sand. Yuck! I hope they clean up their act quickly. This is a cute LOCALLY OWNED coffee shop. It has an old school drive-thru window. Nothing high tech about it. But I like it a lot. $0.75 for a glazed cruller the size of a baby's arm. (DD calls them glazed sticks). Can't beat that! They serve Allie's Donuts which are locally made. The staff is always super-friendly. Usually I have to salt and pepper anything involving (shudder) eggs - I hate them but the protein is necessary esp when indulging in such a insulin disaster as a white flour bagel.
