Popular bagel shop in Wakefield, RI that makes daily NYC style bagels in many varieties. Bagels 4 stars -- everything bagel was harder to chew than I like. Cream cheese spreads 5 stars Where they shine is on their cream cheese spreads! We ordered chive, veggie, plain and a custom honey walnut. There is a list posted with several cream cheese flavors including Jalapeño and strawberry that can be made upon request. Most order takeout, but there are tables for eating in. They have several breakfast "sandwiches" available if interested. Service is efficient and friendly.

Maybe it's the "Z" in "Bagelz" or the fact that this is located in a strip mall in South County, but I've found these bagels to be just meh. I tried the whole wheat and everything bagels with the baggie cream cheese and lox. Cream cheese was really good - had real veggies in there that gave it a real crunch. That being said, the bagels taste like they were ordered from Stop and Shop and lack the freshness that I was hoping for from a more traditional bagel bakery.

Stopped early on a Saturday morning while out shopping for groceries to finally use my free small coffee coupon (with the purchase of $1 or more). I had previously been to Bagelz at the URI campus so was excited to see this spacious location in the heart of Wakefield. This location is large with ample parking right out front, lots of seating inside, and even patio seating when the weather permits. I was surprised upon entering to see how big it was inside. A cute and cozy cafe! Now the bagels, wow! These are the best bagels that I've had in the area. They are fresh, chewy and overall make a delightful breakfast. Top with cream cheese or build a sandwich, and you have a satisfying morning meal. We ordered two bagels both with cream cheese, a small (free) coffee and a bottle of water for $5. My boyfriend said the coffee was very good as well. We'll be back for fresh bagels!

My go-to afternoon pick me up: a sugar free red bull from their drink cooler with strawberry syrup over ice.

Super good fresh bagels and great cream cheese, but I feel the staff could definitely be more friendly!

I was disappointed upon visiting on Saturday July 31 at 1:00pm to find they were sold out of bagels.

If you like seriously rude unnecessary service (1 out of 4 girls) and styrofoam cups, bagels are definitely worth it.

On a Friday morning around 9, there were a few folks waiting for tables/booths. Luckily there's a counter space with about 10 stools and we were able to snag two spots. We were warmly welcomed by the staff. They offered us a lovely couple of bites of cranberry cake, gratis. Everything on the menu looks fantastic. I ordered the famous hash omelet (huge, so, so good) and it comes with your choice of two sides. I apologize for not knowing what all of the options were but I opted for home fries and toast (another choice was baked beans, I remember that one). My wife had the Supreme omelet which came with a meat, peppers, onions, mushrooms and cheese. It was also huge and delicious. While we were sitting at the counter chatting up a local, she mentioned that Oatley's had just won the local Community Choice award. I can see why. One other thing to mention is their bread. I don't know what they offer in particular but a woman came in, asked "how many do you have left" and they said "one". She took it. It was a nice, homemade loaf of raisin bread for about $7. I think she would've bought 5 if she could. I think everyone who likes breakfast would like Oatley's II.

The staff members allowed me to create my own drink which I found to be a useful feature. The staff members permitted me to create my own drink because I needed to follow my specific requirements. I chose to order a large iced mocha latte with an extra espresso shot. The staff members finished my order within three minutes which they executed successfully because most businesses find it difficult to create this level of operational efficiency. The espresso shot produced a rich chocolate flavor which tasted smooth and fresh without any harsh notes. The drink maintained an equal distribution of coffee and chocolate flavors because neither ingredient overpowered the other.
