We had the most delicious breakfast, Grand Monet croissant French toast was just amazing. We did get a side of bacon and a coffee and frozen hot chocolate to reach our grand total of $40 a little bit pricey but we were on vacation. Great outside seating, you order at the counter and they deliver your food. You also clean your own table so service is minimal. They also have baked goods and sandwiches all made in house. The food was excellent. Everything was very fresh. The potato needed to be cooked a little more. We went back a second and I asked and they came out perfectly crispy. Western omelet was good. We were very lucky to get a parking spot right out front. It was around 930AM. Parking is sometimes a challenge in this area, however a fairly easy walk from extra parking by the boat launch. My friend ordered the iced "hot" chocolate and I was completely jealous I had not noticed it on the menu before ordering my iced coffee (which was also good ~ just saying her selection was great). I ordered the pomelette & it did not disappoint. The portion size I could've shared it with my friend & felt so guilty that I could not finish about half (nor take it with me). It was stuffed full of all the yummy meats & cheddar (I did ask for extra cheese because I'm a cheese-aholic). The only thing that might have put this omelette over the top would be a spicy kick option. Perhaps a drizzle or topping of sriracha sauce. I tried a bite of my friend's banana walnut pancakes and they were delicious. For myself, I would've enjoyed them more with some sliced banana bites on top. My friend and I each selected a bakery item to take with & have not tried them yet, but they certainly looked & smelled delicious. Found this place on here and the wife and I decided to take a drive and check it out. Atmosphere is super cute, staff very friendly. I ordered one of the Boston Creme Pies which was very good. I ordered a sausage and extra cheese breakfast sandwich on a croissant. It was terrible. The whole thing was cold. The croissant wasn't toasted, the sausage was cold, and who puts shredded cheese on a breakfast sandwich? It wasn't even melted?? My wife ordered an egg & cheese on an English muffin. So very bland... no seasoning what so ever. Really disappointing. My iced latte was good, but my wife ordered a Vanilla Latte extra hot. It was barely hot. It didn't sit there as he finished making it and he handed it to me. Great location, good service but the food wasn't worth coming back unfortunately. read more

Slice of Heaven is my go to coffee spot on the island! I'm a cappuccino/latte person and it's hands down the best espresso around. Their food and service is great as well. Favorite breakfast item I've ordered was the California omelette with a side of fresh fruit! I'd order it 10x over! In terms of the baked goods it's SO hard to not snag one as your ordering your coffee. I'd recommend the lemon ginger muffin or GF carrot cake muffin. Also for my GF girlies out there...they have a pretty good GF menu as well. My only con is that it's closed mon/tues. read more

We just finished loading up the catamaran for the 7 day cruise from Newport to Nantucket. It's hot and we're hungry. Hoping for an indoor restaurant with AC. Ha. No chance for that. Barbro had the Spinach Salad. I went with the Tuscan Panini. Both dishes came out fresh. As in Super Fresh. The bread was only hours old. The prosciutto was like butter. This place was previously on the top my list because of the awesome food, especially their Denver Omelet, but a recent experience has soured me on ever going there again. On a busy Sunday, my wife and I had ordered our choices and we waited some time after which another group came in and sat nearby. After a further wait, that group surprisingly had their food delivered and I got up to mention to the server that we had been waiting a long time before that group had arrived. A proper response from him should have been - " that is not right, I will look into your order and get back to you right away". No, instead I got a sarcastic reply "do you want me to take back their food until you get yours!" Stunned, we asked for our money back and left the place. We came here on a hot weekend morning. Surprisingly we were able to get a seat on the covered patio. We ordered the blueberry pancakes and the potato omelet. The pancakes were really well cooked and came out hot. The omelette could have used more seasoning but was very meaty. Going with a 4 out of 5 because they seem to not have an efficient system in place. It was HOT inside and confusing for a first time guest to figure out where to order, where to bring dishes back in, etc. It also took longer than expected for our food with several people who came after us being served first. Awful customer service skills. If you have your "Open" sign hung and doors wide open that usually signals to customers you are open. Walked in at 2:58 and asked if you were still open. A nice young girl replied yes for coffees. Perfect! Just what I wanted. I proceeded to come inside and a not so nice woman grunted at me "No, its 3pm, Closed" Hmmm extremely rude and could have nicely said something like the register is cashed out or no more product left. Our favorite spot in Jamestown RI. I don't know what they do, the coffee here are excellent!! Best mocha and latte!! My kids love their breakfast and lunch!! They close on Monday and Tuesday, so on Tuesday night, they will say let's go to Slice of Heaven for breakfast tomorrow morning :) and their fish naanwich is my only go-to order for the past 11 years ( never changed ) I just love it so much!! Popped in here on a whim and so glad I did. My 5 star review is based on the ginger molasses cookie that I had there. One of the best cookies I've ever had! So spicy and I loved the raw sugar that coated the outside of the cookie. The chocolate chip muffin was a winner as well, but the cookie truly blew me away. They have a nice little patio and we were able to eat there, as it was a really nice day. I am so excited that a patron was finishing up her kale salad as we walked into our favorite Jamestown breakfast spot early Saturday morning for our 9th anniversary weekend visit. I ordered the kale salad with the lemon vinegarette and my husband had the bacon, egg, and cheese on a croissant, with his lemon muffin and cinamon roll (life is not fair). But my kale salad, with its goodies like cranberries, lentils, almonds, was so absolutely delicious I didn't care about not eating pastries (well, I had a corner of his). On my second breakfast, Sunday, I had the Danish omelet with smoked salmon and it was also wonderful. Hubby had fish and chips--and though he liked it, reiterated to himself--I do not like friend food, especially for breakfast. Third day, I went back to my kale, and asked what oil was in the dressing--found out not Canola, but there was some soy oil, and they happily served me olive oil and lemon wedges on the side to dress my salad with healthful oil. Hubby had his sandwich and a carrot cake this time. Their coffee seems to have diminished in quality, but they do offer free refills. We tanked up at Bay Voyage Inn, who evidently read my last year's review of their coffee and reformed with much better Joe. read more
