The service was amazing the manicurist was super sweet and took her time to ask what designs I would like to have. I am pretty satisfied with what I got, only wish my nails design were done with a bit more precision.

Scratch and nail polish ruined

I would not waste your hard earned money here. I got a pedicure with freezing cold water after I asked the tech to please make it warmer. She just ignored me. I got a pedicure with regular polish and they escort me to go pay and they took off their flip flops very carefully to put on my actual sandals and proceeded to escort me to go pay when I got to my car. I saw that my whole toe polish was ruined. Although on their website they claim they have a guarantee of 7 to 10 days for nail satisfactory. It is not a actual real thing because I went by because I got a gel X and my tips were flared up so I asked if they could fix it and he said yes and he charged me for a whole new set even even though I wasn't satisfied, and it is a customer satisfaction profession data disregard me.

Quality nails

I got there at around 9:45am. Not too many people, very inviting and they accommodated me without an appointment. The end result didn't look much like my picture I brought in, not what we had agreed on which was bluebonnets, but I am still satisfied. Quality work. Was offered coffee :) . Would recommend for the younger crowd. I read they offer a student discount.

Crooked nail, no nail oil....

You can't get consistency between the nail techs. My nail is literally crooked and I asked him to fix it and he proceeded twist my arm so hard around to check them processed to pretend to fix it. They're beyond rude, bare minimum quality of customer service, besides 1 sweet older woman. Was so rough with my hand, jerking it and forcing it open so hard. It seems as though they hate their jobs....Worst experience I've ever had in my entire life and will NEVER return or recommend anyone to come here. Don't waste your time and money.

Unskilled or lazy? I don't know, but I don't want either!

I should have listened to the other recent yelpers, but NooOOoOo. I never learn, do I? This place is walking distance from my place, and I just thought, how bad can they mess up my nails when I didn't want to change the length or shape? Well! Let me tell ya! Went early Friday 9:30AM, today actually, they take walk-ins. Got a seat pretty quick, all I wanted was dip. Looked up their website, they have complimentary drinks--nice! Lady asked me if I wanted something to drink, I said Vietnamese coffee... she left and was never to be heard from again... ok.... Whatever, would've been a plus, but no big deal. I got dip, french--white tips, neutral pink nail bed. I didn't ask for a cut or re-shape, so you would think they would spend more time, but it felt rushed the whole time. Barely spent any time shaving the top and did a terrible job. Instead of being flat, there is a hump at the base of nail near the cuticle as shown in the picture. So fat and thick, looks super fake. At the end there was a half assed 15 second application of lotion before he shooed me off. Dip + tip, $72, boo

Classic manicure - cuticles botched and bottom cuticle not even cut, topcoat spilling over onto my skin
Amanda L.

I came in today for a classic mani/pedi. I've been getting my nails done at Coffee N Nails for almost two years. Despite plenty of instances of rude and uncomfortable service, my nails almost always came out looking fantastic. Until recently. I typically get dip with maybe a design, but recently I've been trying to improve my nail health, so I get classic shellac with just cuticles and shaping done instead. When I got my dip removed at my previous appointment, they neglected to fully remove my old dip and painted on top of it. My nails looked horrendous, but I wiped the polish off and figured I'd have it corrected and removed at my next visit. The old dip had caused unsightly lumps and chipping over the next several weeks. Today, I explained to the manager about the old dip situation. She proceeded to tell me that they never fully remove dip during a service so that was normal. Sure..?, but I still wanted mine removed. During the removal, my nail tech Cindy ignored several attempts to tell her that she only had to remove the dip from the upper half of my nail. Cindy applied the grinder all over my natural nails and gave me rings of fire, causing excruciating pain. When trimming my cuticles, Cindy made big rough cuts that left marks (photo attached). While painting my nails, a piece of dust or hair got stuck on my thumb nail. When I asked her to remove it perhaps with tweezers (I hate when dust/hair gets trapped in the top coat) she gaslit me and told me there was no hair before proceeding to smush it down into my wet nails with an acetone brush. She repeated this several times to the nail before needing to wipe it clean and start over. That could have been prevented, and with the multiple corrections she had to make with acetone, I ended up spending over 2.5 hours there for what should have been a basic service. At the end of my service, Cindy would not let me leave until my nails were dry (Coffee N Nails does not have nail dryers). But when I had had enough and decided to leave, she had already moved on to a different customer's pedicure and neglected to finish the treatment with cuticle oil, leaving my fingers dry and crusty with dried excess top coat now sealed onto my skin surrounding my nails. This is not the first time I've had a manicurist from Coffee N Nails be negligent and forget steps in the manicure process. Last year, I had the manager (I forget her name) do a dip on me during a busy period around 5pm. She rushed the entire process and made me feel like I was being a burden to her while roughly handling my nails. She forgot to cure two nails before sending me off and since they were sticky, they were ruined as soon as I left the salon. When I came back to the salon immediately to have it corrected, she was blatantly rude and told me that there was nothing wrong with the nails and I must have not been careful with them after leaving. Overall, Coffee N Nails does a terrible job with quality control across their many nail techs. It's really a gamble whether or not you get the short end of the stick once you walk in. A couple of their nails techs are amazing, like Daniel (hence +1 star), but it's never a guarantee that he'll be available. It's not worth seeing any other nail tech at that salon.

After getting targeted by IG to try this salon, I succumbed and went in for a gel manicure. The first thing I noticed when I arrived is how insanely crowded it was and also it smelled so strongly of nail polish and other related chemicals. I thought well, I can tough it out for an hour to get some fire nails I asked for the super popular Hailey Beiber inspired nails and got this "r u kidding me" attitude. But whatever, I don't care. What I did care about was that I wasn't made aware that 1 layer of chrome powder would be an extra 18 dollars!! Okay, I'm not stingy but really? Your gel manicure costs 38 and a simple swab of powder is another half the price of the entire manicure? No thanks, definitely not worth it. I guess what I'm most salty about was being treated like some annoying trend following sheep but then being charged an extra 18 for the privilege. Not cool guys. Thanks but see you never again.

Pointy almond shape, dip and design

Thanh did my nails was incredible! I got a full set dip, extensions, and pointy almond shaping and designs on top. He was very careful when shaping my nails and made sure to take his time so that the nails after dipping were even and shaved down. After that, I showed him a picture of the design I wanted and he carefully did each nail making sure the lines were straight and that it was the way I liked it. And for the smiley face, another technician helped to get the thin round circle. This is my favorite set of nails I've ever gotten and have high praises for this place. The result was even better than the original picture I had in mind. In total, I spent $100 for shaping, nail extension, dip powder, and nail designs and left a $25 tip which I think is a very fair price for the quality. I wish I had gotten the name of the man who did the set but sadly I did not. Would highly recommend!!

another great set. although I was charged $10 extra for "shaping". This time my tech filed down my nails twice instead of clipping them when I said from the beginning I wanted them shorter. Not sure why and it's the first time I've ever been charged for shaping (when clipping would have been the cheaper/easier solution). But overall clean set.

Ugggggh...I've been here countless times and I'm officially just not giving them business anymore. This set was $90. Ninety dollars. How????? I feel slightly robbed. I had a favorite tech here who was amazing, but since she left, I've had careless work every time. $18 extra for chrome and my nails are uneven, lopsided, bumpy -- and why do they make the pinky nails so short? I literally never know what kind of quality I'll receive here when I leave. My tech was very nice and funny but it's not worth what I paid. EDIT: I fixed my nails at home and they look way better

I've been here twice now and they have done an incredible job with the details of my sets. I immediately made them my "go to" nail salon. I've never had any problems, so I'm shocked to see some of these reviews!

Acrylic left under my nail
Kelsey R.

If I could give this business no stars I would. The absolute worst nail salon. Go at your own risk. Had to waste my time and gas to go back the day after I got my nails done here because 3 of them peeled off. I got acrylic set with gel and they didn't even apologize the next day when I came back. To be transparent they were actually very rude. These pictures are my "fixed" nails fresh out of the salon the SECOND time when they were supposed to fix them. This is not how nails should look fresh out of the salon on the same day. Multiple people were complaining while I was there because the staff forgot their appointment or I someone was saying they were rough on their nails or they went back on the price they told them prior. Also I'm not sure why they call it "coffee" and nails- everyone around me was getting offered a drink but I did not get offered. I had to ask for one towards the end because my throat was so dry. There's so many nail salons in Austin this one is not worth your time or money.

Dipping powder and design by Ellie
Audrey L.

Best experience every time I come! My girl is Ellie, super talented, patient, careful and has a good taste about nails design. When I ask for design, she always gives me her thoughts to make my nails charming and not too cheesy, since I love design but still want a professional looking at my workplace. Never disappointed! For pedicure: I love the pedicure - Massage chair and treatment. There are many options for your pedicure choice. I always go with gel polish at the end. It is long lasting and always looking fresh. The salon has a good vibe, friendly environment. They always give me sweet greetings, offer me drinks. They have coffee, other beverages and alcohol. There are many parking spots, safe and easy, even the salon is located closed to UT- downtown area. Come and check it out!

I had been looking for a new place to get a facial because my last place was not living up to my expectations. I had stumbled upon Ann Marie Skin. What sold me was she does reiki facials!! I am a huge fan of reiki and also have been trained as a level one. I had given Ann Marie a quick text and find she had an opening that evening. Score!! I have since been back twice with another appointment on the books. I would recommend booking in advance as her schedule does book up. The location is a little odd but she had told me she had been there for years. Her esthetician room is comforting and relaxing. The pillows she uses are wonderful! After each facial I always feel relaxed and refreshed. She uses eminence products which are a luxury skin care line that always smells amazing! There is on the street parking and she is located right across the street of Whole Foods near the CBD shop.
