i had my full set done here, acrylic with french tip design; ben did my nails and a lady i don't know her name she did my basic pedicure. i have a lot to say about my visit. the only reason i am giving this place 2 stars and not 1 star is because ben was a great man and i think he genuinely is working hard for his family and what not. i can't say he didn't try his best on my design, he did great shaping prior to design; however he did mess up on my thumb french design and didn't fix it. it's fine because i know he tried - but if you're gonna charge me full price for a design that is done not as good as what you show on your yelp and instagram clients then perhaps make ben do the shaping and get the tip he deserves and have the skilled person do my design and get her share of the $20 you're gonna charge me. my pedicure lady was the definition of halfassed effort. she offered me the option to do gel; i declined as i was getting a full set and it's out of my budget for the day as if i got gel polish on my toes i don't think it would be a comfortable design for me; i change my colors a lot actually. however when i declined her attitude changed and she just halfassed her way through my pedicure; she barely used any pressure on my legs and i've honestly gotten more effort from any pedicure than her. after she was done she went and sat to look at her phone. now what is my biggest critique? atmosphere. aside from the no coffee offered i got a coke. the place is nice looking but the nail techs and workers there are literally obnoxious. i come to the nail for a relaxing luxurious time, i expect the employees there to be professional, yet what i experienced my first visit was hearing the techs scream, shout, laugh, and repeatedly making unnecessary sounds while i was trying to enjoy my experience. this lasted the entire time there and the people never stopped being loud. it was distracting, disturbing, and i don't ever want to return again. for premium prices i got an experience that was worse than the normal low end nail shops. great time! price breakdown: $50 full set + $5 shaping + $20 french tip design = $75 for nails (lasted 3 days before chipped and i got a new color somewhere else) pedicure was $35 read more

I left this place feeling defeated and upset. I have really strong, healthy, natural nails. I came in with long healthy nails with gel on them, I asked for a gel manicure. There was miscommunication from the person who greeted me and the person who was helping me, and the person helping me asked if I had acrylics on, I said no, and he said "yes you do" and proceeded to drill the hell out of my nails. It hurt, I asked him to stop. He then told me I needed to put tips on my nails, I said no thank you. He keeps drilling and telling me that I need tips and dip powder. I raised my voice a little and said I asked for a gel manicure.. he got angry and put his fingers in my face and said "I asked you three times if you wanted dip".... Which yes, he did... but all three times I said, "no thank you, just gel." He then got visibly upset, I apologized for the miscommunication, but I truly think he was just trying to rush and wasn't paying attention to what I was asking of him. He rushed even more, I left with 5 bleeding fingers, one is infected and oozing yellow stuff now. I am really upset about how I left with my nails being flimsy, I have infected cuticles, and they are all different lengths. They look okay from afar, but the gel top coat was put on sloppily and the gel is very lumpy and uneven. I was clear about what I wanted while there, I stood up for myself, I was kind and made sure I was over communicating, but I was being disregarded and others were even looking at me shaking their heads in solidarity because it was almost comical the way I was being ignored when trying to ask for a basic gel manicure. It has been 4 days, my fingers are in pain and swollen, and I am just overall not happy with the way everyone handled themselves, sent me away with bleeding fingers, and still charged me full price after almost two hours of struggling to get through to the person helping me. Also adding that I was not offered any coffee and I didn't see anyone in the salon drinking a coffee or any kind of offered beverage, so I'm not sure what these reviews are raving about. This was the worst experience I've had at a nail salon. I want to preface by saying I'm sure the nail tech really matters here since other reviews are good. I tried coming here once before over the weekend. My appointment was at 10:30 but I came in around 10 since my morning plans hadn't worked out. Instead of being told that my wait time would be longer than another half an hour, I was just told to sit and wait. I wouldn't have minded being told that the wait was long so I could leave and come back but nothing was communicated to me. No worries though, I left. I made another appointment for today and honestly, I wish I'd just gone somewhere else. My nail tech cut too much cuticle from several of my nails to the point of bleeding on two of them. When I winced at how much it burned when she completely ignored the bleeding, she seemed to be getting annoyed. When we began applying the acrylics, it burned too much to the point that my body was getting hot so she called the manager over and he offered me dip nails because that wouldn't burn. I opted to just not go through with the appointment. I wouldn't have minded this either except the manager, while removing the acrylics, kept commenting on how the tech did a great job at my cuticles and was trying to "help me". The nail tech was also visibly annoyed and I didn't receive an apology or any hospitality. It felt like it was my fault that my cuticles were left bleeding? I will definitely not be coming back here. Like truly, this sucked. I was looking forward to a chrome nail for my upcoming trip but I'll just be letting these heal for now. read more

I made an appointment at 5:30, I wasn't even looked at until 6:20 after I expressed my annoyance. I am pretty understanding of understaffing but it was just a little annoying to have it as an appointment option when no one was available. All I did was white acrylic coffin nails and I was so disappointed. She was not very attentive at all and the nail polish looks bumpy and unclean. I went with my dad as I needed a mani/pedi and he wanted a pedicure with a massage. We called ahead and made an appointment earlier in the day and asked to please be seen at the same time as we did have a flight to make later that afternoon. They unfortunately booked a lot of people at around the same time so we had to wait 40 minutes to be seen. Once we were seated in the pedicure chair it did take them another 15 minutes to get someone to come by and start the service. By the end of the pedicure my feet were very wrinkly from being in the water for so long. My manicure also had a lot of bubbles and if you zoom in on the photo you'll see it's not a soft coat. It looks super bumpy :( Although the 2 people that worked on my dad and I were very nice and attentive (offering us water multiple times) it didn't make up for the long wait or the actual manicure. read more

First time going here was a month ago! I got dip nails for the first time and told binz I wanted a fun modern style that would grow out well since I would be hiking in Colorado. HE KILLED IT. These nails rock! I got so many compliments, they survived not only a month, but a month of significant wear, even horseback riding! Not a single one peeled off at ALL. After three weeks, I filed them down with a drug store file with no problem and they kept kicking!! Getting them redone this week and excited to come back. I am very disappointed with the way I was treated here. The entire time felt very rushed. They give me a cold bowl of water to put my hands in which had somebody else's cuticles and pink nail polish in it. Very unsanitary. Then the lady accidentally pulls part of the skin i my finger off which makes my finger bleed because she is rushing. (I feel like if I acted more dramatically I would've been treated better). Then yes they are finished there's nail polish on my hand that is glued along with my finger nail in the skin and my finger are glued because there's nail polish everywhere. The lady puts lotion on my hands then says all done and moves onto the next customer. I go to check out my finger is still bleeding so I asked if there would be a discount because my finger is in a worse condition than it was before coming here and paying to have them look better. The lady looked at me like I was stupid but then reluctantly gave me a 10% discount. I understand that mistakes do happen however businesses typically adjust pricing when they do make mistakes since they didn't give their best service to that customer. I have heard pretty good things about this place and my friends go here but I guess it just depends on what person you get to do your nails. Very disappointed and have not been treated like that before. The nails are cute but there are plenty of other places that can paint nails like this while also treating me nicely. read more

I came to Celfie about 6 months ago looking for some inventive nail art and Sammi did not disappoint - matched my nails to a textile I'd brought in, and came up with a great concept that was surprisingly fun to wear vs. annoying and heavy. Moved to the area a few weeks back and was looking for a nail salon that also had good waxing services and decided to give Celfie another try - was not disappointed. All the techs are friendly, they never upsell you (both times I was there, they just ask you at the start of your service to point out on a menu which mani/pedi you want, and never push for more products during), and go out of their way to make you comfortable. The massages and paraffin waxes are actually long and strong, even if you get the basic mani / pedi. Sammi has also become my new go-to waxer; I'm super picky about who I go to and she maintained my brow shape perfectly, was fast and pain free on face / arms, and was great at getting every hair without leaving behind ultra stickiness of any kind. Prices were also super transparent: when I added up the menu cost of my pedicure, manicure, face wax, arm wax, + extra areas (neck), it was exactly what I expected, to the dollar - and was more affordable than crappy nail salons in the area. I couldnt decide on 3 or 4 stars. Place is run down, they said they were renovating the entire place but they only painted?? If my friend hadnt taken me here, i probably would have never tried it. Nancy does great nails. I use my hands ALOT at work and im rough with them but my long nails have yet to break. She put extra dip layers to assure they stay in tact. She shapes them extremely well and shes a sweetheart. Other than that, the other techs dont seem too nice and my first time was better than my second. Dont know if ill go back due to the ambiance isnt very welcoming and wasnt pleased with the service both times, aside from nancy. read more

I had their Viet Coffee - it was great! I was in and out very quickly because they had two people working on me at once - which was perfect! My most recent visit will be my last visit. When I came to get acrylic nails, they were applied horribly. The technician I got barely knew how to do her job and got up 4 times to ask different employees on how to do my nails (dip acrylic in one color). She didn't file my nails or do any proper care before starting and just started to file down with the electric filer nearly to the skin. After the fake tips were on she applied the dip so thick that it was at least 1/2 a centimeter thick and very obviously bumpy and fake looking. 3 of the nails had dip marks on them that she noticed after she finished and didn't offer to fix them, she only smiled at me after looking at them and said "it's my first time using this color" as though that's supposed to make up for the bad application. The day after I got the acrylics put on my fingers were radiating pain and felt sore/hot to the touch. Now that I've gotten them taken off I can see all of the damage left behind from her work, all of my nails are brittle and paper thin and 4 of them have huge nasty gouges that go down to the skin under my nail since she filed my natural nail down. I have to wear bandaids on my hands until my nails grow back out. I will not be coming back, I am so disappointed in the product, service, and damage to my nails that will take months to heal. I'm a veteran at getting my nails done and I have never had this type of pain during nail application/ugly nail application before or this type of damage left behind now that I've had them taken off. read more

Rude service and overpriced! I am new to the area, which means the hunt for a new nail salon is on. I called and made an appointment, and they got me right in. They take walk ins as well. I signed on on the computer and the gentleman showed me to the colors. I originally was going to do a gel manicure, but changed to SNS (Dipping powder) and a regular pedicure. The interior: clean, but a little cramped and a little outdated. Selfie photos on the wall to go with the theme. Service: The guy who did my manicure..manicure is a stretch because my cuticles still look awful, so basically an application. What rubbed me the wrong way was that he started filing them in a round shape. When I asked them to be square he said my nails were too short. Then he filed the square, but too much. Oh, and filed with an attitude. Also, there was no massage, cuticle cutting, lotion, nothing! In all of the years of getting my nails done, I have never been told that they could not be square. Also? Who starts shaping without asking? The lady who did my pedicure was nice, and did a good job. The scrub smelled really good. I upgraded to the longer lasting polish ( OPI) so it was $6 more. Color selection: A lot of SNS and Gel colors. The Regular polish had an okay assortment, but a lot of the bottles need to be replaced. Yes, my nails are done..almost $100 later, but my policy with nail salons is that if you get an attitude with me for giving you my business....I won't be back.
