I go to this coffee shop almost every day. They have some interesting coffees there, but I've never had anything but the house and the medium roast. They don't sell house made food which would be awesome, but they do have some pretty awesome pastries. The coffee is great, but be careful if you ask for "just a little bit of cream" since they will give you 1/2 coffee and 1/2 cream, but maybe I'm just picky. Luckily I started drinking my coffee black and that hasn't been a problem since. The patio is lots of fun to sit on during the summer and tourist watch. It's also hilarious to count how many parking tickets get written while you're sitting there. It's a surprisingly high number for so few parking spots within the area. Protip: Park in the 15 minute zone. It doesn't actually mean 15 minutes. read more

Nice little coffee shop in Woods Hole. As other reviewers have mentioned, it definitely has a homey local coffee shop feel. There is a great mix of seating options - small tables for coffee dates, large tables for working on projects, and couches, armchairs, and window seats for curling up with a good book. There are several books and boardgames that customers can use - so if you come empty handed fear not! I had a hot chocolate which was cheap (less than $2) and delicious. Props on the range of hot chocolate options. This shop is a quick walk to the ferry terminal. I highly recommend it if you are in Woods Hole for a weekend, or just passing through. read more

Nice place to grab an iced tea. They have a huge selection of teas. Around 6 types of each tea category (green, black, red). I tried the honey lemon iced tea. Which was only for 2.25. Pretty decent. The place also has a vintage feeling to it and the cashier was very nice. read more

Today was my first visit to this establishment, and I must say, I was impressed. They had an extensive selection of coffee, tea, and smoothie drinks, as well as sandwiches. Like one of the other reviewers, I ordered the Mexican Mocha Latte (I got mine iced). It was very good, with notes of cinnamon and cocoa powder. I also got one "cheetah bean" to try (an espresso bean covered with a blend of chocolates), and it was enjoyable. While I was waiting for my drink to be made, I noticed the recording booth mentioned in another review, but there was a chair blocking it, so I wasn't sure it gets any use these days. I also walked around the side of the counter where they had a container of free water, but there was no ice in it, and I'm not into room temperature/warm drinks, so I passed on that. Overall, a nice place. Coffee was decent, and staff were friendly, but my small Mexican Mocha was over $4. Not something I can afford every day (when all the $1 coffee places dot the map), but it was nice for a new treat. Perhaps I'll be back to try another beverage soon. read more

Coffee O has my vote for one reason. The Mexican Hot Chocolate. That is not to say that there aren't more reasons to like Coffee O, it's just once I tried the Mexican hot chocolate, there was no going back. This thing is GOOD. It's that almost spicy chocolate, just some extra sass in there to make it exciting. I love it. If you're going to get it though, get the small, because the one time I got a medium it tasted less concentrated, but that might have just been a mind game. The quiche is also delish. And of course there is something to be said about Coffee O being in Woods Hole where you can look out at the water or sit on the porch and people watch marine biologist style. Nice coffeeshop with a good vibe inside. Casual dress is appropriate, sandals and tank tops are the norm. The Mexican Mocha is DELICIOUS! This is the coffee to try. There is no parking lot only side street, walking is best. Coffeeshop is open till 4 M-SAT, till 2 SUN. Baristas were dressed neatly and seemed to be having a good time. This is a weird review for me to write. Coffee O is one of those defining places of your growing up years for me. I turned 21 living just down the bike path, and visited here nearly every day that summer. I wrote my first research paper at their tables, made some of my favorite friends, and went on a few sweet coffee dates too. I was a die hard pie-in-the-sky fan and was bummed when they were building a new coffee shop in Woods Hole. Sure, it would have more places to sit inside, sure, it would have free wi-fi, sure, they would have a bathroom...and sure enough, the place won me over. I will always love the "other" coffee/pastry shop but I split my time now. The outdoor patio is a great place to sit and watch the world go by, the staff is funny and friendly, and the pastries and coffee are really good. There's a bit much going on inside now a days...movie rentals, random gift shop areas, kids play area...but it's still a nice place to grab a coffee and/or quick bite to eat. read more

NOT a family-friendly cafe, very rude and inconsiderate staff. Will not recommend if you are pregnant and need a quiet tea break. I was forced to lie down on the corner couch for maybe 15 minutes after ordering my herbal tea as I am (quite visibly) pregnant and had a sudden bout of fatigue. The cafe was pretty empty, and I made sure not to soil the couch with my shoes, and maybe napped for 15 minutes. They rudely woke me up saying I cannot lie down, and even that would have been acceptable if I did not get the attitude that came with it. When I mentioned I was pregnant I got a shrug and a perfunctory apology, but basically they made it pretty unwelcome. Btw, this is after i have been a loyal customer for almost four years. Go to Pie in the Sky a few houses up water street if you want a more family-friendly atmosphere. read more

This was a wonderful find in Wood's Hole. The cappuccino was prepared expertly by the barista and the bagel was fresh and delicious. There is no bicycle parking but there were utility poles and traffic signs to lock up the bike. Only two of our group of 30 stopped here because the other place in the sky had plenty of bike racks. I have tried both coffee shops on this block and Coffee Obsession is second to none. read more

Their loose leaf tea is good. Had the Assam with steamed milk. Quick service and friendly baristas. Convenient location in terms of the Steamboat Authority ferry (a 5-minute walk away) and parking (right next to the shop). They have a great outdoor seating area carved out from their porch that's right on Water Street and you can people-watch or read a book in the shade. The interior is your typical New England coffee shop but a lot more spacious. They sell locally produced mugs and pottery inside, as well as flip-flops, cards, and other MV souvenirs. The drinks were pretty good, but the service was grumpy and bordering on hostile. Maybe just the bad weather, which today is more Seattle than Cape Cod. There are lots of great independent coffee houses in Seattle, and from the other reviews this place sounded like it'd be fantastic. Maybe with lower expectations I would've rated it higher, but I don't believe it deserves a 5, and the ornery service, paid on-street parking and because it closes at 2pm, I'm at a 3. My husband is advocating for a 4 because his Mexican mocha is great, and something hard to find anywhere in America. They also have spicy chai not from a powder.
