Nice family spot with plenty of outdoor seating, but the wine was thin in flavor and overall forgettable.

This is one of my favorite wineries to visit on Long Island! Laura makes you feel so welcome and their wines are always delicious. I was surprised that I liked the Chardonnay (which Laura called Chardon-yay!). They also sell award winning jams. Great place to visit when you're out East. read more

We came to coffee pot cellars after reading some good reviews about their award winning wines. Laura was very courteous. We sampled the rose and the gewurztraminer. We liked the latter and purchased a bottle. It is a dry wine with a burst of fruity flavors as mentioned on the bottle. The backyard has some tables and it was nice to sip and relax. read more

Wines are still very good with a bigger selection since the last time I was here. We did a flight of 6 tasting with the added bonus of a seventh courtesy of Laura and Beasley. Beasley looked a bit tired but it was hot out and the tasting room was very busy. We enjoyed all of the wines especially the Gewurztraminer with a distinct lychee flavor but not too sweet and the Beasley blend 60% cab franc and 40% Merlot. I asked Laura about the current type of bees she is raising and she told me that she tried the Russian bees but they are nasty and like to sting and switched to Italian bees which are more laid back and friendly. Now I know that Laura has a sense of humor and thought she was busting my chops but after I left I googled Russian and Italian bees and there is such a thing. If she told me that the Italian bees drink wine and the Russians only drink Vodka then I would be somewhat skeptical. If you have any questions about bees don't hesitate to ask. She is also doing work with Monarch butterflies and has some caterpillars in terrariums that you could view. Always an interesting time and something new to learn at Coffee Pot Cellars. read more

Lovely gem of a place! It is one of those quaint shops that make you feel right at home. I was immediately greeted by Beasley, an adorable pug and Laura, the shop owner. Pretty good wines. VERY talkative host. My husband and I came here as our first stop along the road. It was early in the morning and we were the only two there. The space is small and eclectic, selling lots of different things in the store besides their wine. The owner, Laura, makes her own honey so that was definitely for sale. They do NOT sell coffee, so the name of the winery is a little confusing. In fact, I'm not even sure why that is their name, or why the logo is a lighthouse. It was a little all over the place (coffee, lighthouse, honey = winery?). There are so many awesome places to check out in this area, and this one was fun, but nothing spectacular in terms of the wine itself. read more

Love this place! We've been here before and have come back numerous times. The wine is excellent. I love their new cider and honey sparkling wine! Light and vibrant with a hint of honey. Different but GOOD! I'm a favorite of the Beasley's Blend. Named after the dog (which I'm a sucker for) but not a heavy red with lots of flavor. So the gent who makes the wine over at Ospreys has opened up his own tasting room, he uses grapes from the other guys and makes it for this tiny place with a gift shop feel. His wife keeps bees and sells honey inside so check that out as well. The wine doesn't do it for me as I liked almost none of our flights but they get the extra star for how friendly and outgoing they can be. I like a conversation and I like learning something new, that's exactly what you'll get here... Unless you're a cranky know-it-all or something... Anyway stop in if you want, but don't miss it, it's truly very small and easily missed. A nice detour from your mainstream wine trail vineyards. read more

Spent a day touring the north fork wineries and visited Coffee Pot on the recommendation of another winery we visited. It's a tiny, quaint location right on the main road. We walked in and were greeted by Laura one of the co-owners who happens to be a bee keeper. Her husband Adam joined us and explained how he has been a wine maker for years and finally decided to open their own place a year ago. We happened to be there on their 1 year anniversary and they were so thankful we were there. For $7 we got to try 4 of their wines - 2 whites - a Chardonnay and a Sauvignon Blanc and two reds - a merlot and a red blend. All four were fabulous but I liked the Sauvignon Blanc best. In addition to wines, they have different hand made products made from the bees - honey, beeswax candles, lip balm, jams. I left with a bottle of wine, a lip balm and a wonderful solid lotion bar - it's amazing!. Really pretty tasting room too! read more

Coffee Pot Cellars has a delightful wine portfolio of which my favorites are their Meritage, Merlot, and Sauvignon blanc. Everything they make is absolutely delicious! They also have an easy wine club and a tasting room filled with fun stuff ranging from bee keeping products (the owners also have a bee keeping business and Laura even gave a TED talk on the subject) to fun wine things. The wine tasting room run by wine maker husband and beekeeper wife. There are various honey bee product once you step inside of the tasting room. Husband is a winemaker at osphire vineyard in Long Island, this is his own stuff. They don't have their own vineyard, get grapes from other vineyards. Wife who was helping wine tasting was really helpful and personal. Tasting fee is reasonable between $8-10. Tasting room itself was very clean and welcoming. They have giant winenosor in front of tasting room to put wine corks from this winery. I tasted their variety, my favorite was 2010 maritage. Second best I liked there was Gewürztraminer, it was dry and had lots of aroma. Doesn't have many variety of wine but it's still very potential which can grow bigger. This is still small and new winery around this area, please drop by to taste some wine and have little chat with the proprietors. read more

This is a tasting room right on 25. We stopped in because we saw there was a dog there made famous by a wine publication spread on dogs of the wineries. Beasley is his name and he is a black pug. He was not there today sadly. The wines weren't bad at all. Try Beasleys Blend named after the dog. It's a red blend. They also keep bees and advocate for saving the pollinators. There is a neat little indoor bee box with a glass wall and you can see the bees hard at work. The lady there is very nice and friendly. There is a wineasairous outside made of wine corks. It's a work in progress but an adorable idea. We may add a cork to it. read more

The best experience we've had visiting tasting rooms. Laura was a fabulous host, discussing wines and life in a way that was compelling and entertaining. It felt like an old friend or family visit. We met Beasley, tasted seven delicious and distinctive wines, and had to leave with at least one bottle of the Meritage. To find a red wine that my family and I all enjoyed as much as we did was nearly a miracle. In terms of wine, this isn't my favorite North Fork winery, but in terms of atmosphere, it's always one I recommend. Laura is always full of energy and jokes and bee knowledge. Her dog, Beasley, is always there to say hi. She sells awesome products that she makes with her honey from her bees; I've given her candles away on multiple occasions. Back to the wine, though. I'm never in love with their whites, but I do really like their reds, especially Beasley's Blend. The wines are reasonably priced, and their tasting is a great price. It's not really a "sit down and spend the day" winery, but it's awesome for a tasting and a chat with Laura. read more

Can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet! As Laura says, wine tasting shouldn't be stressful - and it's anything but in this quaint and cozy tasting room. Laura is welcoming and fun, and very attentive. Spokespug Beasley is also delightful. The wines are quite good - the standouts for me are the Sauvignon Blanc and Cyser - sweetened with Laura's own honey. Oh yeah - you'll learn more about bees here than you ever knew you could want to know. Great spot! read more

My partner and I are from the city and spent the day touring the wineries in North Fork. This was our favorite! Laura, one of the owners, told us about the wines and did our pours. She is clearly passionate about the environment and what she does. Interesting. A boutique wine store that offers their own line of wines & local bee wax products. There is a neat wine cork dinosaur outside to welcome all visitors. The inside is clean & welcoming. We met Laura (owner) and she is friendly and super knowledgeable of all the wines. She also gave us a short seminar in bees which is a quite interesting subject. You can feel this wine cellar is truly a labor of love. Anyway, we enjoyed our short visit and the wine prices are quite reasonable. The one regret is that we didn't get a chance to taste the honey. Btw, the combination of local honey & wine have great potential. With Summer approaching, this local stop could even be better if they could improve the outdoor back area to include a "bee theme" picnic area with large umbrellas & then serve some type of honey inspired soft ice-cream with graham cracker. This would be great for the entire family in the Summer & the Fall. read more

Came here over the weekend with my girlfriend and her family, while making our rounds on the North Fork. Out of all the wineries we visited (10-15), this one stood out the most. Not only do they make wine here, but they also raise bees, and make the most delicious honey. We met Laura, one of the owners, and she couldn't have been sweeter and more knowledgable. The place itself was also super tasteful, and for what it lacks in size, it makes up for in character. O and the wine was DELICIOUS. We bought the house Merlot, and had it with dinner that night. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great, and unique winery experience on the north fork. read more

This was such a cute little quaint place. Kind off unassuming as you drive by, but has a big cork and iron dinosaur out front. We ended up getting some honey, as well as a few bottles to send home. The hostess was super nice and we had a few laughs with her as she told us about the family run business. I highly recommend places like this. My husband and I have been visiting this establishment for years. They are the main reason we keep going back and usually the only wine place we visit! Laura even knows my daughter's name! It's a small intimate setting and we get a chance to discuss the seasonal wines and everything that she has been doing as a beekeeper! The wines are amazing!! This was the best stop on our tour of the region. We visited 5 other wineries in the area, which were great (except for Duck Walk, which was terrible). This place was not at all pretentious, very welcoming, and had a reasonable price for their flight of 6 tastings. The highlight was learning not just about wine, but also about the bees that are kept there at Blossom Meadow farm! In addition to wine, you can meet the beekeeper on site, and buy locally made lipbalm and candles and honey from the source. As for the wine, the Beasly' s blend was easy-to-drink,; and we bought 6 bottles, 2 chards, 2 Sauv. Blancs, and 2 Beasley's. This was a wonderful place to complete our wine tour and we will absolutely be back. The owners are greagrious, thoughtful, and down-to-earth, and after we decorated two corks for the wine-o-saur, we vowed to return! read more
