I can always rely on Coffee Rani for a decent, quick meal. In fact, when we first moved here, we relied on Coffees Rani a lot because I didn't have time to cook. There are so many choices from sandwiches and salads to played dishes, like fish and chicken enters. I'm a big fan of the chicken salad sandwich, it's enough for two, except my husband usually eats my other half! So no leftovers for me. Inside and outside dining at the Mandeville location and it ever stops raining! They are always busy, so there's really not a best time to go--expect a little wait. read more

My wife grew up in Mandeville pretty much her whole life so as I have visited her family from time to time, I've been lucky to visit many different restaurants in the area. This is one restaurant that I always want to go to when I'm in the area. As one would expect, it's a coffee shop, but the best part about this place is the salads. Now, I've only tried 3 different salads, but I love all three of them: Shrimp and Pesto Salad, Santa Fe, and the Magazine w/Poppy Seed dressing. My favorite is the Santa Fe w/smoked turkey pieces, carrots, black beans, hominy, crunchy chili noodles, etc. etc. (you can read everything on their website). I think the best part about this place is the memories I have eating here while I was still dating my wife and our conversations and even having a good lunch w/my wife's pastor who eventually married us. They also have sandwiches, pasta bowls, etc. etc., but trust me, order one of their salads and you WON'T be disappointed. read more

Visited on June 10th between 4 and 5, The person on the phone took my order, didn't repeat it back and got it wrong. When I arrived, I told them about it. I was not apologized to. Then when I they re-did it, and brought it to my car, the lady had an attitude and didn't even give me my full order. I will not be back. read more

I enjoyed my lunch here. I ordered a peppermint mocha latte and the curry chicken salad. This place was packed with women on their lunch breaks, but I came in a bit early (11:15) and was able to find a seat very easily. Most of The staff was very friendly though the older brunette woman taking orders behind the counter seemed frustrated when I asked a few simple questions like where the silverware was. Not everyone has been here before lady. Salad was amazeballs and the coffee had good flavor it was just a little too sweet for me (50 percent syrup). After just a couple of minutes in Coffee Rani, it is plainly obvious that it is well managed. The tables are clean, the servers are smiling, and so are the customers. It is an order at the counter and then be seated and have your order brought to the table. Food was well prepared and presented and delivered promptly. This is my first ever Yelp review. I am not easily impressed by on-site catering, but my experience with Coffee Rani was exceptional. I cater over 100 events a year all over the country, and the feedback I got from my clients after dinner was that this was the best yet. Great place to get a delicious, fresh meal. This place is very busy around lunch and it's hard to find a parking spot sometimes, but the staff is courteous and works quickly. Highly recommend the Bleusy Chicken salad, Curry Chicken salad, and the Cobb salad. I also really like their chicken salad sandwich on a croissant. I've also tried their spinach and artichoke dip and grilled shrimp caesar salad, which was very good but not the best I've ever had. I've never really had anything here that I didn't like. Went here for lunch for the first time and absolutely fell in love! There were so many delicious looking things on the menu I had trouble deciding what to get. Ended up with a grilled apple, fig & goat cheese sandwich. Served with a spring greens salad and iced coffee. Side Cesar salad for my toddler & green eggs & ham for my husband. All were outstanding. You place your order at the counter, get your number- all the silverware, condiments, and to go boxes are at a station -you help yourself...you put your number in the little holder on your table and they bring your food to you. This is a review of the Super 7 salad I had today. I would've written the restaurant directly but I can't find an email address and I don't have a FB account, so ... I've eaten at Coffee Rani numerous times and it's always pretty good -- sometimes better than others, but their salads are usually reliable. I'm trying to eat less meat, so I decided to try the Super 7 salad at it was absolutely shameful. Especially given the $14.50 price. I had ordered takeout. As soon as I opened the container I smelled rotten greens. Sure enough, I picked out several slimy old leaves. This salad is listed as having "kale, spinach, purple cabbage, spring mix, grape tomatoes, garbanzo beans, broccoli slaw, shaved brussel sprouts, sliced beets, toasted pumpkin seeds, golden raisins, feta & panko-crusted goat cheese." There was no kale, no brussels sprouts, about 4 tiny raw florets of broccoli, and literally (not exaggerating) about 4 garbanzo beans, 5 pumpkin seeds, maybe a teaspoon of finely crumbled feta and about 1/4 of a small beet. Stopped in for a Togo order today, they were packed. My only complaint or suggestion is the menus need to be easier to get to for someone ordering at the counter when the line for dine in customers is like it was today stretching in front of the Togo "order point." That said, a customer passed me one. Faith was expediting Togo and is more like an octopus handling everything as if she has 8 hands....and could not have been more pleasant, efficient and absolutely the best WHILE being swamped! Every Waitr driver that showed up she literally opened each box showing them what was in each. This may sound unnecessary but after 25 years in the restaurant business I can tell you it's absolutely necessary and doesn't happen often enough. She never once was flustered with any customers, delivery drivers, co-workers, me hawking at everything, other employees fumbling through her work area, etc. She was a dynamo! At least 3 employees checked on me throughout my wait not including Faith. I typically get a little stressed and feel I should jump in and help in situations like this but I thoroughly enjoyed my reasonable wait time because the attitudes and efficiency in which everyone I observed and came in contact with. Then on top of that my Mediterranean Veggie Samdwich was awesome. Great job Coffee Rani, especially Faith on Togo! read more

First time. U order from countertop then sit, they bring your food out. The food was great and not small . Everything we order was perfect. Nice staff. Really nice inside. Was alittle confused at end because we had never been there and of course no one left before us to see if we were suppose to clearnour own table or not. But overall wonderful.
