Disappointed visit awhile back. Decided to give it another try since at one time it's was very good. First it seems suspect when Yelp reviews are all good and bad . No middle of the road reviews like food was good service not so good , food ok service great so on so forth. Seems maybe good reviews are staged not by Yelp but by the restaurant'. Also nice when you leave a review good or bad a response is given from business.Well food just barley ok, like I read in someone else's review a bunch of stuck up staff . Shame because at one time it's was a go to place for a least nice fresh salad and soups for sure. Other items also good but really always enjoyed their salads. Place was crowded but I don't get . Places get a following and that's it . I'm guilty of that practice. Follow the crowd. Won't be back again this time after this last experience. read more

Perfect lunch spot for a salad or sandwich! Their specials are always amazing too! In winter, they have a Crab and Gouda Soup. I look forward to it every year! I've always loved coffee Rani but during covid I have to say I give them a fail, putting papers down on the table that is being touched by everyone that sat there before you is unacceptable, the tables need to be wiped with disinfectant. The people behind the counter preparing the food didn't have their mask up over their face and everyone went to the community station to get utensils that is touched by everyone. People in line to order were bunched all together. No 6 ft distancing. This makes me sad. read more

I don't know why I still continue to want to like this place, but each time I go I dislike it more. Got this salad togo and specifically asked for a dressing on the side so it wouldn't get soggy. They looked to be annoying with me making this request. Anyways the salad is basically drenched in dressing when I get home, rendering my salad to be soggy, pitiful and down right gross. We have been to the one in Covington many times and have loved it for years!! Consistent is the key word I would use to describe Coffee Rani. We have never had anything from there we did not enjoy!! The coffee, the teas, the pastries, the desserts, and the regular lunch and dinner menu are all excellent!! Desserts are to die for, so be warned!! Portions are large and the salads are best In the South at least. Lunch is my favorite there but I love all meals really and love to sit on the porch if we go there.
