No exterior sign at all. Found my way inside and it took a few moments to be acknowledged. That's ok, baristas were busy, I get it. I was slightly underwhelmed at the dark interior. It was no where near as clean or charming as I had expected. Once greeted, I asked if I could have my Americano in a mug instead of a to-go cup. [Insert confused face here]. Apparently this was a tough request. Once we cleared this up, payment was processed and I took a seat at a booth. Coffee order was brought out in a small plastic cup. Yes- plastic cups. Mmmm, hot liquid served in plastic is my fav. (I'm kidding of course) worse yet, the coffee was straight up awful. Truly, it was bad and I hate to even say this. I know a small biz needs all the love it can get and I REALLY wanted to love this place. I even had an extra shot of espresso added and this drink wasn't even as good as a gas station. I'm a huge espresso lover. I have a fancy machine at home but I love to support coffee shops when I'm out running errands. There are very rare times that I have negative comments. Sadly, this was one of those rare occasions. On the bright side- clean restrooms & fun art on the walls. And I was able to snap some cute shots with a retro filter.

The bagels were perfect and you can tell everything is made with care. The music adds to the vibe, and I love that they always have different things going on like pop ups, markets, and social events. It feels like a place you actually want to hang out at, not just grab food and leave. Heads up: come early because they run out of their specialty cream cheeses fast, especially the garlic and chive. Definitely worth it though.

Parking is free and pretty easy on the side of the restaurant. I ended up getting a iced strawberry matcha latte from their spring menu and a breakfast burrito that has egg, cheese, and potatoes. The menu does state you have to wait for the burrito as they have to warm them up. The inside of the business is quaint and cute and a great place to get remote work done or meet with a friend for a coffee and treat. The matcha you can get in two different sizes which I chose the 12 oz. and almond milk for my milk of choice. The matcha is presented in this cute smiley face cup that aligns with their brand. However, I was not a fan of their matcha. The strawberry adds a great sweetness but the matcha was bland. It was like I was drinking the milk and strawberry puree which was unfortunate. However, the reason why they still received a 4 star is that breakfast burrito. For beginners, the cost of this burrito and size is amazing. Again, on the menu they state it takes time which it took about 10 minutes. The burrito has these fluffy eggs that really taste homemade - I felt like I was eating something from a friend's kitchen. The potatoes were soft and also everything was seasoned. Adding the hot sauce was perfect touch. Alone, I would definitely come back for that and will try out one of their lattes based on other Yelper's recommendations.

Even better, the coffee comes with a story: sourced directly from the family's farm in Guatemala, with coffee bags available for purchase in the shop so you can bring a little of the experience home with you. With their 3 year anniversary coming up this July, it's easy to see why they've built such a loyal following over the years. To beat the summer heat, I tried their Brazilian lemonade and added strawberry. It was a refreshing and delicious choice! I tried the Cookies and Cream Cold Foam Cold Brew. The cold foam is consistent to what you would expect from a Cookies and Cream flavor, but I didn't find it overly sweet, so if you have a sweet tooth (GUILTY! ‍) then you may find yourself wanting a splash of creamer to make it sing for you LOCAL REVIEW / EVERGREEN REVIEW: I am already a fan of other JBR locations, so why not try another! I love when I'm in a new part of town (for me) and I come across this establishment that's becoming a staple in every major central Florida town it seems. Consistent with their other locations, the bagels are fresh and fluffy. The team running the location is also friendly and welcoming. What stood out for me at this location was their bilingual team member, Kay. This woman had so much energy in her interactions with people. She had me cracking up as she described their fresh of of the oven bagels as having a complimentary steam facial when you crack open your bag. She knows the menu and she also seems to know her regulars. It was a delight to interact with her. I tried the Cacio e Pepe bagel. I felt that the bottom half was absolutely perfect, but the top half a little too salty for me. I paired it with Veggie Cream Cheese which had fresh red peppers mixed in. It really added a boost in flavor. My sister got the Asiago Everything and she said it was the perfect amount of seasoning - and they aren't stingy on their Asiago. She paired it with Onion & Chive cream cheese, which she said was very good. For fun, we also got the Garlic & Herb Whipped Butter. It reminded us of pizza with the herbs as the predominant flavor. Parking at this location is very easy. There are parking spots in front but also behind the building. My only caution is that the front seemed a bit busy, so if you're coming at a peak time in the morning and have any parking anxiety, you may want to play it safe and park behind the building (peep my photos for the fun surprise you might find too!). I visited on a Sunday morning and this location had a steady flow of happy people coming and going. This location also offers a small area of indoor seating. They also had a pop up tent out front for additional seating.

Overall, I did find it expensive for what you get, and I feel there is some criticism here they need to accept: #1 - What we were served looked nothing like the pictures from the first 2 years they were open, in which the desserts are about 60% flavored ice and 40% toppings. What we got was about 97% shaved ice and 3% toppings. (Also, no whipped cream on the polar affogato). #2 - There is a teeny tiny sign on the back wall that you can barely read that states that all orders have a 10% gratuity automatically included. This sign is NOT visible from the cash register, and is 8 get away in 14-16 pt font. Clearly they don't want customers to see it.. Additionally, their POS system is asking you to add gratuity, even though they're already secretly auto-charging you 10% gratuity. That is flat-out disgusting. There was very little labor/time involved. So on top of the high prices, with greatly reduced toppings, they are encouraging people to pay upwards of 30% gratuity? For $8 flavored ice ready in 3 minutes? To make it worse, I'm sure the people working were the owners. Proprietors shouldnt be accepting or soliciting ANY tips at all.
