Coffee Chronicles Chino edition, for those familiar with the coffee landscape there hasn't been any good coffee shops north of the 60 in Chino. Most good coffee shops are in the Chino hills area until now. For those looking for good coffee some key words are associated with this shop. Those words are: Ethiopia, Geisha, Roastery and one of my favorite types of latte the Spanish Latte. Getting here the coffee shops looks to be located in an office plaza that looks like an apartment building. There is a sign that directs you there. Inside the shop is rather small, there is bench seating for 3, but this is mainly a grab and go shop due to its size. I spoke to owners and their first shop is in Fullerton. They've been open about a month and only operating Monday-Friday. For my latte I tried the macadmia nut latte & biscoff. The quality of the quality is great. The macademia nut latte offers a more distinct taste with a coconut aftertaste. The latte is good, but those liking a safer option the biscoff latte is excellent. I got it made as an iced latte instead of ice blended. Great shop making it the best shop in the area north of the 60 in Chino. I look forward to getting a Spanish latte which I'm sure won't disappoint. read more

We came for some coffee in the early morning and it's quite a small coffee shop and it was packed when we got there. Well I got my usually lavender ice latte with oat milk and it was only $5!!! Great breakfast sandwich. I got the jalapeño and cheese bagel and added the spicy mayo and turkey. Bagel was soft and tasty. Not too spicy but flavorful. Loving the unique soft boiled egg on the sandwich. I got a mango tea. Sooo fresh. Everyone that worked there was friendly. My sandwich and tea came out quick. Coffee up Roastery, was amazing. A remarkable tasting coffee, a very unique but refreshing and smooth tasting iced latte. You can see the small dark specs from their vanilla syrup which is always a great sign. I loved their plastic cups, very ergonomic and comfortable around the lips. Small yet cozy interior, clean and designed to maximize their limited space as they added a table to sit inside. Both their pesto grilled cheese sandwich and their Spicy Chicken Avocado panini were incredibly delicious. Both very filling and savory paninis, and kudos to the packaging. I loved their labels and how the sandwiches were nicely wrapped, it was an aesthetically pleasing sight that I'm sure is going to attract those online reviewers, TikTok-ers, and foodies around. The service felt like home, it's ran by the guy, his brother, wife and mother in law. As I was eating, I heard the gentleman say "hello Frank, welcome back" as the customer smiled, that's a personalized experience, that shows it's more than just transactional. Went in on 7/4 around 10:50am and I was the only customer. It was only my 2nd time here and I wanted to figure out if I wanted to try something new on the menu. The cashier said to the girl working with her "it takes them longer to read the menu then it does for us to make the drinks." Mind you I had been in there maybe 40 seconds max before she said this. I was really excited to try the Hawaiian, but unfortunately, it lacked kind of everything. He was a little bit hard to taste. The macadamia which makes sense because it is a subtle flavor, but it also said it had hint of chocolate, which I didn't get, and there was a lot of cinnamon powder I think sitting at the bottom of the drink and it was overall not that good and I would give it a five out of 10 and the other drink was the Vietnamese coffee and my friend said they would also give their drink a five out of 10 unfortunately I don't think I would be coming back read more

I ordered the strawberry matcha and the biscoff latte both are very good and I like how you have the option to get less sweetener. I would say it's better to place an order online and pick it up because it's a very small place located in a medical plaza, and it can take awhile sometimes. I came across this place while searching for a latte on Maps, and since it's just a 5 minute drive away, I figured I'd check it out, especially with all the positive reviews. This place is located in a medical plaza with plenty of parking. The first time I visited, I was surprised by how compact the space was. I'd estimate it could fit about 10 people in the front counter area, and even then, it might feel a bit cramped. The aesthetic is simple and clean. Inside, there are three seats along the left wall with a floating table, and two outdoor tables as well. The staff at the counter are friendly and constantly working on drinks, which keeps things moving. On my three separate visits, I've tried the Matcha Crème, The Biscoff, Pesto Grilled Cheese, Blueberry Scone, Guava Cheese Danish, The Hawaiian and Monte Cristo. The Matcha Crème was a bit bland initially; I was expecting it to be sweeter. As someone who loves sweet cream, I couldn't really taste the vanilla flavor. I think the sweetener is at the bottom, because the drink turned sweeter halfway through. I'd suggest mixing it before drinking. I was surprised by The Biscoff. The cold foam was creamy and delicious, and the Biscoff cookie on top was a delicious touch (eaten before picture hehe). The espresso is a bit too strong for my taste and took away from the sweetness I was expecting, but I'd still recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good sweet cream and strong coffee flavor. The sandwiches come with a side of chips or salad, which is nice. The Pesto Grilled Cheese is served on thick bread. While the outside is nicely grilled, the inside wasn't fully melted. I'd suggest using thinner bread or a lower heat setting when grilling so the heat distributes better and melts the cheese properly. You can tell in my photos that the cheese isn't melted, for both sandwiches that I tried. Unfortunately, the blueberry scone and guava cheese danish weren't fresh at all. The scone was stale, and the danish was dry and chewy. I wouldn't suggest them. The Monte Cristo sandwich is made with thick slices of bread and includes dijonnaise, with a hint of jam that's supposed to be there; but I couldn't taste it. To me, it didn't really resemble a traditional Monte Cristo. It definitely needs more jam and significantly less dijonnaise, which was heavy and made the sandwich messy to eat. I also had the same issue I experienced with the PGC: the outside was grilled, but the cheese inside wasn't melted. It would really help if the sandwiches were grilled longer to properly melt the cheese. The description for The Hawaiian sounded great, but the espresso completely overpowered the cream on top. I was expecting a sweet, macadamia cream, but the flavor got lost. The macadamia nuts on top were a nice touch and added some texture, but in my opinion, the drink didn't live up to its description. This spot has a lot of potential; warm atmosphere and really friendly staff. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back. The lattes were too strong for my taste, and the sandwiches weren't properly grilled. Still, it's a nice place to try at least once! read more

They were also beautifully executed and nicely packed in a box. At first, I accidentally placed our order at their other location in Fullerton which was further location from our company. I had to cancel. I re-placed our order with their Chino location right after. All staff I connected with over the phone regarding my order mistake and giving us a full refund was very easy and pleasant! The owner also called me directly to ensure the full refund was processed. I loved this place! I was running some errands in the morning and decided I wanted coffee but I was looking for a cafe because I just don't care for Starbucks and this place popped up. It's a cute little shop and the workers were very nice! I think they only accept cash tips which I wish I knew before hand because they were super nice and everything was good! The biscoff wasn't too sweet which was nice and I'm a sucker for an almond croissant and this was probably the best one I've ever had, it had some filling on the inside that was so delicious! And it was just enough filling where it didn't overpower the croissant how most places do which was super nice! 10/10 I'd recommend and I am def gonna be coming here instead for my morning coffees I'm so glad a nice coffee shop finally opened up near me! read more

Really small place that was a little difficult to find as it was in a office building complex. Ample parking, but the cafe is super small, like I'm talking shoebox small. I came one time when it was busy and had to step out into the hallway of the business unit because it was just so stuffy waiting for my order. Not a place to study/work for sure. Besides that, the coffee is great! I got the Biscoff latte and it might be the best biscoff-type latte I've ever had. I've also tried the tuna melt with the kale salad, which honestly exceeded my expectations for a coffee place this small. Really, really great food.
