My friend and I visited Cheba Hut yesterday for lunch as we were wrapping up our work trip before heading to the Ontario airport. This location sits at the corner of an apartment complex and there was plenty of parking available when we arrived. The interior definitely matched the vibe I was expecting - a lot of colorful murals, "toasted" imagery, eclectic decor like rubber ducks on every window sill and counter ledge, and plenty of green. The menu had a lot of options and variations with tongue-in-cheek names, but also the common names and descriptions below. Both my friend and I ordered "pinners," which are 8" sandwiches. I got the Kali Mist (Spicy Club) on garlic herb bread and my friend got The Kind (Turkey, Bacon, Shrooms) but without the shrooms on white bread. After ordering at the counter, we took a seat at one of the tables to dine-in. The music was a little loud for my preference, which makes me sound like I'm a million years old but oh well. Our orders were brought over by an employee once they were ready and I was immediately impressed by the amount of toppings and how good everything looked and smelled. My sandwich was super tasty and I especially loved the chipotle mayo and garlic herb bread! Holy crap it so expensive! Relax people sandwich's aren't cheap. Try buying your own fresh ingredients for what you're having here. Now that's that said. It is pricey but worth it. The freshness of my sandwich (La Canna) and my wife's (KGB) was amazing. I was stupid and got white bread and she got garlic herb. My bread was amazing for what it's worth but hers was awesome! I'm pretty sure they make their own bread. Everything was tasty and I'd order it again later today but I would probably say no olives. Nothing wrong with them. I ate them out of my sandwich but they were very fresh and strong so they took over the flavor of my sandwich. We tried some of their March Drink Menu and the bartender was great at his craft. We had seconds! Overall I recommend this sandwich shop. It does have an odd location inside an apartment complex but I would go broke if I lived here because I would be here daily. Anyway, KOOLAID! they had me at KOOLAID. Not too sweet like we used to make it but just right. Salt and Vinegar Miss Anne's Chips, and I believe I got the Kali Mist, Excellent. Right portion to bread and sauce, has real flavor... for the spice level, I'd add more jalapeno but I also opted out of the chipotle mayo and pepper jack cheese so that may be why. & did I mention there is a full bar, how can you beat that! The Meatball Bomb was absolutely delicious! We added the Jamaican hot sauce, and it was a total game changer!! the perfect kick that took an already amazing sandwich to the next level. Had a solid gym sesh with the lads and we were craving something good but not heavy, so we came out to good ol' Cheba Hut. When I first came across this spot I thought it was only in San Diego, but to my surprise there's one close to home now. One of our buddies had never tried it so we pulled up and he confirmed it was the best sandwich compared to other sandwich chains. This is such a unique sandwich shop. We have some friends who tried Cheba Hut and we're very curious to check it out a few days ago. Inside is spacious but seating is pretty limited. There is outside seating as well. They also have a bar which was really cool and they do different Happy hours during the week. I ended up getting a small size of their loaded nachos with ranch Doritos. They look a little meh at first glance, but whatever hot sauce they put on it upped the flavor so much. And even though it was spicy and I cannot handle spicy I loved the nachos! For my sandwich, I got The Kind in a small size and it was delicious. I love the theme and decor throughout the restaurant. What well-crafted and perfectly delicious subs. I don't know when I've had such a good impression of a sub joint right off the bump. Even the likes of Jersey Mike's took me a few times to appreciate. My KGB sub had a good amount of roast beef, a good amount of horseradish and ranch on it, and just the right blend of green stuff on it. I don't know if I've ever had a sub that I didn't need to adjust even a little--more onions, less pickles, more sauce, &c... This was just a well-conceived sandwich as soon as it was put on the menu. The service was great. My cashier was helpful and cheery. But I have to make a huge callout for the ambience here. Plenty of tables, but more importantly it had so many interior booths. I love it when a food joint puts mostly booths to fill out the center portion of the restaurant. I always say you can tell a restaurant's class by the ratio of booths to tables to counter space. I see a lot of booths, I'm instantly more at ease. Which is good, because these subs are best tasted under relaxing conditions. Went yesterday w a couple of friends have heard about for year in San Diego so I decided to give it a try. Super good!!! I got the 5-0 blunt which was 2 servings tbh added olives and greens mix to be extra lol but the quality of the meat was great and the bread was much better then plain white. Stopped in to get lunch for my boss and I. I had called a head and was greeted with the most pleasant staff there. Kind of new-ish sandwich spot that is open in or adjacent to a luxury apartment community. This place is located near my work so when I found the spot, I was like cool! Toasted subs. It wasn't until I went there to order that I realized it was 'toasted' subs with an obvious influence from cannabis culture, lol. The space is pretty large and it's super clean. On one side you can order sandwiches and snacks while there is also a bar on the other side where you can have drinks and chill. I personally only went for the sandwich so far. The guys over there that took my order and helped me were super chill and friendly. There's a pretty solid selection of different types of sandwiches and there are some snacks there that were definitely created or concocted when someone had the munchies. I ended up getting the French dip sandwich. It came neatly packaged and I have to say it was really good especially with the au jus dip it comes with. I ordered a Nugget Pacific blue ($7.69), which is their small tuna melt sandwich with lettuce, sliced tomatoes, sliced onions, pickle spear, and sliced cheddar. The bread was nicely toasted and did not get soggy quickly. I did order Midwest sandwich which is turkey breast, ham, bacon, mayonnaise, onions, pickles, lettuce, and provolone. It was not wrapped securely so it unwrapped and started leaking through the paper bag in my car, my mom did say it was tasty though. They do have 3 flavors of red, purple, and blue lemonade kool-aid alongside their soda station. They have a rewards app. The staff was nice and the restroom is clean. read more

I came here for a double-date with my best friend and our boyfriends, and the sandwiches were amazing! The bread was perfectly crispy! They were fully packed with protein and vegetables. The only comment I will add is that they all came with an excessive amount of parmesan cheese, which was not written on the menu (or maybe we just missed it?) It made sense for the meatball sub that my bestie had, but not for my BLT, my boyfriend's spicy club, and my bestie's bf's teriyaki chicken. It wasn't enough to affect my review, but just a notice for people who don't really like parmesan (since I didn't know in advance, I wasn't able to ask them not to include it in mine) Service was good!
