I settled on a Yemeni-style hot chai tea and a divine pistachio pastry, with so many flaky layers, sweet honey and a delicate pistachio flavor. I also chose a high top by the window, to enjoy them both. It's such a great environment in here-busy and bubbly but not loud. I can't wait to soak that up-with a different tea and sweet treat. The trip back will be easy. Qamaria is at the corner of 56th Street and Fowler in Temple Terrace, in a brick strip mall... with a huge parking lot, leafy shade trees at one end and lots of other middle eastern delights to try out, in that same plaza. The space was smaller than I expected and really busy during weekday lunch. Lots of people studying inside, and almost everyone seemed to have a matcha latte. I ordered the matcha ube latte and omg, it was one of the best matchas I've had. The ube flavor paired so well with the matcha without overpowering it. It was perfectly sweetened while still keeping that strong matcha flavor. Super creamy, smooth, and not watered down at all. Definitely lived up to the hype and I'd absolutely come back.
