Ok listen, I pulled over to take a bite of the Honey-Sriracha Breaded Chicken thigh! Oh my gawd...De-lic-cious... ok biting into the sandwich which hosted:honey- Sriracha Breaded Chicken thigh, lettuce & mayo all nestled inside a hard roll with meunster cheese(the sandwich didn't need any cheese) . First, you will taste the Chicken thigh: moist, juicy, tender, seasoned & crunchy, WOW, then the honey‐Sriracha which pairs well with the mayo, that combo is very tasty, with a little heat showing up with the sweetness of the honey and smoothness of the mayo: then the crunch of shredded lettuce, along with the crunch of the Chicken; hits just right! The soft, hard roll played a major part in enveloping the sandwich in place without breakage or leakage!!! Everything in this sandwich came together in a wonder symphony which were music to my taste buds. A plus delight! Chef Clinton

Roast Pork Sub w/ no tomato. Delish!

Came to the area to go camping for the weekend and the first night it was just too hot to cook. Looked up some local places to grab something quick to eat and this place looked perfect because the reviews showed they had sandwiches, salads and prepared meals to grab and go. The store isn't huge but there is an impressive variety of items sold there. We were disappointed to find out when we arrived a little after 6pm on a Friday that their deli area closed at 4pm. This seems unusual considering it seems like people might want to pick up a sandwich for dinner and if you work until 5pm this place won't be an option. Instead my fiancé and I picked up a Cajun chicken salad to split. At $11 this was a pretty good value. We tried their ranch dressing and creamy garlic. Both were delicious. I wish that they offered a dressing that would have went with the salad a little better though like a chipotle ranch or avocado ranch. We also were going to pick up a case of water but it ended up being over $9 so needless to say we put it back. The following day we went back so we could try the Roast Pork sub. I thought it was delicious but my fiancé thought it was just ok. He liked the flavor of pork but said he would far prefer it on a dinner plate instead of in a sandwich. I also picked up a variety of pasta salads and cucumber salads that were all delicious. The girl waiting on me also was kind enough to try to limit the amount of tomatoes she put in my container as I don't like them. Overall the food here we found to be very tasty but you will pay a premium for most of it. For basics just to somewhere else to purchase it because they will price gouge you ($9 for water, $14 for a rotisserie chicken almost $6 for a small pack of shredded cheese, etc).

    Nice selection of salads

THE BEST BAGELS I've ever had in the state of Connecticut! I'm originally from Long Island New…read moreYork. Moved up here fall 2012. Had such a hard time finding remotely decent bagels, so every time myself or my family would go down to LI we'd bring back anywhere from 1-3 dozen at a time and free some. This is for myself, my parents, my sister brother-in-law in thier 3 kiddos. So we hadn't been down much since the pandemic and he settled for Bruggers when I used to have to go to Shelton but haven't been to Shelton for over a year. So no bagels since it's not worth it eating them from anywhere else. WELL... OMG!!! This place is phenomenal! They literally taste like Long Island, New York bagels phenomenal. You can actually pre- order on their website.. They also deliver. I don't know if it's them themselves or what not exit 66 off i-95. My parents live out that way so they go and get them. My absolute favorite or the cheddar jalapeno bagels & sesame. They also are a bakery and have baked goods they put on their website and my mom said they had that. Plus they sell homemade cream cheeses. Obviously you can get egg sandwiches and what not as well she said. So absolutely in heaven will be getting them at least 2x's a month. $24 for a baker's dozen which is obviously 13. My mother loved the pumpernickel, my sister and the kids loved everything, bagels. And what's good with the these jalapeno cheddar unlike the other place I got them. It's not a slice of cheddar cheese. It's like shredded, melted and not big round jalapenos but chopped up so good! Good! I found my bagel Place up here finally and you will too if you value good bagels. Only thing not a big deal they are not open on Mon. & Tues. ENJOY!!

Cute space, no indoor seating, maybe a couple tables outside though. They take Apple Pay woo! And have so many other sweet treats that are clearly homemade- the maple coffee cake was awesome. I would go back for the coffee cake alone. They serve ashlawn farm coffee! Which is a slay I love that place

Cloud Nine Catering catered my wedding at the Ellie Mitchell Pavilion at Rocky Neck State Park, and…read moreI could not be happier with the entire experience. First off, the food. The food was amazing. I loved it. Our parents loved it. Literally everyone I talked to love it. Everything was fresh, perfectly prepared, and delicious. One of the highlights of the first day of married life was devouring the leftovers (yes, they help you package those to take them home - you paid for them, after all!). I honestly can't pick one aspect of our menu that trumped the others, it was all so delightful. The appetizers were great, the main course (we did a buffet) was amazing, and the desserts (we had an assortment) were splendid. Second, the staff. Everyone that worked on our reception was great. Erin's clear communication made planning everything a breeze, and Desiree's oversight ensured that everything went smoothly during the event. Cloud Nine will transport a set amount of materials to the venue for you (we had them transport our table numbers and runners). The Ellie Mitchell Pavilion has a super strict timeline, so this was a huge help. Being that its a historic building, the Pavilion also has really strict rules about where, how, and when the food can be prepared. Cloud Nine takes all of that in stride every time they cater an event there, and made sure everything was executed in compliance with the policies. Knowing I was in such good hands took a huge amount of stress off of me during that day! Third, the staff again. This was huge. During the reception, Cloud Nine puts someone in charge of making sure the bride and groom has all the food and drink they need during photos, etc before the entrance. AMAZING. This meant that we actually got to enjoy the delicious appetizers, rather than having to miss out. It also meant that we got to enjoy a beverage and take a minute to relax! Fourth, the pricing. Catering a large event is never very economical, regardless of who caters it. I think that Cloud Nine offers an amazing service at a very reasonable price. In addition, Erin was incredibly accommodating in creating a menu that not only covered all of the food and drink we wanted, but also fit within our budget. Honestly, I have nothing but glowing reviews of Cloud Nine catering. I wish that we didn't live in CA and could stop by their cafe for a bite to eat! Our experience with them was amazing, and I highly recommend them.
