We stopped by Coffee's Country Market for some coffee on a drive through the area a few weeks ago. We were just looking for a cup of coffee and Yelp steered us here, but it was so much more than I was expecting. Yes, they had coffee. But it's also a full service market. The prepared foods in the refrigerated section looked amazing (my friend picked up a small container of chicken salad she couldn't resist because it looked so good), but it was really a well-stocked market. I could imagine doing some real shopping here if I was staying in the area (but we were on our way over to New Haven)! Great customer service and so well stocked. First, you will taste the Chicken thigh: moist, juicy, tender, seasoned & crunchy, WOW, then the honey‐Sriracha which pairs well with the mayo, that combo is very tasty, with a little heat showing up with the sweetness of the honey and smoothness of the mayo: then the crunch of shredded lettuce, along with the crunch of the Chicken; hits just right! This family business has been here forever. The level of care and quality is really outstanding. They work hard to thoughtfully edit, rejuvenate, and modernize every part of their business constantly. I love that I can quickly grab a pre-made, delicious salad, Caprese sandwich, and decadent sweet and be out the door in a jiffy. Over the years, their quality and overall atmosphere does ebb and flow a bit with the different phases of their staff. There have been times when their staff is incredibly well-trained, competent and friendly...and other times when things get slow, chaotic, and/or just not as well-managed. BUT, I can sympathize with the challenges of maintaining this kind of business, at this level, along with staff turnover. I love this place, and wish them lots of success. Came to the area to go camping for the weekend and the first night it was just too hot to cook. Looked up some local places to grab something quick to eat and this place looked perfect because the reviews showed they had sandwiches, salads and prepared meals to grab and go. The store isn't huge but there is an impressive variety of items sold there. We were disappointed to find out when we arrived a little after 6pm on a Friday that their deli area closed at 4pm. This seems unusual considering it seems like people might want to pick up a sandwich for dinner and if you work until 5pm this place won't be an option. Instead my fiancé and I picked up a Cajun chicken salad to split. At $11 this was a pretty good value. We tried their ranch dressing and creamy garlic. Both were delicious. I wish that they offered a dressing that would have went with the salad a little better though like a chipotle ranch or avocado ranch. We also were going to pick up a case of water but it ended up being over $9 so needless to say we put it back. The following day we went back so we could try the Roast Pork sub. I thought it was delicious but my fiancé thought it was just ok. He liked the flavor of pork but said he would far prefer it on a dinner plate instead of in a sandwich. I also picked up a variety of pasta salads and cucumber salads that were all delicious. The girl waiting on me also was kind enough to try to limit the amount of tomatoes she put in my container as I don't like them. Overall the food here we found to be very tasty but you will pay a premium for most of it. For basics just to somewhere else to purchase it because they will price gouge you ($9 for water, $14 for a rotisserie chicken almost $6 for a small pack of shredded cheese, etc). read more

Our first visit here, it seems to be a very popular place. We ordered turkey sandwiches and even though they were tasty, they are not generous with the meat portions at all (especially for the price). They have a large selection of deli salads to choose from - we had the tuna pasta salad, very good! We'd like to come back for coffee and dessert, the goodies case looked very tempting! I overheard people talking about how amazing the key lime pie and brownies are. I would recommend eating here, but be prepared to wait. read more

Stopped here for a quick bite to eat after visiting the Florence Griswald Art Museum in the morning. A full array of sandwiches and salads awaited us. But we chose three small salads: broccoli slaw, curry chicken salad and broccoli salad with bacon. Each was good and different. You order at the deli counter and pay up front. Very easy and convenient. We sat in the sun at an outdoor picnic table. Really comfortable and a great place to eat our three salads. This was a wonderful place to stop. I came in for a coffee and some shopping and what I saw on my way out was nothing short of unprofessional and embarrassing for the business owner Ken. He had a young employee sat outside at the picnic table seemingly trying to communicate concerns about the treatment at this establishment which was met with nothing but anger and a narcissistic personality out in the open for customers to see and hear. He kept cutting the employee off when he would try to say anything and looked very angry. He eventually even started yelling at the kid. On top of the poor treatment of employees that I witnessed the place was dirty and seems to have black mold all around the deli. I was then met at the counter with nothing but silence during my purchase. The employees seem miserable to be there like all they stay for is a paycheck and not for the family environment you would expect (but do not receive) from this small family owned business. I recommend staying away as I know I will from now on as I cannot support this environment. read more

This place is just incredible. My favorites are the breakfast sandwiches, pre made meals (if I don't have time to cook), and lunch sandwiches. Cookies are awesome. The service is excellent. People are kind. The coffee is always great. Last year I told one of the employees/owners that I just had a baby (somehow this came up in conversation) and she gave me a bouquet of flowers from the shop for free. This place is doing it right. The coffee station is all self serve which during Covid is quite the show of lack of seriousness. The sandwich section cook had her mask u see her nose while making my sandwich. Owner had mask under his nose. I said something to him and he's having cool re-make my sandwich but at this point I'm walking away... before I get spit in my Sammy etc, grocery section peopke appear to be following protocols. They have clear signage to wear masks. They offer curbside pickup and delivery, but mixed messages don't make me feel they are serious So... Just avoid m. Honestly I'm off put so so so much by the sandwich and coffee situation why risk it with them at all for groceries . If I could give the service 0 stars I would. I ordered a wrap from here, got it home and realized it was not what I ordered. The chicken was drenched in mayo and I was heavily unsatisfied. I called to see if I could have the sandwich remade. Over the phone I was told no problem. I go back, the girl takes my new order, I throw away the original sandwich and go back to the counter for her to tell me that if I want it remade I would be charged again. After doing some cemetery exploring on a hot day (yes I explore old cemeteries), I googled and decided to pick up something to take home. I bought their Hungarian Goulash "ready made" meal and it was delicious. It's just elbow macaroni with sauce, ground beef and spices. I guess the paprika makes it "Hungarian"? But hey, it was great. It was *very* expensive but I am getting three meals out of it after putting two portions in the freezer. I bought some potato salad because it was also made there and it is great the next day, also expensive but a huge portion, part of which is still waiting in the fridge. They give you a LOT. I did not buy anything from the deli but the sandwiches looked interesting. They seem to be a combination deli and small grocery store with some limited grocery type items and a cold section with some speciality type items. I didn't really look around very much. If I'm in the area again I'd like to try another ready made meal. They have a system of numbers on each one that lets you know which day it was made. I like that idea. Love it! It's a little pricey but quality and fresh food. There are prepared meals that you can pick-up and just reheat. The place is always busy on the weekends so plan accordingly. There are the usual market items - milk, bread, etc. And, there are baked goods from local bakeries. There is also a deli case of prepared foods you can order from. My last visit, I saw curry chicken salad, rollatinis, pasta salad, and etc. It's a great place if you're picking up goodies for a new mom, sick fam/friends or to bring to a party. The chipotle chocolate covered almonds are to die for. Don't say you've been warned. You'll be addicted. read more
