We always hit a Cuban spot for a bite during our visits to Miami and this pick? Perfect. We enjoyed the service throughly, they were kind and friendly. The place is well kept, cozy and has lots of character. Idr which beverages we got but I remember them being made quickly and finished just as fast bc delicious. We always share food and we could not stop passing plates back and forth. We were cautioned that the French toast is sometimes vv sweet to some but we thought it was just right. We left not a crumb, enjoyed every single bite. We would absolutely return!

This neighborhood gem is worth a stop. All the items I am used to seeing at my local favorite Cuban bakery, but more! My husband said the ham and cheese empanada was outstanding. My son ordered a breakfast croissant with bacon which he enjoyed. I ordered the medianiche sandwich which was the pork was moist and bread was tasty. Son and husband both ordered the a cafe con leche which was delicious. Best of all is the affordability. I would come here every morning if I lived here! They also have outdoor seating, which is dog friendly. So come bring your pooch!

After traveling in Europe for months I was craving Latin food. I stumbled upon Colada, I have to say I was excited to find a local Cuban restaurant. The breakfast menu looked delicious. The prices are reasonable and dishes come with two sides.

While visiting Ft Laud I wanted some authentic food from someone's kitchen! turned to my trusted Yelp and came across this place. The decor is so cute and IG ready moment! I ordered the White Mocha with guava. So delicious! My only wish was that the guava taste was more prominent. The Churrasco bowl, steak, egg, potatoes, Avocado, onions and peppers. I also purchased a few pastries to go, they were delicious also. This place is a real gem and I can't wait to go back there!

Colada cafe's pastries are delicious, guava and coconut pastries never miss. I tried the white chocolate mocha guava iced coffee at this visit but really couldn't taste any guava at all so wouldn't purchase again. Service was quick and efficient. Free parking in the garage across the street so very convenient.

This place unfortunately fell flat for me. We went here as a last spot before we headed to the airport and ordered the following: + Cafe con leche + croquetas + pan con bistec + cuban sandwich I currently am not drinking caffeinated drinks, and unfortunately they didn't have this as an option. Croquetas when bit into were virtually hollow. The bistec for the pan con bistec was too chewy. The winning moment for our experience here was the cuban sandwich.

I have been here a few times while passing by the Fort Lauderdale Downtown area and Colada does not disappoint. It follows the guidelines of Cuban Cafes to the letter - delicious, affordable, and quick. The restaurant also does a great job of catering to modern expectations of customers with an updated ambiance and service experience without sacrificing tradition. As a Cuban native, I'm pretty satisfied with Colada's updated experience that honors the traditional cuisine. I'll definitely keep coming back.

Stop # 2 on my cuban coffee journey in south Florida. Made a quick stop for a colada and beef empanada... They have booze coffees and lemonades if you get a chance and aren't driving like I was. Very cute but modern take on cuban cafe. Nice staff, quick service, free parking in garage near by

Sandwich was okay - definitely not as good as I hoped - but it had potential so maybe just an off day. More of a coffee shop cafe / desserts are good tops

me, Jenn Lee property manager at Turtle Nest Bungalow review: Colada Cuban Café is a quick under-5-minute drive from our short-term rental and a classic South Florida stop you really shouldn't skip. When you're here, Cuban coffee is a must, and Colada delivers on that front along with a wide variety of specialty Cuban and Latin favorites. I tried the bacon & egg breakfast sandwich -- it was a bit overpriced, but the Cuban bread was the real standout and absolutely delicious. In hindsight, I should've leaned more into their bakery items, which is really where this place shines: croquetas, empanadas, tequeños (Latin-style cheese sticks), and fritas are all crowd favorites and perfect for a quick bite or sharing. If you're visiting Fort Lauderdale and want an authentic Cuban coffee experience with classic comfort foods, Colada Cuban Café is worth the stop.

Super good food! Love coming here from time to time. Great atmosphere, always see the same people with the same dogs. You can tell they've built their clientele to become regulars. Definitely will always be a go to spot for me

Went to this adorable Cuban coffee spot for a bite and ended up loving it. I had a croissant that was fresh and flaky, and the cortadito was so good I had to order a second one. The place is cozy with a lot of charm--perfect for a casual meal or coffee break. Great food, great vibe. I'll definitely be back.

Hard rice, with black beans, and the best sweet plantains ever.

As out-of-towners, we were searching for a pressed steak sandwich, plantains, and black beans and rice, this place had it all. The steak sandwich was very yummy. The sweet plantains were the best we've ever had, they were warm and soft, but also caramelized at the same time. Delicious. The black beans and rice were far less than desirable as the rice came out hard and crunchy with two different orders. The cortadito was a heavenly surprise! I ordered a caramel cortadito and instantly upon the first sip wished that I had chosen a larger size. Had guava and cream cheese pastries and they were just okay. Besides the hard rice, this review lost a star due to the staff attitude. We had two separate orders of steak sandwiches, one with onions and one without. The order that came out first had no onions, though the order with onions was placed first. When we questioned whose it was, the staff member snapped at us and told us it was the order for the second group and the next one came out, also without onions. When we requested onions the staff member acted as if we were inconveniencing her, and it appears we were because she came out with food in her hand and in her mouth. Besides the staff interaction and the hard rice we would still come back to this place based on the cortadito and plantains alone. The location also seemed to be pretty tidy.

We grabbed three sandwiches to go, one of which was a burger. The super messy Malone (rated #1 by entire family), the Smoked Texas, and the Vodka Chicken Cutlet hoagie. 50 bucks before tip and we are told we got some hits. Next time we want Cheesesteak and the Smoked Brisket sandwich. That's right, next time. The burger was hands down loved by family and the bbq sauce felt original versus bottled. The pork was moist and we would only request a medium burger if possible. We forgot as the lines were moving and many have questions for register attendant. The Smoked Texas fell a little flat after the burger. The meat was too diced for pastrami and the creamy aioli was a tad too much in quantity. Wife did not think the sesame seeded bread was right fit. Had we ordered this alone it might have been a hit but fell with its competitors. Perhaps a high end Rachel as a worthy replacement ?? Finally came the cutlet hoagie stuffed with breaded chicken, sheets of cheese, and the soft light and super creamy Vodka sauce. This could also be a late night drink. Yum ....

The "almost" part was simply the bread was not toasted quite enough to add texture to each soft, creamy bite. My vodka chicken was FANTASTICALLY FIRE! That Vodka sauce, crispy Cutler AND bread were so good but that pasto drizzle sauce took it beyond and chicken parm ever has! The only problem I have (not all) that the breadcrumbs on almost all cutlets are loaded with salt. By the time you add the salt from the sauce, bread, etc., all saucy cutlet sandwiches bite you back on that 1st bite. This one did that also. I feel someone should invent low sodium breadcrumbs JUST FOR chicken cutlet sandwiches. Nevertheless, that pesto sauce seduced my jaws to muscle through and enjoy ever salty bite! Service was a 3 star bc they clearly want you to order from your table. There is a QR bribing code that if you order from your table, you get a free drink and cookie with your meal. Perfect... for antisocials and non-Gen Zers! I was not told this by the ho-hum cashier where I ordered from. I just believe that all cashiers should have a 15 second smile minimum. Although there was a person, cleaning and clearing the tables periodically, our booth was not wiped down. A great surprise was the 2 free cookies I assume they gave for mentioning it was our 1st time there. Parking, in and outdoor seating, and the self serve fountain drinks made it easy to sit and start. Overall, we would definitely be back...especially to try there different daily specials! Enjoy, and God bless!!
