Cuban Sandwich / Cubano
Maria R.

Pros: First, service was very quick and the cashier was very nice. The space was clean and we appreciated the umbrellas outside for shade. Cons: To be honest, we should've known better once we saw the neighborhood we were in that this wasn't going to be a true Cuban sandwich but we decided to give it a try anyways. We've never had such a dry sandwich before; the Cuban bread was soft, but the roast pork was extremely dry to the point we had to go in to buy a second drink to help wash down that & super dry yuca ( didn't taste like yuca) fries that don't come with any sauce. Ketchup mayo and mustard packets were available. We expected better quality for the price we paid.

We always hit a Cuban spot for a bite during our visits to Miami and this pick? Perfect. We enjoyed the service throughly, they were kind and friendly. The place is well kept, cozy and has lots of character. Idr which beverages we got but I remember them being made quickly and finished just as fast bc delicious. We always share food and we could not stop passing plates back and forth. We were cautioned that the French toast is sometimes vv sweet to some but we thought it was just right. We left not a crumb, enjoyed every single bite. We would absolutely return!

This neighborhood gem is worth a stop. All the items I am used to seeing at my local favorite Cuban bakery, but more! My husband said the ham and cheese empanada was outstanding. My son ordered a breakfast croissant with bacon which he enjoyed. I ordered the medianiche sandwich which was the pork was moist and bread was tasty. Son and husband both ordered the a cafe con leche which was delicious. Best of all is the affordability. I would come here every morning if I lived here! They also have outdoor seating, which is dog friendly. So come bring your pooch!

Colada cafe's pastries are delicious, guava and coconut pastries never miss. I tried the white chocolate mocha guava iced coffee at this visit but really couldn't taste any guava at all so wouldn't purchase again. Service was quick and efficient. Free parking in the garage across the street so very convenient.

While visiting Ft Laud I wanted some authentic food from someone's kitchen! turned to my trusted Yelp and came across this place. The decor is so cute and IG ready moment! I ordered the White Mocha with guava. So delicious! My only wish was that the guava taste was more prominent. The Churrasco bowl, steak, egg, potatoes, Avocado, onions and peppers. I also purchased a few pastries to go, they were delicious also. This place is a real gem and I can't wait to go back there!

Sandwich was okay - definitely not as good as I hoped - but it had potential so maybe just an off day. More of a coffee shop cafe / desserts are good tops

This place unfortunately fell flat for me. We went here as a last spot before we headed to the airport and ordered the following: + Cafe con leche + croquetas + pan con bistec + cuban sandwich I currently am not drinking caffeinated drinks, and unfortunately they didn't have this as an option. Croquetas when bit into were virtually hollow. The bistec for the pan con bistec was too chewy. The winning moment for our experience here was the cuban sandwich.

I have been here a few times while passing by the Fort Lauderdale Downtown area and Colada does not disappoint. It follows the guidelines of Cuban Cafes to the letter - delicious, affordable, and quick. The restaurant also does a great job of catering to modern expectations of customers with an updated ambiance and service experience without sacrificing tradition. As a Cuban native, I'm pretty satisfied with Colada's updated experience that honors the traditional cuisine. I'll definitely keep coming back.

Stop # 2 on my cuban coffee journey in south Florida. Made a quick stop for a colada and beef empanada... They have booze coffees and lemonades if you get a chance and aren't driving like I was. Very cute but modern take on cuban cafe. Nice staff, quick service, free parking in garage near by

me, Jenn Lee property manager at Turtle Nest Bungalow review: Colada Cuban Café is a quick under-5-minute drive from our short-term rental and a classic South Florida stop you really shouldn't skip. When you're here, Cuban coffee is a must, and Colada delivers on that front along with a wide variety of specialty Cuban and Latin favorites. I tried the bacon & egg breakfast sandwich -- it was a bit overpriced, but the Cuban bread was the real standout and absolutely delicious. In hindsight, I should've leaned more into their bakery items, which is really where this place shines: croquetas, empanadas, tequeños (Latin-style cheese sticks), and fritas are all crowd favorites and perfect for a quick bite or sharing. If you're visiting Fort Lauderdale and want an authentic Cuban coffee experience with classic comfort foods, Colada Cuban Café is worth the stop.

Super good food! Love coming here from time to time. Great atmosphere, always see the same people with the same dogs. You can tell they've built their clientele to become regulars. Definitely will always be a go to spot for me

Went to this adorable Cuban coffee spot for a bite and ended up loving it. I had a croissant that was fresh and flaky, and the cortadito was so good I had to order a second one. The place is cozy with a lot of charm--perfect for a casual meal or coffee break. Great food, great vibe. I'll definitely be back.

Scrambled eggs with ham and breakfast potatoes

I have ordered from this restaurant before, but this time wasn't a good experience as we ordered breakfast and the food was kinda of a mess. The croissant breakfast sandwich was burned, the scramble was runny, and the protein and breakfast potatoes had a odd taste.

Got breakfast here and yum!! The breakfast bowl was so delicious. The steak and herb aioli carried the show. Nice big chunks of avocado too.

I work nearby, so I just strolled in during my lunch break for a little midday pick-me-up. The staff is pleasant and helpful. My only suggestion is to perhaps have an allergens list for the individual baked goods. I tried to ask the staff about whether some of the treats contained nuts (in particular, the s'mores bar, and the chocolate chip cookie) as I have a peanut allergy (tree nuts are okay). There was a bit of a language barrier and the staff seemed unsure, and tried to err on the side of caution (which I appreciate). However, knowing that a s'mores bar or a chocolate chip cookie is unlikely to contain actual peanuts, I was a little frustrated because it would have been okay for me personally if it was simply that the baked goods were "processed in a factory that manufactures peanut products". Those trace amounts normally don't affect me. I feel like this was likely the case, but again, I'm glad that they just proceeded with an abundance of caution. I settled for a cheese danish even though I was really after a chocolate craving. Good on the staff for being cautious, disappointing for me that I couldn't cater to my chocolate craving. Oh well. I also ordered a Get Green smoothie, which was refreshing and delicious. The coconut water makes it super hydrating. Whether you're staying at the Del Mar hotel or just work nearby and want a little treat, this spot is a great place to stop in.

Opened since the 1970's and French inspired. Cute and stylish place to go. Either sit down service or take out. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Service was quick. The latte and croissant was to die for. So many pastries to choose from that it's difficult to pick. I love the neon sign on the wall that says "Meet me by the grinds." There even was a champagne vending machine to buy small bottles. Wine bar located in the back. Attached is a beautiful floral store to buy flowers and other items. What a cozy and unique place to go. I will definitely be back next time I am in that neighborhood.

One side is the floral shop and the other side is the coffee bar. The entrance to the coffee bar where you place your order is way too small for the amount of traffic flow they have coming in and out. I felt like I was in the way no matter where I went. The employee taking our order was not the nicest and definitely was overwhelmed. This isn't a regular coffee shop where you can place your order to go and still drink your coffee or hang around. We were told If we were not eating or drinking at the coffee bar you will not be able to sit down. Ordered two iced lattes and two empanadas. Coffee was okay but the empanadas were really good!

The cafe is only two months old in the Cypress Creek Station shooping plaza, but heard the chatter on social media and had to drive a slight distance to also be part of the experience. A temporary simplistic Drip Coffee sign is affixed to the exterior of the business. Upon entering, the buzz of this cafe was accurate. The establishment spewed an ultra industrial modern intimate vibe with gray polished stone flooring with an open ceiling exposing the metal rafters and a/c tubing, accented by dark green ferns on the walls and tables. The laughter from five girls at a back table echoed throughout the cafe, which was a good start. The barista was chatty and all smiles while she took my order quickly with no hiccups. The Guatemalan dark roast espresso beans are sourced from PumpHouse Coffee in WPB. It was presented in a mini cup with the Drip Coffee logo imprint - this is such a simple inexpensive marketing tool that most cafes do not take advantage of. This is another cafe with a cashless tranaction process. Understandably, tipping is digital, but at the least there should be a tip jar as an option for cash. Found sanctuary at a table with a semi comfortable low stool. The Guatemalan coffee was strong and cut it with a shot of heavy cream. Usually I consume medium roast coffee, although this mimicked a few strong Austrian blends and was sublime and appreciated. The gender neutral bathroom screamed "WoW Impressive"! Instantly I pondered, the owners took their artistic vision to another level. Spotless, spotless, spotless, more greenery with thin wooden slats covering the ceiling and the low lit led hollow rough rock mirror hovered above the gray square deep sink. Washing my hands were more of a delight than a necessity. "Clean Bathroom = Clean Kitchen". No doubt that I will return to this eatery. Great coffee and a wonderful experience.
