My husband and I choose coldstone most often because since having gastric sleeve, ice cream and froyo tend to make us sick, but not cold stone. Every time we have been in, the employees are friendly, move quickly, and make it right! There generally is a line, but the wait isnt long because they crank it out. My favorite is half sweet cream and half cake batter with twix mixed in. Cake batter ice cream has a sweet cream base but is a bit much alone, so I mix to dilute and it is perfect!! The only thing I would change is the taste of their cookie dough. I've never been a fan and my favorite ice cream ever is basking Robbins chocolate chip cookie dough. When Coldstone Creamery first arrived onto the scene in Bakersfield, I was not a fan. I thought that their ice cream tasted decent, but was overpriced. Never returned to any Coldstone location until about two months ago. Glad I did because now I am a fan. What happened? Did my taste buds change? Does their ice cream taste better now than before? Did their prices decrease? Honestly, I do not know why I'm a fan now. Founder's Favorite is my ultimate favorite flavor here so far! I've tried creating my own flavor combinations here, but Coldstone's signature creations have been better than mine. Service has been very good and helpful since my return here. Somehow I've amassed several gift cards totaling close to $75. I'm not a massive fan of Cold Stone, but I've recently dipped my toes into the Ice Cream Cupcake pond and will never look back. My apologies to all other cupcakes in the world, but Cold Stone Cupcakes - you have spoiled me. Picture this. A behemoth sized cupcake with a solid chocolate "wrapper" filled with cake. On top of that is a fudge, or caramel or whatever flavor you've chosen. On top of that a heaping scoop of ice cream. And on top of thaaaat, the best whipped cream I've ever had. And on top of thaaaaaat.... a cute decorative treat indicative of whatever flavor you've just purchased. Seriously - these are heavenly. And totally worth every calorie. Oh... I will admit, I have been here in the past and had awful service at this location. That was about 4-5 months ago. I came back here last night and was totally surprised at the stark contrast. The girls working were all busy busting their butts helping customers or working on prepping waffle bowls and cones fresh. I asked Caitie to explain the coupon so I didn't get the wrong thing, and she proceeded by cranking out a quick and yummy Birthday Cake Remix for me. They were having trouble with the POS for cards and none of the girls knew what to do, so they had the manager or owner come in and he made it ASAP and helped them fix it. They really handled the situation calmly even though behind the smiles you could tell they were freaking out. I stuck around inside to eat my ice cream and paid when the system came back up. I will admit that my experience was not perfect, but I think customer service is a lot to do with how you handle the chaos. After all these years I had forgotten how much I love CSC! Although their sizes have changed a bit, the flavor combo was as great as I can remember! I get the cheesecake ice cream with strawberries and graham cracker in a waffle bowl and I love it!!! This particular location had awesome costumer service and the girls working that night were so friendly and patient. The place was a bit messy but they were very busy with people sitting in almost all the areas and a long line with at least 3 different groups of people. This Cold Stone location has been here for years and years. I rarely enjoy this type of treat due to my normal "lifestyle," but we all need to treat yo'self every once in a while. The shopping center itself is always really clean in my opinion. On a Sunday night, it was still quite busy, but there were plenty of staff and no one waited long to be served. There is no dedicated parking lot and you have to cross one of the major "intersections" to get to this strip of the shopping center. Be careful with littles. If you're unfamiliar with Cold Stone, you basically pick a flavor of ice cream (try a few samples!) and add toppings. They will then hand mix them in using ice cream spatulas on a literal cold stone to preserve the integrity of the ice cream. You can also pick from their pre-created list of recipes. Their prices are fairly reasonable for what you're getting. The store itself is pretty clean looking. You can tell they care about keeping things out front nice and orderly. 10/10 will return for a tasty treat! read more

We decided to go yesterday and they had some new people working there and they had attitudes with me because everything I tried ordering they said they were out of so that was really disappointing that they have a menu up and they don't even have the flavors. Anyways.... So I ended up getting a smoothie and my kids got sno cones....sno cones were all syrup ice wasn't shaved down like it was supposed to be and my smoothie was water basically so nasty. My husband had a gift card for Coldstone, so we came here after dinner this week and ordered the Cheesecake Fantasy to share. It was just as I expected it to be...creamy, and cheesecake-y at the same time. :) It's one of the signature creations -- cheesecake ice cream, with graham cracker pie crust, strawberries, and blueberries. :) They mixed all the ingredients together and served it to us in a chocolate/nut covered waffle cup. If you like cheesecake in general, you'll enjoy this ice cream combination. Not worthy of the high cost. The slab they prep the ice cream on was not cold enough so our ice cream had a melted quality to it. I went with a staff fave, the Oreo explosion and I will never get that again. It tasted like a tub of marshmallow. Lastly, I do not like paying extra for a waffle bowl when I have already paid almost $6 for a small treat. They should offer sugar cones for free with purchase as an alternative. They even had 4 sugar free flavors. I tried the sugar free tigers blood and enjoyed it thoroughly. Mom chose the grape and the cherry (neither sugar free). She reports that it was finely shaved ice with a generous portion. She didn't feel there was enough syrup (there was a small white area in the center of hers), but said she'd definitely go back. I told her it wasn't included in the tax, delivery fee, or tip. She was rude and acted like she didn't care. I went the day before and ordered the same thing and the ice cream was 2+ cheaper. Went here after b day dinner. We drove passed Dewars and almost went to Rosemarys. Next time I think we will. The lobby was messy. Tables and chairs here and there and dirty. The weather was nice but the tables outside were unclean too. After finally getting out order while walking to our table I noticed a live roach on the floor. I stepped on it and didn't mention it to my party. Just wanted everyone to have a good time and not think about roaches while eating our ice cream. With our ice cream done I decided to use the rest room and well while using it I saw two more roaches!!!
