So happy to Cold Stone Creamery in town! We dropped in to pick up some delicious made-to-order concoctions the other day and found the gal behind the counter to be so accommodating. We've been there so often that we didn't need to sample anything. Just took our time, changed our minds, and eventually ordered cups of ice cream that literally melted in our mouths! I imagine everyone reading this has been to Cold Stone already. Don't bother ordering a cake. I ordered a custom cake for my sons birthday. Went to pick it up and was told they wouldn't have a cake decorator until 5pm (it was 2pm). I only wanted happy birthday on it so I told the employee I would just take the cake as is. She proceeded to get a premade one from the freezer. So I could have saved the trouble and just walked in and grabbed one quicker than the whole issue of waiting while they tried to track down my non existent cake in the back. Also, when ordering online it says every order is made fresh so no cancellations or refunds. No, it is not made fresh. Not the young girl workings fault but management should do better. Word to the wise, if you are in the least little hurry go somewhere else. We've patronized this chain all across the US and have never had such lousy service. Friday night and five teenagers who were clearly more interested in goofing off than doing their job. I have NEVER had a bad experience at a Cold Stone until tonight. The ice cream is the same as at every other Cold Stone. And it's good. But is it worth a 15 minute wait because the crew can't stop goofing off long enough to take anyone's order? This particular location was not super clean which is unsurprising considering the crew we saw "at work". We probably won't be back when in the area. And asking for a tip on the bill is ludicrous when the service was so shoddy. read more

If you are looking to celebrate with ice cream I would not recommend coming to this cold stone. The attitude & treatment that my family and I received was uncalled for. The woman with Blonde hair in a pony tail & clear framed glasses was so unprofessional and completely annoyed working there. Besides scolding every customer about where the line was. We received commentary from her such as, "Like how much ice cream are you gonna like order... are you like done yet?" She peered over to her coworker with comments like ,"you think they got enough ice cream? Like Jesus christ, Like just look at them. " Apparently you aren't allowed to go to cold stone as a family and each person order an ice cream. Imagine receiving that treatment with your children. Your child nervous to order and she demands a repeat 4x just to add sprinkles. That's how she treated my son. I mean the audacity to think that people can't hear you making rude statements and so angry that you had to make ice cream and cash them out. This one employee absolutely ruined any good experience I have ever had at Cold Stone. I'm lactose intolerant (and order the silk ice cream) and was happy that I could join my family in getting ice cream. But failure to clean the countertop where you add in toppings has got me feeling awful & sick. I cannot stress how scary that would be for someone who would have anaphylactic reactions to certain toppings. What a waist of money. I paid to get treated awful & to be sick. read more

I think Coldstones in general are starting to become desperate for employees. I've been to this location a few times, and of course I loooove Coldstone ice cream, but the few times I've been to this one, it's been understaffed with a slow line. They were also out of many flavors and toppings which was super disappointing. The place is nice, when I came into the establishment there was no immediate obstacles in the way, the ice cream I got was the mint mint chocolate chip in a milkshake, they did have the music turned up a little too loud. Have a lot of experience here since our son worked behind the counter years ago. Decided to stop in recently on a Friday evening and a little disappointed. We were not greeted when entering. There was one other couple in the store and four employees behind the counter, but no one even acknowledged we were there for literally 5-10 minutes. I believe at least one employee was new and a couple were periodically looking at what appeared to be online orders, but trying very hard not to make any eye contact with us at all. Both appeared very unhappy to be there. The new employee didn't appear to understand how to mix in topping and they mostly remained on the outside of the ice cream. Tables were filthy. Went to ColdStones Creamery in Castle Rock tonight, we were inside the store for 5min waiting in line. When it was our turn to order the young man behind the counter asked us if we had a mask. I told him I was unable to wear and mask. He told us we would have to leave, I politely informed him that he and I were protected and not required to in force the mask policy. He said "we are playing it safe and not serving you" So we left and drove down the street to Smart Cow who welcomed us in and gladly served us. Well what can I say. I ordered a milk shake and it was horrible. It was as thick as water. Not to mention the poor service we received. One of the three actually worked. One girl was to busy talking to her boyfriend to help customers. The guy was just lost. I felt bad for the girl that actually had work ethic. I went today at about 3 and the guy working behind the counter (the owner, I believe) was extremely friendly and helpful! I wish I had gotten his name to give him credit here. All I wanted were a couple of Gotta Have It ice creams in cups. It is ALL about the Cake batter, baby!! Tastes just like frozen vanilla cake batter....Super yum! We had our daughter's birthday party here in January 2015. The owner- Dennis, his daughter, and their employee went out of their way to make it a fun experience. The place is extremely clean on top of it. They are all very nice people. For the person below that griped about the store hours, did you bother to ask them about it? They have winter hours too. I find nothing wrong with them and I'm glad to see a Cold Stone here rather than having to drive to Park Meadows to get it. This place gets 5 stars from me. read more

They were great. I wanted a special treat for our T ball team and called the day of our party to see if the ice cream cupcakes were peanut allergy friendly. She said they should be but she couldn't say for sure since they weren't made at their store. So she whipped up a batch for me with only a couple hours notice and the kids thought they were the best. This place is under new management and has gone down in customer service. The guy that runs the place is a real jerk. Every time we come in he pretends to give you a deal and ends up charging you more somewhere else to make up for it. He also can't take two simple orders at once, he says something along the lines of " I'll gladly get that for you if I could remember it. " I'm not really upset that he couldn't remember, more of the way he said it. He's the owner, he should have some kind of customer service skills.
