Managers/owners - check your camera footage from 6/11/26 around 9:30-35pm. The children you have working need to be re-evaluated. A few young boys came through your doors, bumping through the line and straight through the employee door and stole an employees car keys. She stopped what she was doing behind the counter and ran after them. When she came back inside she said "they tried to steal my car" then went right back to the counter, put on gloves and went back to work for a minute then disappeared to the back. From what I saw, the boys who went to the back likely work there as well because they knew exactly where her keys were located. It was incredibly odd. A few minutes later Both of the girls working proceeded to go hangout outside with those same kids and some extra girls then went back into work again. read more

Lincoln is the best worker ever! He is 16 years old and has blonde hair. He is super nice and always helps us. He even answers the phone after hours and tells us about all the new updates. Considering that the city of Citrus Heights has a total lack of good ice cream shops (with the exception of Leatherby's), I've always found the ice cream at "Cold Stone Creamery" to be above average. And this location in the heart of Sunrise Marketplace is tucked in between major retailers such as Barnes & Noble and Bath & Body Work. My most recent visit here was during the afternoon of Saturday 1/21/2023 at around 4:55pm. The inside of this store is tiny and only has about two tables inside if you choose to eat inside. There are more outdoor tables which are ideal for those warm Sacramento summer evening. Since the store has new ownership (as of January 2023) with a full staffed crew, I've noticed happier employees, a cleaner store, and an overall better experience. After narrowing down their extensive menu of options, I finally settled with a cup of their "You Had Me at Chocolate-Dipped Strawberries". This blend featured their creamy and delicious "chocolate-dipped strawberry ice cream complete with real chunks of fresh strawberries and mixed with brownie & red velvet cake. I consider this to be the best of both worlds and when you mix it all together, its heaven in your mouth. Even though I came here on a cold 46°F day in late-January, it was still busy with a few people in front of me while a ton of people arrived after me. However, this place is a well-oiled machine as the employees did a fantastic job with taking care of each and every one of us. From the time I arrived until I was handed my cup of ice cream was less than 5 minutes. As far as the taste itself, I was impressed with the creaminess, texture, and overall flavor. They were also very generous on the portion was a bigger scoop than my previous visits. All in all, the Citrus Heights "Cold Stone Creamery" deserves a generous four-star Yelp rating. I am not real big on the chain eateries but this place exceeded my expectations. They offer generous hours of operation being open Sunday through Thursday from 12-9:30pm and Friday/Saturday from 11:30am-10:00pm. And of course a ton of flavors of ice creams, shakes, sundaes, candy apples, cakes, cookies, and brownies. So if you have a sweet tooth, this will take care of that! read more

I love the Banana Ice Cream with graham crackers and chocolate chips as a chosen topping, as well as their Signature Creations, such as their Chocolate Devotion! On Friday my boyfriend and I came in with a 2 for $6 coupon from the mail for their Like it size that comes with a topping. Covid or not, it's disgusting to see the workers handling food and not wearing gloves. They don't enforce covid measures here. This place is tiny. It's impossible for the staff to social distance even a few feet from each other. The marble stone slabs that they make your ice cream creations on are set up right next to each other, so the staff (thankfully, all wearing masks and gloves) are pretty much shoulder-to-shoulder. They were understandably, very busy on the 95 degree evening I went, and the line was out the door, as customers did their best to social distance. But it did seem that there were a lot of food delivery people waiting for their orders standing around in the back (not social distancing from the people in line). They really need to limit the number of people allowed inside, and maybe have delivery folks wait outside? All I know was that it was way too crowded for comfort.
