I have not had cold stone in a very long time so I was looking forward to eating here. It was such a let down ! Couldn't even take a picture of my ice cream bc it was melting. Today was a hot day close to 90 degrees. I got the Reese peanut butter ice cream and there was a chunk of peanut butter that was not mix in properly with the ice cream. I got it in a waffle cup and I was disappointed bc walking into the ice cream shop I should have known better. It was warm inside so why would the ice cream be cold and refreshing? Please do better! Man, I remember coldstone being a lot better. The ice cream feels slightly melted. It wasn't anything amazing. I got the waffle cone bowl and it was completely stale. Probably has been sitting out for a couple days. Do not level up with the waffle cone. Overall, it was about eight dollars. I am a fan of Cold Stone Creamery and the Coffee Lovers. The ice creams here are so fresh and creamy. This is one of the few locations that are still open. The staff here are friendly and quick and the place is fairly clean. Miss frequenting to Cold Stone with the South Windsor and Middletown locations closed down. read more

I absolutely love the cake batter ice cream at Cold Stone Creamery. It's, well, extra creamy. Due to a nut allergy, I have limitations when it comes to ice cream places (since many times the scoops are cross contaminated). Cold Stone mixes all of their ice cream 'creations' on the same table. The woman working at the time happily made me an ice cream in the "back" with a clean bowl and clean utensils so it didn't touch the table they normally mix on. The service, and positive attitude was much appreciated (she didn't act like it was a hassle or extra work for her). Definitely check this location out - they have a ton of flavors! We ordered three desserts from the DoorDash menu. We were charged over $50 which naturally included $17 for tip and delivery. Not one of the orders were correct; all missing multiple ingredients. Cold stone basically charged me $33 for 3 scoops of ice cream. I am disgusted. In response to my concern, DoorDash gave me a $3 credit towards my next order. Cold stone should be held accountable. This past Thursday around 2 pm I stopped by for a medium ice cream half vanilla and half strawberry cheesecake. The price on the wall stated 4.79 for a Medium ice cream. The young blond at the register charged me $6.18 took my money and did not give me a receipt. I ice cream! But the last 10 years I've had issues with Dairy as far as it being and ice cream, can't eat cold cereal due 2 a surgery I had. 19 E Cheese's, yogurt, cottage cheese, cream cheese 4 for some reason even soy,rice,almond,lactaid don't agree if I want a bowl of cereal and I have to be careful with ice cream. I can't eat a lot of it. So when I eat it I want to make sure that I'm going to get the best out there and get what I like and if it costs a little bit more it's so worth it... at home sometimes I have sure bird in my freezer for once in a blue moon I pick up five gallon of Baskin & Robbins peanut butter and chocolate or cookie dough or Ben and Jerry's. So when we move to Clinton in the summer of 2012 I was excited to see Dunkin Donuts but it didn't have baskin-robbins inside which just about every 8 of 10 do on Long Island. But I found out the one up in Killingworth has that I don't go up that way much. Ironically I had only had cold stone maybe 2 - 3x's b4 moving here... I was having such a craving one day I stopped in on my way home. I was overwhelmed for the choices and everything I didn't know where to begin. A girl helped me what was phenomenal she let me try certain flavors & explain all the different things I could do besides the staples Sundaes / waffle cones on the menu... I obviously love chocolate ice cream with peanut butter sauce in it and peanut butter cups. I thought it was so cool that they actually use real PB from the jar and that of a oil based sauce. Basically from 1993 - 1999 I work in Friendly's as a fountain worker..... that's basically the ice cream department, grill, waitress, shift manager while I was going through college... I really like there I see maybe 5o/50. The peanut butter sauce to come in this round plastic bucket w/ metal handle. U would have to pry it off then try 2 not spill any of there oil that was @ top which was about 3 in. BC while sitting in storage it settled. You will have to let it get to room temp. then U would have it stir it & whisk it for 30 min... making sure there were no lumps and that you reach the bottom. A lot of times people would put it in the microwave 2 "soften it" but" would end up burning it. It admased me the whole process that they do with the cold stone and how they mix everything together. She had portioned out too much and it didn't fit into the container size that I was paying for and she actually put the rest of it in a smaller container and gave it to me anyway. She said I would have just had to throw it away anyway so you might as well take it. I said I don't want you to get in trouble and she said no it happens sometimes we don't want to undersell someone's container and make them unhappy so if it too much and there's enough support in a kids size / small container we will give it to you. It was so good & I actually ate a little more than I normally would &I didn't get sick! That under literally lasted me maybe 5 days. Got back a few times then try different concoctions I also have bought the pre made cupcakes & ice cream sandwiches since we have coupons. So I'm def. a Cold Stone convert.... only other place I go with to Ben and Jerrys one at Mohegan Sun or if I'm out in Branford or anywhere that is a location read more

They really need to get someone in and clean the place. I'm not an overly clean person, but it's not hard to sweep floors, clean ice cream off drops off of things, there was dust under the freezer where they store cakes. The guy that was in there wasn't overly friendly. I just remember when I worked in a Coldstone as a high schooler, it was much cleaner and we had to sing and be super upbeat. read more

I love this place. :) Typically I order one of the combinations they have already concoted (like the birthday cake one... or the German chocolate cake one...), but I love the appeal of choosing my own things to fold in as well. :) As soon as you walk in, you smell the sugar and cream and instantly your day gets better. Worst experience ever. The employees at this place treat their customers with limited respect. I went in the other day to purchase a cake. A boy was talking to me in a demeaning fashion, as if he did not want to help me in the slightest. He treated me like I was not a person, let alone a paying customer. Might I add, the cakes in the freezer out front looked unpleasant and distasteful. A toddler could have made the cakes better. They were quite expensive too. Overall the attitude of the employee shaped my experience. There was rude behavior and I felt like I had to rush when I should have felt free to take my time looking at the product I WAS willing to purchase at this store. Needless to say, I will be purchasing Carvel Cakes from here on out. If you want ice cream served with a mean attitude, you'll love it at this Coldstone. But if you're like everyone else, stay away from this store. read more

Cold Stone is great! I absolutely love it! On my way home from Clinton Crossing Outlets I stopped at this Cold Stone location, which is just up the street. Who wouldn't want to enjoy some ice cream sitting passenger on a 20 minute ride. So I ordered a small ice cream to go with a lid. Soon after I started eating I spot what looks like a hair. I pulled out a long strand of hair that was mixed in with the ice cream. Not just 1 but 3 long hairs in my ice cream! Smh disgusting! read more
