Today was the perfect day for some ice cream. Rather than go down the road for frozen custard, I decided to give this place a try. When I walked in, there was a little line (which I expected since it was a nice day). They only had two people working, so I could already tell this visit would require a lot of patience. I had a chance to look around while waiting and saw that the place was clean and had ample seating inside and even a couple benches outside. They offer a ton of toppings, as well as different ice cream flavors, cakes, chocolates, and candied apples. I decided I'd go with my normal toppings (heath bar, butterfinger, and cookie dough) with French vanilla ice cream in the "like it" size (the smallest). When it was my turn, I gave the guy my offer and watched him get the ice cream, then get the toppings and mix everything together. It reminded me of how they do hibachi but only with ice cream. Everything was good but then he realized he made too much. He scraped some off the side the side and handed it to me, but since I wasn't staying, I asked for a lid. I was little ticked that it wasn't already offered and think they should at least ask rather than assume. I paid and then I left. I'm glad I came when I did because as I was as leaving, there were at least 15-20 people in line! As for the taste, it's good but I tasted way more butterfinger than the other flavors. "I'm still fuming about my experience at Cold Stone. I ordered a scoop of my favorite ice cream, but when I got it, I was horrified to see not one, but multiple hairs in my ice cream. I was disgusted and immediately brought it to the staff's attention. To my surprise, they seemed completely unbothered and unapologetic. When I asked to speak to a manager, they basically told me I must have been "laying" the hairs there myself. Are you kidding me?! Always enjoy my visits! If you can, I'd recommend coming during the day on the weekdays because the line can get reallllllly long, like all the way to the front door. The ice cream is really good. Your toppings are hand mixed in on a freezing stone, and you can watch the experience. They have fruits, chocolates, nuts, a ton of different toppings. Also, they have chocolate covered items such as apples, candies, nuts, etc. and even dog treats. I love this place, but like I said the line is super long on Fridays and Saturdays and parking isn't the best on those days. Pretty crowded on a Sunday early evening on a nice weather day. Had to wait in line but that gave me time to sign up for their club that provided a bogo free! I appreciate that they have some vegan ice cream now, but they also have sorbets. I ordered "Don't cry over spilled silk" which is the chocolate almond ice cream, toasted almonds, bananas and peanut butter! Delicious! I hope they add more vegan ice cream flavors as I'm not a huge chocolate fan. My son had mint lint chocolate chip and said it was good. Will go back to try it in a milkshake. Well I had a lil craving this night and ran out to get a "like it" size treat. When I got there I thought I may end up there all night - there were almost 15 people in front of me. The staff was quick and friendly though and I was in, through the line and back in my car in just about 5 mins! I highly recommend this location. My wife is kind of nostalgic about this place from the graduate days in NY area. Lucky we have cold stone creamery in St. Louis. The creamery is good for graduate days taste but I wish they expand their taste to more contemporary flavors such as mango and coconut to name a few. Kids like the available flavors so we keep visiting. There is no molten lava cake or equivalent so we end up some similar flavors. A small ice cream with cone can be around 7-8 dollars so if you are trying flavors, not your place. Overall ice creams are churned well so really taste silky creamy. They serve after mixing it on the frozen plate, which make the taste fresh. Customer service is good and the place is clean. Will keep coming occasionally. read more

I adore Cold Stone Creamery. We don't have one in Tulsa, so I rarely get to have it. I guess people would say Marble Slab Creamery is equivalent, but they really aren't. Sweetness assaulted my nose as soon as I walked in the doors. I didn't mind at all. It immediately heightened the anticipation for me. The inside was spotless clean and the staff were super attentive. My son and I got the Coffee lovers and he added KitKat candy bar to his. The medium size was really almost too big to finish in one sitting. My son got the larger size and didn't finish! It was delicious! Everything I remembered and more! There's nothing that could have made this visit any better. I enjoyed looking at the other confectionary they offered, candied and caramelized apples and all sorts of goodies. I called the store on a Friday afternoon after our son told us out of the blue he wanted a Lightning McQueen cake for his birthday in 2 days. I looked online and found Cold Stone had one listed. I wasn't sure if they'd be able to do this with such short notice. I called the store and Abby answered and said she wasn't sure if they'd be able to get it done by Sunday but she would call the owner and see what he said. Abby was very pleasant and very helpful. Within 30 minutes I got a call from Kevin, the owner/manager I believe, and he said they really wanted to help us out and get it done. He had already looked online and found the cake topper that I could order and said I would be able to get it quicker than he could through his supplier. He said they would make the cake and it'd be ready by Sunday and then I can put the cars on the top myself (which was super easy and I was totally fine with). I picked up the cake and it was perfect and we really enjoyed it. The employee that was there at the time was super friendly and helpful as well. This was my first time ordering a cake from Cold Stone and the experience couldn't have been better. I wasn't expecting this to get done with our very late notice to them but it was incredible how they called me right away and said they wanted to do everything they could to get it done for me. We will definitely get another cake from them soon and appreciate the great customer service they provided. read more

What a painful experience. With 2 customers ahead of us it took us 30 min to buy a box of chocolates. 7 people working behind the counter and seems like nobody knows what they are doing. There was no line and I stood waiting to be helped at the front for 10 minutes while the workers walked back and forth glancing up at me. This update is due to a lot of things. My husband and I visit a lot of ice cream places, and there area a lot of good ones out there. One thing we have noticed after a couple visits to Coldstone is the quality, variety and consistently good flavors. Most importantly, their portion sizes are great! My first review was mainly due to not providing a childhood favorite topping: Chocolate Syrup. But, after learning about the quality ice cream they serve and trying the fudge and caramel toppings, and comparing a lot of aspects to other good ice cream shops, this place has really expanded my ice cream palate. I am able to take my favorite flavor, chocolate, and combine it with some other delicious flavors: Gooey Butter (seriously the best Gooey Butter Ice Cream in St. Louis), Oreo Cream, coffee; plus, they have all kinds of chocolate flavor varieties. Most of all this place has really improved in its customer service with smiling, helpful faces and letting customers try flavors as they determine what they want to indulge in for their dessert! While I will always have my childhood favorites and like the local ice cream shops too, this place delivers great ice cream, worth paying for that you can customize and truly have a delicious experience! read more

This location has gotten worse over the years. I tried to ignore it, but I went again this past Sunday and it look as though there were a bunch of younger youth working. I had to get both of my orders remade and it still was not accurate. I asked a couple times about certain ingredients that were supposed to be in the Cookie Doughn't You Want Some. I could tell the young man wasn't making it right. He kept saying "yeah it's right". The ice cream was not made correctly when I received it. Another young man offered to make it and for some reason he didn't add the cookie dough. I told him and he ignored me. Apparently they don't have the ingredients memorized for the signature creations. The least they could do is just read it. In addition, there was no order amongst the workers, no one working cashier, the pickup/online order line was long, and those of us waiting in the actual order line had to wait. I have fond memories of Cold Stone from my high school days, and our recent visit to this locatin for a quick anniversary date, did not disappoint! Even around 8pm it was a hopping place to be. My husband and I each ordered 2 scoops with various toppings (lots of options---candies, nuts, fruit) after test-tasting a few samples. Seating was a little tight but we were able to find a table for ourselves. My favorite flavors here are pistachio and black cherry. Ordered a ice cream cake online. Pickup was the next day at 7pm. Arrived at 7 to be told it would be ready in 5 minutes. 15 minutes later was told my daughters birthday cake would not be ready til the next day after 11. Was also told I would be given partial credit due to their error. So I arrived the next day (day after birthday party) only to be told there would be no credit because it was an online order and that a manager would call me soon. Never received a call. 2 long round trips for a cake that was nothing to brag about for over $40 dollars. Terrible customer service. As a business owner myself I would have sent the customer home with a already made cake the day of the party then offered a free or discounted cake the next day.
