This cold stone is the one that I go to the most & the service is just getting worse & worse. Today I was in the mood for ice cream, I know this location is kosher so I knew I wasn't going to be able to taste the new Lucky Charms creation. However, they have a banana pudding creation that I've been dying to try. The lady says they had the Lucky Charms but stopped selling it because they are kosher which is weird to me but ƙ. I ordered a shake with almond milk there was no almond milk. So we had to order with whole milk. Whole time the lady had no friendly expression, she just looks disgusted to be working there. We move on to the other items on my list & finally get to my order which was the Banana Pudding. This lady tells me there's no vanilla wafers. That's when I said o what do you really have? No vanilla wafers, no almond milk no lucky charms. Ughh. I ended up getting my usual which is the birthday cake remix however, instead of fudge I get caramel & I add cotton candy ice cream to it. It is always so good this time it was not good at all. There was a bitter expired old taste to the ice cream & couldn't pin point what it was. Finally, I see that it's the sprinkles that was the issue. The sprinkles were crunchy & it shouldn't be crunchy. So they either updated the kind of sprinkles they have or they had old expired sprinkles, either way it wasn't good. So if you want good customer service skip this place all together. Back when they had the Barbie ice cream one of them did it really nice. The next time I went it looked wack so I was like why does this look like this she said that's how it comes I said no cuz I came the other day & the lady with the pink hair did it right. Although I have enjoyed many visits to this location, we received the sad news today that this location has been sold and although remaining open, has decided not to remain Kosher-certified. A shame, as much of the location's clientele are Kosher observant and from the area. read more

My wife's ice cream was made good. Her's was ice cream at least. I ordered mine with fruit and I got half-melted vanilla milk with fruit that is cherried in sugar and not real fruit as portrayed in the pictures. I asked if I could get a different choice because I was expecting ice cream and not melted milk. They said, "No, people expect it to be like that." Obviously, the young woman is just probably trying to get through college with the angry manager behind her and couldn't really help me. DO NOT GO HERE. Save yourself money and time. read more

The few times I have been here I noticed the service keeps getting worse and worse. Last time I was here the music was on so loud I could barely hear what the employee was saying. Today I came back and they were out of cones. In the employees defense, they offered a waffle cup instead and didn't charge me extra, which was nice of them. Unfortunately, this place deserves zero stars. As we entered, the establishment to staff were in the front appearing to look busy and we were never greeted or acknowledged for at least five minutes. There was one female employee in the front who looked miserable and as if we were bothering her. Finally an employee came from the back to help us. My friend was craving cold stone ice cream so she decided to place an order via the GrubHub app. Unfortunately the GrubHub app did not allow us to add all the toppings that we wanted on our ice cream. We decided to call the Cold Stone Creamery to see if the items could be added over the phone since the order was already placed. The employee informed us that our additional toppings were not added and that she could not add any missing toppings over the phone. She also stated that she could only add the toppings that we paid for via GrubHub. My friend wanted to cancel the order over the phone but I'm not sure if the employee understood that the order should be canceled. She didn't cancel the order. I called back to cancel the order, I asked the young lady if she needed my name to cancel the order. Instead of saying yes or no she just hung up the phone. This Cold Stone Creamy is located a block away from St.John's university. The line moved very slowly. There's always a line out the door. There's a 5 person limit inside. The person who took my order did not know what was supposed to be in the ice cream and had an air pod in. For every order, a lot of ice cream was being wasted. I like going to Cold Stones. The ice cream is good and its pretty consistent. Usually there is a line though and depending on the servers, how quick the lines move. Also depends on the customers too. You pretty much have enough time to decide before the server gets to you. There are shakes, smoothies, and of course the ice cream. There are a bunch of different options like Strawberry Blonde, Oreo Overload, a Peanut Butter one, Carmel one and a few more. You can also create your own flavors. You can also add extras like peanut butter cups, nestle crunch bars, sprinkles, etc. You have to pay for the extra toppings. The Gotta Have It size which is large, is pretty big though. The lines moved pretty quickly here when I was here and it was a big line. Parking is metered and can be tough depending on time of day. read more

I came here a couple of times. The first time was good but the staff member forgot to add rainbow sprinkles when I asked for them. The second time, I received melted ice cream...it looked like a smoothie in my cone. They have a decent variety of ice cream flavors and the small size (although pretty huge to me) comes with one flavor of ice cream and one mix in. The staff seem to work well together. They're able to remember codes on the POS, take customers orders efficiently, and enforce the five person limit in the store. For $10 a cone and after receiving melted ice cream, I don't think I will revisit. The ice cream did not taste extraordinary for me to consider making another trip to this location. read more

Now if your coming here looking for good customer service and a great experience I say pick another location. However the ice cream is the same as any other so you decide. Upon walking in to this establishment on one was in front to greet you there was 3 people behind the counter all in the back. One girl walked out and walked up to me and just looked no greeting nothing. I ordered a custom cake. Upon picking it up, I was told "oh crap, I knew I forgot to do something today...give me 10 minutes!" She proceeded inside to decorate it. Which is fine, 10 minutes wait wasn't a big deal. When she handed me the cake she said "this cake is melting, make sure you put it in the freezer right away." I remember weekends get packed in there and with it next to St. John's Univeristy, can find yourself waiting in a long line if you pick the wrong day/time. It was clean and an easy in/out. A young guy helped us. I got the like it size (small) of founders favorite. Instead of sweet cream ice cream (sweet tasting vanilla), I got pistachio. Sooooo good and the guy made too much and was nice enough to give us the extra that was left over. Everyone I went with left happy with their ice cream. I like this Cold Stone. As with other locations they are small, but larger than the Lynbrook location I go to occasionally. Looks cleaner and more organized than the Lynbrook location as well. Comparisons aside, staff are decent. Polite enough and make your special treat to your liking. In the evening music is loud and makes you feel as if you're about to go out to the club. Street parking leaves a lot to be desired. But! I love love love cold stone! It's close to my house and honestly I think it's better than most ice creams I've tried. You have to love being able to have all your fixins mashed up into your ice cream. My favorite used to be the birthday cake remix, because let's be serious its like licking the bowl in ice cream form. Then one day an employee was all "I'll make you something better". I was doubtful but that decision change me forever! He made me a "that's how I roll" and it was a done deal. Now it's my favorite and sometimes I even get a little caramel in their. I prefer Maggie Moo's on bell blvd. Cold Stone ice cream is very soft and creamy, which sounds great, but I enjoy ice cream melting in my mouth, not in my cup. Their mix-ins are also overwhelming. Revisited this location a few days ago and had a pretty good experience. I've come to this particular location a handful of times but I've always had a pretty positive experience. The employees are patient and they've always gotten my order right. For my most recent visit, the ice cream tasted great and service was pretty fast (granted it was cold out so that's pretty expected). Can't wait for the summer so hopefully i'll be here more often. Terrible experience at this location. Was not greeted, instead told "so, are you ready" like I was a bother in the store and I was the only customer there waiting on line. This came from the worker coming from the back, with a disgusted look on her face and an eye roll. I informed the worker that I would wait on someone else to help me and that she seemed unhappy to be at work. The worker returned to the back and did not care. I asked for a manager and explained the interaction. I am a paying customer purchasing ice cream for $18. The worker returned, stood behind the manager, folded her arms and stared me down the entire time I was in the store. Upon feeling uncomfortable and targeted, I asked the worker to please stop starting at me. The worker stated that her job was to make ice cream and she could stare. Being the only one in the store, this was very awkward. I informed her that if she was not happy with her job, she should quit. She informed me that at least she had a job because I looked like I did not have one. I was shocked to be hearing this from a place I am spending my money in and asked her to elaborate what a jobless customer looked like. This was beyond disrespectful and I also felt targeted as a person of color. I mean I was in there with a blazer, dress pants and a top. I never knew there was a dress code for looking employed. She became irate and had to be taken to the back as she appeared to want to fight me and continued to carry on all the way to the back. However, this time what she was saying was incomprehensible. I left the ice cream, asked for a refund and told the guy assisting me he could keep my refund as a tip, since I appear to be so jobless and please give her the ice cream. There was no way I would eat that after such an experience. Got the info for the owner etc. which did not seem to be too productive of a conversation, in the way his employee's actions were justified and minimized. It's dirty and absolutely filthy here. They don't wear gloves or change them as frequently as they're supposed to. I know because I used to work for another Cold Stone! I literally saw this girl with her bare fingers in my ice cream, mixing it and smushing it while she continues to wipe her sweaty forehead. Once, I witnessed this worker who just opened up the glass display and Windexed it... while all the ice cream sat there, uncovered, exposed to Windex! Another time I saw a nickel in a tub of ice cream. How gross is that??? When they sing, they're always unenthusiastic. And people CANNOT make excuses for them by saying that they're tired or underpaid. They make more than a pharmacy tech, with all the tips.
