Our experience at this shop was incredibly disappointing. We arrived excited to try their ice cream, only to be met with rude and unprofessional behavior from the staff. Even after waiting in line for quite a while, the employee kept allowing others to cut ahead. We were standing directly in front of him, yet he kept scanning the room and calling out "Who's next?" as if we were invisible. It felt intentional and very disrespectful. When he finally served us, he repeatedly put his fingers inside the ice cream cup while preparing it. It was unhygienic and honestly gross. We couldn't bring ourselves to eat it and ended up throwing it away. read more

Came here to purchase a ice cream cake, they have many different cake with other ice cream filling. We ordered coffee with vanilla ice cream cake. The coffee ice cream was not as creamy it had ice crystals in ice cream, was disappointed there ice cream are usually creamy smooth texture. read more

Great ice cream. Made with real ingredients, not some coconut oil concoction. Service was quick and efficient. Had a Belgian chocolate milkshake, which made my day. Another thing I really liked: I asked the young lady working the counter (perhaps daughter of the owner) to add sprinkles after she prepared the milkshake; she took off the lid and made sure to hand me the lid while she added the sprinkles, instead of putting it on top of the counter. This Haagen Dazs location is great, parking was super easy and Daniel was so helpful and sweet. We ordered cups to go (my usual favorite dulche de leche) and then decided to sit down because it was cold out. Since we ordered ice cream to take home with us as well, Daniel asked us if we wanted him to keep it in the freezer until we were done enjoying our cups. If you compare prices with the frozen yogurt place down the street they are bout the same and the quality is better here. Good location. We stop by frequently and they are for most part generous with the scoops. The cons are - 1. Price is a bit high, especially since you can get a quart for the same Haagen Daaz ice cream a few blocks away the price you pay for a small! 2. Employees could be friendly. The older gentleman who I believe must be the owner sometimes is downright intimidating and I've been many times already. 3. The area is kind of dingy. 4. Poorly enforced social distancing. They have put tapes on the sidewalk but they don't do anything to enforce them. 5. Lines are poorly enforced. Many times people just cut in front because everyone is confused where line start since they are doing takeout only. The teenage employees though don't seem to care to enforce so people are always cutting in and out. read more

First of all, very large for an ice cream place. Quality chairs to sit on and plenty of seating for groups. So clean. There were plenty of flavors to chose from. Worst part was trying to make a decision! The cashier let us try a few flavors first. I eventually settled on one scoop of praline ice cream and one scoop dulce de leche. Both were outstanding. Im not a caramel person but the dulce de leche was so good, not overpowering and not too sweet. Favorite was the praline one! Got two good sized scoops in a small cup. Good portions. My boyfriend got a praline ice cream in a cone. The cone complemented the ice cream wonderfully. This place also makes the most beautiful cakes. Didn't price them out but i couldn't imagine them being not worth it for the quality and decoration. I'm upset my birthday is so far away! Bill came to about $9 for both of us. I grew up eating Haagen Dazs-it's my favorite ice cream place of all time and that'll never change. I moved back to NY 2 months ago and this is my go-to dessert spot after dinner on the weekdays. This location is clean and spacious and the men working there are so helpful and nice! My favorites are the cookie dough dynamo, caramel cone and their new flavor, caramel coffee on a sugar cone! I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!!! Especially Haagen Dazs! My family and I have been coming to this location for years and the same employees still work here. It is so nice to see a friendly face. They have tables so you can sit and enjoy your treats or you can take a walk around the Great Neck village. We always order the Belgian chocolate shake which is so smooth, creamy and chocolatey. Topped with whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles. They drizzle chocolate fudge around the inside of the cup before they pour in the shake. So it looks and tastes amazing! I fell in love with a shake that they featured a few years ago but no longer advertise it. They still make it for me! I always request a milkshake with caramel drizzle, coffee and dulce de leche ice cream. It is out of this world! If you are not into shakes like we are, you have a variety of ice cream flavors and ice cream bars to choose from. In a cone or in a cup? Whipped cream and toppings? Hot fudge or fruits? There's lots of seating, so this place gets crowded very fast. The staff is super friendly and they know a lot of the local faces and their orders. The lose a point though.
