I was given a gift card and had a bogo offer on the rewards app so we visited in a Saturday evening. Our orders were made quickly. I ordered the Oreo and chocolate covered pretzel base with chocolate shavings mixed in. I didn't detect any Oreo or pretzel pieces in the ice cream. The ice cream is VERY sweet. My friend had the Oreo Reece's ice cream with a super small snack size Twix bar mixed in. The attendant making the ice cream made too much and threw it away instead of topping off the ice cream in the dish. It made me wonder how much ice cream is wasted! When we went to pay, the cashier said she couldn't accept the BOGO offer on my rewards account. She said that it is really for just $1 off. She said other customers came in with the offer and her manager told her not to accept it. It was disappointing since the ice creams cost $7.99/each! We also had a $5 off reward so she accepted that. Overall, I prefer ice cream from other stores. There should have been Oreos, pretzels and shaved chocolate in my ice cream and all I could detect were the chocolate shavings. There is a serious debate in my house about which ice-cream chain is the best, and I am a FIERCE Cold Stone defender. The flavors and how everything is mixed up just can't be beat. Cookie doughn't you want some is straight from Heaven. On this last visit, I was a little disappointed. My order came out really fast and I was impressed, until I saw that the cookie dough pieces were barely broken up, which is kind of the point. It was eternally two big slabs of cookie dough stuck in the ice-cream. They weren't busy at all, but it seems like he rushed through it. Still delicious though! read more

Cold Stone is such a treat.... Generally. This visit sadly wasn't one of those. It was a Friday night, close to 10 PM. It wasn't very busy when we walked in. Just one family at the counter and two of us just walking in. Seemed like about 4 employees from what I could see assisting the front of house and another in back. When it was our turn to order, the young lady behind the counter seemed a bit short tempered with us. While we didn't know exactly what we wanted to order at the time, we had some simple questions. I ended up getting a strawberry blonde with everything except the caramel and a scoop of cookies and cream with chocolate chip mix in. As the young lady was scooping the ice cream, it appeared soft. When I've been to most any other Cold Stone, the employees really had to work to scoop out the ice cream before placing it on the frozen marble block to mix. It was so soft, as soon as it hit the block, it didn't keep its balled shape from the scoop that she pulled out. Sort of went flat! She immediately poured in caramel. I reminded her I didn't want the caramel. She proceeded to wipe off the caramel with her scooper and continued mixing. She mixed the ingredients together, it looked mushy! Almost a thick soft serve consistency. When the creation was put into the cup, it barely went above the top of the cup. It was a small cup to start with. The. She didn't add the whipped cream to top it off! For the second item, she scooped the cookies and cream directly into the cup and then added the chocolate chips on top. Ugh! Not to happy that it wasn't mixed in as it's supposed to be. If you're in the need of an ice cream fix, I'd suggest going to Publix across the street and just get your mix-ins on your own. Allow me to preface this review by saying I absolutely love cold stone. I've been eating cold stone for years on end, getting the same mix ins for years. This specific night (January 17,2026) I went around 10:30/11. There were 3 employees. 2 of which were cleaning, 1 preparing an order for the guests ahead of us. The male on staff, told us to give him a minute, okay fine, I don't mind waiting. Maybe about 5 minutes later as he's cleaning he asks if we're ready, we say yes, yet he still told us to wait until he was finished cleaning whatever he was cleaning. We were ready when we walked in. He was rude the entire time. I asked to try a flavor I've never seen before (red velvet) because my usual butter pecan was unavailable amongst other flavors. He listed unavailable flavors that are popular among the black community and I'm sure you can guess why. I settled with French vanilla, I'd opted for brownie in it and I asked "is it possible to not have the entire brownie", he rudely said "not really". What do you mean? I'm paying for this. I politely asked him "well then, may you cut that piece in half I don't want that much", I ordered a 'like it' size, I did not want it overwhelmed with brownie. With an attitude he took out most of the brownie, barely mixing it in. It comes time to pay, he sets up the register for a card transaction and walks away. I have a child that has nut allergies even after we told them and acknowledged they continued to make it in the front. I told the worker my child who was present would not eat it if it's prepared right next to an open jar of peanut butter spread. All other Cold Stones we have been to in and out of state they have prepared it in the back to avoid cross contamination. Then i started to order even though she looked like she wasn't ready to, she then proceed to put ice cream into the clear pan, which melted the ice cream more than it should. Speediest workers I've ever met. Cold Stone Creamery on 17th Street was so quick with my order. I walked in about an hour prior to closing with my boyfriend and we grabbed some ice cream to go. I made my own 'like it' sized and got chocolate ice cream w gummy bears + brownies + roasted almonds. My boyfriend got the birthday cake flavor and we spent about $15 for both. I got a gift card for this place so I finally made a visit. I git a large ice cream bowl with the waffle cone. The size and portion was great and filling. The ice cream was fresh and tasteful. Based on reading other recent reviews, perhaps the management has recently changed because my family had a great experience here. The employees were very attentive and helpful. They made suggestions, asked if we wanted to try any flavors, and were very friendly. When I left, the manager overheard me quietly saying to my husband that I didn't think I got very much candy add-in and immediately asked if she could do anything to make things better, then asked someone to add in more candy. I drove down to the Fort Lauderdale area to take a bike ride around town; and in no time I racked up 15 miles. The sun was bright and hot and all that cardio meant one thing... I was in need of something refreshing. We alluded the many Ft Lauderdale beer spots and decided to treat ourselves to a frozen treat. We all know the routine at Cold Stone (just like Marble Slab)... pick your toppings and mix into your ice cream on a cold slab of marble/stone. It's not all that unique (as Dairy Queen has been doing something similar with Blizzards for decades) but it is a delicious reward nonetheless. What's not part of the typical routine is the RUDE STAFF... We're paying customers so that alone makes it imperative to treat us with at least minimal respect if you want repeat business. From the moment we came in, an older woman (assumed to be owner or manger) was yapping on the phone loud; even if it was a business related call she should have taken the call into the back room or outside since she was quite loud (and in a foreign tongue). The younger girl was ice cold... no hello, no thank you... even our easy questions about "specials" posted or menu choices were answered in quick, simple quips.. no explanations, no emotion, really disturbing (and it wasn't in a "she might just be shy" kinda way). She was just a job-hating mean-girl. We asked about a posted special that included bottled water (remember we are hot and can really use some water too)... turns out you had to order something that we didn't get so we asked for a couple tap waters... she hesitated and acted like she was being put out; as if we were wasting her time. I love Cold Stone.... though I slightly miss the days of their annoying singing when they got tips... and yes this has made me stop tipping (plus who has cash these days anyways?). This location is the closest to my house and seems to be along my route home from several of my favorite restaurants. And yes, most of the time I've already had dessert, but who can resist Cold Stone as a second dessert round lol. This location only gets three stars because a) the staff is borderline rude/miserable b) the parking sucks and it's often hard to find a spot and c) there is pretty much no outdoor seating that isn't already being commandeered by patrons of the next door establishment. HELLO! It's hard for me to drive and eat ice cream! and I can't eat ice cream sitting inside your freezing cold establishment. We came here after dinner in Las Olas on the way back home. Establishment was decently clean and service was fairly fast. Both my friend and I got our own ice cream in a waffle cone. The waffle cone was very tasty and pretty crisp and fresh, which I really appreciated! However, our two "like it" sized ice creams ended up being $17! The person assisting us failed to mention that it was an additional charge of $1 if he added one Oreo (totaling to 3 Oreos) for the mix-ins, so we paid for two additional toppings instead of one. Both she and I have ordered the same combination at other Cold Stone Creameries and have never been charged so much. We were kind of miffed that he didn't tell us there would be additional charges and I've never paid so much for a single portion of ice cream in my life. Absolutely the worst Customer Service experience. After having a nice lunch, my husband and I decided to get some ice cream at Cold Stone Creamery located on 17th Street. When we walked in, the staff was in the back. Finally a young girl about 17 years old came out and asked what can I get for you? We showed her the special that was for her store (see attached picture) and she seemed a bit confused about pint vs quart and once she figured it out she proceeded to put the order together. The young girl asked what flavors we wanted, Pistachio and banana. When she ran up the purchase, the total was $21.64. We stated that was not the price online, she stated that was the price that came up in the system. Still confused, she called out "Ma" to her mother who came out from the back. We explained that we saw the promotion online for her particular store and that was the price we wanted. The mother explained that she did not have that sale in her system and that she would have to call someone. Apparently she called her son after she had taken a picture of the online promotional sale, which I believe that she sent to him via text. Whatever was told told to her she was repeating to us, which then the mother attempted to hand over her cellphone over to my husband to speak with her son over the phone to tell us that they wouldn't honor the online promotion. At this point, we were both disappointed in lack of customer service and professionalism and walked out of the store. So instead honoring the price, they let us walk out of the store and the ice cream that we were directed by the mother to place in the refrigerator while she was trying to figure what was going on would most likely be thrown away.Never again!!!!! read more
