It was delicious and exactly what I was looking for. My only complaint was the volume on the radio. We stopped by the other evening for a sweet treat. The door was out the door. I wanted to leave immediately, but my friend convinced me to stay. We stood in line for about 15-20 minutes before it was our turn to order. There was about 3 employees behind the counter, but only 2 of them were fulfilling/taking orders. The other 2 were walking back and forth from the front to the back room. They really should've pitched in instead of having the other 2 scramble to fulfill orders. Anyway, we got to order & got our treats. I ordered the smallest size yet the order taker gave me 2 HUGE servings. Even though it was a cool gesture, a lot of it went to waste & it ended up being a sloppy mess! I like Coldstone, so I will go back. How have I not stopped here sooner? Cold stone makes delicious creations packed with toppings and phenomenal ice cream cakes. Can't have dairy? They even have a silk almond milk frozen dessert and sorbet! Customize the creations yourself or choose one of their signature combos. We chose the apple pie a la Cold stone and one smart brookie. They mix the ingredients right in front of you on the cold stone. It's fun to watch and this method distributes the toppings throughout the ice cream. I recommend choosing the waffle cone or bowl to finish it off. Now onto the ice cream cakes. No they don't have the amazing crunchies like the Carvel cakes do, but they have so much more. We chose the Midnight Delight cake. It consisted of chocolate cake and chocolate ice cream layers covered in chocolate ganache and shavings. It looked as rich and delicious as it tasted. Plus the employee working the counter was patient, friendly, and helpful. Looking forward to returning to try some of their other creations. That lucky charms flavor was quite tempting! read more

I really hope the manager of this establishment pays close attention to this post! I have seen many reports just like mine about a particular person working at this store. But this is our story... My daughter and I came in on January 13, 2025 and had a poor experience with a young girl behind the counter. She was a little rude and very difficult to hear behind the counter. We asked her to please speak up a little and she blatantly refused to repeat or speak up. You would think we would have learned our lesson but we had the urge for cold stone once again on the 20th, which was just yesterday so we decided to give them another chance. The same girl was behind the counter. She is a pretty girl, tall, thin, carmel skin, auburn hair... but VERY rude! She clearly did not want to be there. When we arrived, there were two or three other people in front of us, and there were two other girls helping behind the counter. When the people in front of us were gone, my daughter and I stood there as two of the girls went to the back room, and one girl, the one who ultimately waited on us, proceeded to clean... And not just the area where she had just been working but restocking, etc. Completely ignoring us.... like doing closing stuff and we were there at 7:10 PM they don't close till 10 or 11.. We were the only two people in the store at this point, but she acted as though there was a line out the door. She had a very soft voice and would not speak up or even raise her chin so that we could hear her up over-the-counter. She barely mixed our extras into the ice cream, leaving more than half of my pint just plain ice cream on the bottom half and all the extra things I added were midway to the top. I literally saw this with my own eyes. Then she overfilled the container, and squished the lids on oozing ice cream down all over the sides and leaving it as she attempted to pack them in the bags. My daughter asked her kindly, but yes, with a little frustration. May I wipe that off first? And she handed it to her over-the-counter. She did not offer a damn towel so we proceeded to grab napkins from the dispenser to try to wipe this sticky goo off the outer layer of the container. During this time she proceeded to put my pint into the bag, completely covered in sticky chocolate caramel and nuts. My daughter stormed out to avoid flipping out on this girl, and the young lady asked me is she OK? And I said "well you have been very rude to us, we cannot hear you behind the counter and you refuse to repeat what you're saying to us when we asked you, or even to lift your head so that we can hear you clearly and you're putting pints in a bag, fully immersed in sticky ice cream so yeah she's a little upset". Then I told her "it is obvious to me that you're upset with someone in the back room or you're mad at us for coming in, but you are just totally rude!" At this point, my daughter opened the door and called to me to just come on! So we left. It's sad but, if we do go back to that cold stone and this young girl is working, we're not going to go in... We will just go to CRUMBLE'S right next-door instead. read more

What was supposed​ to be a nice evening with dessert turned into a nightmare! When we arrived, there were 3 workers in the front and 1 in the back. We were the only customer there at the time. The two young lady in the front acted like they didn't see us. No one cared to help us as we watched them argue about who was going to wash the dishes. Another worker came from the back and pretended like he was punching a punching bag. We felt like we were babysitting a bunch of teenagers. We were on the verge of walking out. After 5 minutes watching the staff bicker and whine, we finally were able to place an order. The young man who made our signature "love it" did not know what he was doing. He was throwing on toppings like some sort joke. We had to tell him to stop squeezing fudge onto the ice cream. When we received our bowls of ice cream, it was a mess! Imagine 1/4 ice cream and 3/4 toppings. We Kindly asked for a new one with less fudge. This time, another worker made it. It turns out that she didn't​​ vanilla ice cream instead of cake batter! Lord! Help us! This all place within 20 minutes. We were fed up and gave up on ice cream for the night. We love Cold Stone but will never return to this location. If you are management and you're reading this review, I highly recommend re-training your staff. This will also help them later on in life. read more

This Cold Stone is located in the White Oak shopping center near Moe's and Great Clips. It's your typical Cold Stone, but I had to give 5 stars for the overall experience I had last night. It was late and they were slammed as usual on a summer night, parking nearby is limited because of the volume of people. The inside is clean enough, still bare when it comes to seating due to covid. My sister and I patiently waited in the long line to order. We were served by Ken and she was amazing. You could tell all of the employees were tired and ready to go home, but Ken's attitude and mood really just surprised us and brightened our evening. Even though she was tired and ready to go home, she was so pleasant, kind, great at her job, and respectful/respectable. It was evident she is a hard worker and I just want to make sure it was known! Our order of coffee lovers, strawberry surrender, and Reese's peanut butter sauce was very well mixed and delicious as usual. This is our go to location due to convenience! read more

I asked for "a few more nuts" (not an extra serving) and was told I would be charged for "a few more nuts". Also, our order was take out but we had to ask for tops and only received one top for two gotta have-its. Obviously we were supposed to share the top! And guess what?? We went here around 10pm and they were OUT OF CHOCOLATE ice cream! How do you run out of chocolate? First world problems, I know, but come on. Also, the bathroom was out of order and the rewards system was down. We tried to see if we could get some of the prepackaged flavor on sale, but no such luck. In general, Cold Stone ice cream is entirely too rich for me. With some flavors, I get a lovely taste in the first few bites but the rest are so over the top that I lose the flavor entirely. Recently, however, I decide to abandon my typical selections of creamy vanilla, white chocolate or cheesecake and chose a coffee variety with a few unique toppings. Viola! Bliss. My daughter had an even more tasty (less filling) mix of pink lemonade and watermelon sorbet. I don't think a more refreshing combination exists! This location is perfectly placed in the bustling shopping malls of White Oak Crossing. It is an excellent stop between running errands. The staff are always patient, friendly and helpful. Enjoy a few free samples before you decide on the small (like it), medium (love it), or large (gotta have it), and be sure to add in a few of the extensive mix-ins. What's missing? Remember to bring a pen to sign their receipt or they make you use their unsanitized pen. It would be nice if the staff changed gloves in between customers also. One employee fixed someone's ice cream, too their money during checkout and then went to fix another customers ice cream, all while wearing the same pair of gloves, this is cross contamination! A different employee had to be asked by a customer to put on gloves before fixing their ice cream. And even got an attitude and spoke with another employee about the customer. Not sure why I let the bad reviews scare me off. This is a cold stone. They are corporate. It's the same product across the board. This location was no dirtier or cleaner than any other location I've visited. The staff seemed to be doing a fine job. I was in today. While my wife ate her ice cream, I watched the lady behind the counter work on making her brownies. A family came in to order ice cream after we were seated. The employee making brownies was also running the register. She was taking money, stapling receipts, and dealing with customers all while wearing her gloves. It was pretty busy when we got in, so it looked rough and we waited awhile to order, which wasn't a big deal. While we were waiting we noticed one employee had a pretty foul attitude with one of her co-workers. She genuinely looked like she hated life and she wasn't helping with any of the larger orders. The employee that made our ice cream and rang us up was super sweet though. There weren't any clean tables to sit at and the one we picked had a dead bug (possibly a cockroach) on the floor nearby. We get milk shakes and it takes them 30 minutes for the line to die down and then another 10 minutes for 2-3 shakes. Not only is the staff slow and ignorant, but our shakes came back soupy.
