The ice cream itself is very good. Great selection of flavors and toppings. Fresh cones. The employees were helpful and nice. However, the store is very dirty. The floor was littered with trash, and none of the tables we're wiped inside or outside. During the 20 or so minutes we were there customers came and went. Even though there was a little down time no one wiped tables or swept. There were three employees there and they all prepared our orders. Might've been better if one person took care of us while the other went out to tidy up the store. Since the ice cream is good I'm sure we'll be back and hopefully it's cleaner on our return. read more

This was really hard to see from the road. It's connected to the Subway shop by a wall. They have a bigger sign. This shop is opposite the Cinema Theatre and its parking area. We have lived in this area for many years, but today was our first visit. We have been to a Cold Sone Creamery before in Prescott, AZ. My wife had the mint ice cream with added chocolate chips and a brownie and I had the French Vanilla ice cream with added peanut butter and chocolate fudge. Both of our treats were scrumptious. Everytime we've been here whether its after dinner, a movie, or just craving ice cream, the person behind the counter has always been helpful and engaging. This last time was no exception. I want to start first by saying the gentleman that helped me was great. He was friendly, made sure I had enough coconut in my sweet cream ice cream for my mom and carried on a conversation despite the fact he was in the last hour of his shift and I'm sure ready to go home. I apologize to him if I seemed standoffish in my interactions with him. He is the reason I am giving them any stars at all. What pissed me off royally was waiting patiently in line behind a girl who was ordering for everyone under the sun in addition to another couple when two gentlemen came into line behind me. I thought nothing of it until one of the men skipped the line because apparently he knew one of the employees and placed his order before everyone else. I was appalled...completely and utterly disgusted. Maybe it's the pregnancy hormones, but people who feel entitled to be able to do stuff like that and those that oblige or think it's okay to treat their other patrons in that way is disturbing. this is the definition of a guilty pleasure... I think I realize by now that this ice cream is not such great stuff . . . it is loaded with sugar and most likely lots of artificial flavor and coloring, the mint ice cream is like a neon green color for pete's sake and if eaten on it's own (any of the flavors) not so great ... right? But it is in the weird combination of mixing candies, brownies and liquid sugars and singing staff that turns it somehow turns into a sinful pleasure cup of ice cream mint mint chocolate chip and coffee lovers creations are my top choices.... I know how awful this stuff is for you , but it tastes so good.... that being said I must say that I do not come here that often ... personal restraint. and I will never admit to anyone that I know personally that I go here, the shame! and come on $8 for a small cup and a kids cone ... give me a break. read more

It's Dec 9 and I wanted ice cream. Stopped in here. Of course it wasn't busy, it was cold outside. But inside, the ice cream was delicious. It tasted fresh too. The service was good too. So friendly. I love Cold Stone's sorbet. I am lactose intolerant and it does not contain dairy. It is delicious. I have bought it at several locations and this was one of the best. I always order their everybody size which is the largest size they have. Some locations do a poor job of packing it tightly and filling the container. This young lady did a great job of packing it tightly and making sure it was full. I always order the sorbet with chocolate shavings. She mixed in a generous amount of them. This is the worst ice cream place in Las Cruces. Customer service was horrible chairs in lobby were already up on top of tables and we walked in at 921 p.m they close at 10 pm. The people who were outside said they put those chairs inside up at 845 pm when they got there. Music is so loud you are screaming your order to them and they keep asking what you want. Sitting out side and it's 15 min until they close and they tell us they are closing in a couple of minutes and we will have to leave. Ice cream was also horrible my kids wouldn't even finish it. This store location is terrible. I know several employees and they all say not to go these because it's infested with cockroaches and the cockroaches get into the ice cream! Also the manager is guilty of unethical business practices. Several employees have reported him for not paying them for the hours they're worked. He regularly skims pay off employees checks and they all know it. Do not support this terrible business. read more

Went there and stood in line years ago when it first opened. A couple of times, actually. Their mint ice cream tasted strange and I didn't like it. Now I find that their ice cream is wayyyyy too sweet. It is absolutely loaded with sugar. I am hypoglycemic and I NEED sugar and this ice cream gave me sugar shock. It's a Cold Stone. Best ice cream in town, and conveniently close to a movie theater. They also make excellent ice cream cakes. Always a good selection of flavors (some always available and some seasonal), and things to mix in. They have some sugar-free and sorbet options. Other reviewers seem to think it is too sugary... have they tried Caliche's frozen custard?! Now THAT is a sugar bomb. Cold Stone knows their market and does a good job serving it. Paid NINE dollars for one milkshake....one off the menu at that. We have ordered this exact milkshake at many other cold stone locations and never paid that much. Kind of ridiculous! And then I asked for whipped cream on top and they said they would have to charge another $.99 cents...for whipped cream?!?! You can get an entire can at the grocery store for that price!!
