This was the perfect place to have dessert after my brunch with my niece. They have a good selection of flavors to choose from and your choice of cups or cones. My niece ordered the founder's favorite in a regular waffle cone and said it's her favorite. I ordered the mud pie mojo which is coffee ice cream with Oreos, crushed almonds and fudge in a regular waffle cone. It was delicious and the portions were so good but I got a cover to take it home to enjoy the rest later. This location needs a thorough and deep cleaning. Mold on the inside of glass with the ice cream. Dust near countertop... etc. This location is very dirty! Needs major attention. The young employees are kind and hard working because this location gets very busy as it is in the middle of Main Street in Miami Lakes. Weekends are always packed. I opened this location and worked here for years. I have never had such an issue as today. I asked for kid sizes for my children and was told they only had love it's or bigger OR I could get a like it with a cone. It is not the customers fault that management didn't order correctly. I should not be told I have to spend more money "or leave". They were fully capable of putting a like it size ice cream or child size in a love it cup. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD THE CUSTOMER BE FORCED TO SPEND MORE MONEY. Due to the Coronavirus issue, social distance and masks are required for this location during this time. Cold Stone Creamery is one of my favorite ice cream parlors. They are quick and very attentive. This location I haven't been at in awhile, but each one of them have the same fresh taste. I'm not a big dairy person, but when I do have a taste for ice cream, I get a vanilla cup with sprinkles. :-) My son got a cookies and cream medium shake and my Husband got a founders special with chocolate ice cream. They were loading the freezer with ice cream cakes, so I'm sure consumers purchased lots of them at this location over weekend for Mother's Day. I didn't see any cupcakes, so I'm not sure if they have any here. I didn't ask because if they had them, they would've been out for display. They offer a variety of flavor combinations. Today I had the mint chocolate chip. My previous visit was a creamy vanilla with fudge sauce and a brownie. This place will wreck your diet! Our interaction here was so awkward , we went in on Monday December 5th , at 9:30 ( not an unreasonable time as they normally close at 10:00pm) we were planning on and when we opened the door there was a line of maybe 7 people maybe less and before we could even get in line we were told my the young man working that they were closed. I asked at what time it is that the closed and all he said was " right now" It was super Awkward and embarrassing since all the guests in line turned around and looked straight at my boyfriend and I as we were literally denied service. I love this place. Just my preference. The ice cream alone I really don't enjoy as much because it's really Rich. Now when I mix in the ingredients I like I love it. The down side is that it's kind of pricey compared to just going to your supermarket and buying ice cream or sometimes even another ice cream shop. I love the overall atmosphere and location of this place. The Cold Stone Creamery is surround by tons of great shopping, restaurants, and a cute movie theater. The location is clean and staff are friendly. Hands down, their Signature Birthday Cake Remix is a must try. Its so sweet (in a good way) and the gooey brownies make the ice cream delicious. The only downside, is that they ran out of brownies for the day, so I had to sub the brownies for chocolate chip cookies, which was just as good. This is the second time I have an issue at this location. Previously with a delivery where I got complete different order. They have kids working here who seem lost most of the time. This Cold Stone has to be one of the busiest ones in the state, yet the young staff here always keeps things going. The location is pretty clean and they are always stocked on toppings and ice cream. Expect to wait here between 30-45 min on a weekend. In regard to service, I have never had a bad experience here. My only gripe is I wish there was more seating indoors, but given the location of this particular Cold Stone I understand why this is not possible. There is plenty of parking near the movie theatre. I was told no they don't do testers, and that's fine. But another worker there said "why would you want a tester of chocolate, it's the same as everywhere else?" I was at this Cold Stone on Tuesday night and it was actually gross. The more I think about it the more I wish would not have ordered. To begin with from the outside of the store it appeared to be closed because there were no employees. I checked the door and it was open. I walked in and saw the employees in the back and waited for a few minutes before they came out. These 2 employee's barely spoke a word to me. There were banana peels on top of the back counter area. The employee seemed extremely bothered that we were there but I had already asked for 2 milkshakes so I didn't want to just walk out. I went to the register where from that vantage I could see the floor and there was green ice cream smeared on the floor and trash. Honestly, on the busy weekends I can understand there being cleanliness issues, but on a random Tuesday it was pure neglect.
