If you can avoid this location, I suggest you do. I wish I would have checked the reviews before we stopped into the Cold Stone inside the Modesto mall. This place charges you incorrectly, by acting like they heard you order a size you clearly did not order. Second, they do not mix in the items correctly. They are lazy. Our ice cream wasn't even mixed in. I was all in the middle only. I will stay away from this cold stone for sure. The whole pull is being able to have your mix ins, mixed into your ice cream fully. But nope and they don't even add enough mix ins. Just terrible. I suggest you go to an actual Cold Stone Store. Bad and unwelcoming service, no welcome in or nothing! read more

I purchased a caramel apple ( Pecan Bear) from the "Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory" case at this location and I was very disappointed. Not the first bad apple here. Never again! $10 for a rotten apple with no flavor. Also, the caramel was so thin, it was a very thin film that you could see through and the pecans barely clung to the apple. A couple buddy's and I were walking thru the mall and decided to grab an ice cream. The line was pretty long and only one person was working. My buddy told me to try the signature German chocolate with a brownie so I did. He asked our server to warm the brownies and she said she couldn't. He said just pop it in the microwave, lol. She said oh I guess I can. It's pretty bad when you have to explain to someone how to do they're job. Honestly the signature dish wasn't that good at all. Nothing special way too many nuts and the brownie was ehhh. I definitely wouldn't get that again there was absolutely no highlight to the dish. read more

I came in today i bought two like it size cups of ice cream.i did not get a warm greeting when i walked through the door!funny because a family walked in after me and the guy who helped me greeted them he was extremely rude at first i couldn't decide what i wanted he acted as though he was annoyed with me i also ordered a waffle cone and a bowl i asked the guy if he washed his hand because i did not see him sanitize or wash them he was seated when i walked in and went straight to making the ice cream and touching his bare hands on the cone not to mention ice cream was spilling out the tops of both that i had to clean terrible customer service i gave this place a chance again and got burned again iam so so done with cold stone learn how to hire ppl with so damn manners iam spending my money sincerely a angry customer and no i dont want any free ice cream i just dont want to catch nobody's else germs while eating it read more

Yes, its 5 stars just because of Isaiah and his excellent service. I came here with my two grandkids last Wednesday, 2/14/18 to get their favorite flavors..beforehand lol I told them that each was only allowed for one scoop and no toppings for a healthier choice. We were assisted promptly by a female associate then Isaiah took over for whatever reason ..well I was so glad that he did and I was able to witness his amazing service. Honestly I used to work here and it's disgusting in the back filled with rat poop. I had to quit bc the owners rani and Kuamar are horrible greedy owners they would take our tips and work only one of us to take all the customers so they won't have to pay that much, so we were always over worked only one with a huge line. When i come to Vintage Faire, I usually park in the back of the food courts. This means this is the first place I see right when I walk in lol. The only reason why I come here is because of their cheesecake factory. Unfortunately when I came here today, they didn't have cheesecake. Womp womp. Taste your flavor before you commit. Skinny vanilla had an unpleasant taste and gritty texture as if it had melted and been refrozen several times. I asked to swap the ice cream out for a different flavor and the manager coldly refused. My husband was finally able to convince the manager to replace our ice cream but she was not happy about it and made sure we knew she was annoyed. read more

Don't get me wrong, Cold Stone is delicious, but this location is junk. First we were greeted by seizure-inducing flickering lights and sticky, dirty floors. If I didn't have my free Birthday Coupon, I would have been tempted to get my "sweet treat fix" else where. But having the promise of free ice cream, I persevered. After ordering (and mentioning my Coupon) I went to pay but the girl refused my coupon stating that the owner would only accept printed coupons, even though it doesn't say that anywhere on the actual Coupon. I was pretty ticked I had to pay for my free ice cream. And on top of that, the girl didn't even put my brownie in the ice cream! The ice cream itself is delicious, as with any other Cold Stone really. Unfortunately, the location is cramped and when the lines get long you're stuck waiting outside of the actual store and inside the crowded mall. Also, the manager/employer was kind of a nuisance. On one particular occasion I went on a very crowded evening when the lines were incredibly long and they actually had more than just 2 people working. There was an employee there who was clearly new at the job and less experienced than everyone else. They made a mistake with sizing and the boss ripped into this employee in front of the entire line. She even quit helping her own customer just to point out the mistake and lecture the employee on why that wasn't an okay mistake to make. I feel like this was rather unprofessional on the boss's part and I felt absolutely awful for the poor employee. Overall I would give it a 6/10 for quality of the product and most of the service. read more
