I completely understand why costs are rising--ingredients, labor, and overhead aren't getting any cheaper for local businesses, so an increase makes sense. However, with the current pricing, stopping by for a routine treat or grabbing a few items for the family is becoming noticeably less affordable for us. The quality and taste are still consistent, but it's shifted from a casual, regular stop to more of a rare, occasional splurge. I still love what they offer, but I really hope prices stabilize so it stays accessible for regular visits.

Between all of us, we ordered more than a dozen drinks along with plenty of pastries. As the afternoon went on, it became unbearably hot inside the café. We asked the staff if they could lower the temperature, but were told that administration had taken the remote control and that employees did not have access to adjust the air conditioning. It was a very unusual explanation, and honestly, I wasn't sure whether it was true or if they simply wanted us to leave. Unfortunately, the uncomfortable temperature made it difficult to enjoy our time there, especially during a meeting. Based on this experience, I don't plan on returning anytime soon.

She was extremely put together and professional. I loved everything about her and her company! From the cute business cards, to the cake tasting/presentation, her communication and of course the end result. Amanda made the process very easy for us from choosing cake flavors, the dessert table and design, and even our delicious sugar cookie favors. She met with us a couple times to discuss designs and our vision. She was extremely gracious despite the many changes- I was extremely indecisive. I couldn't decide on our cake size or how many desserts to have at our dessert table (my eyes are bigger than my stomach and I wanted way too much). Amanda helped me select the type of dessert she felt would make sense and also be visually pleasing. A month before the wedding, I finally settled on wedding cake design...or designs. Amanda provided her input, incorporated the different designs I wanted and even tweaked the design and it turned out better than what I (and my husband) wanted. She was a sweetheart from start to finish. Aside from her amazing personality her cakes and desserts are amazing! All of our guests were raving about the desserts and especially the cake. We ended up getting a 4 tier cake with each layer being a different flavor (salted caramel, birthday cake, chocolate, and vanilla with blackberry). I'm sad I did not get to try every layer, but for the two I did. I loved! We even had guests at the wedding that do not like cake enjoy a piece and wanted more! We still get inquiries from family and friends about who made our cake and dessert table. I could not have been more satisfied with Amanda's work and I look forward to using her again for special occasions and parties! Thank you so much Amanda for your service and begin so patient with all of my indecisiveness!

She was very organized and professional and really took the time to understand what we were looking for in our wedding cake. We also very much appreciated that she worked with our coordinator to go over timelines, as that was one less thing we needed to worry about. Highly recommend her for anyone having an event/wedding in the area.

She created this absolutely…read morebeautiful cake for my wife's baby shower, and I genuinely could not have been happier with how it turned out. I gave Christina our vision--a soft wildflower and rainbow theme for welcoming our baby girl--and she brought it to life beautifully. The pastel rainbow, flowers, butterflies, soft pink and green details, and the "Welcome Baby Girl" lettering all came together perfectly. It was elegant, sweet, and whimsical without being overdone. It honestly became one of the centerpieces of the entire shower, and we received so many compliments on it. Beyond her talent, Christina was just an incredibly wonderful person to work with. I came to her on a relatively quick turnaround and with a budget I needed to stay within. She listened to me, worked with me, and was extremely accommodating throughout the entire process. There was never any pressure or difficulty--just kindness, cooperation, and a genuine desire to make sure we were happy. What impressed me most was how humble she was. Christina is clearly very talented, but she carries herself with such kindness and sincerity. You can tell she cares about her customers and understands that these cakes are attached to important moments in people's lives. This one certainly was. We are preparing to welcome our baby girl, and this shower meant a great deal to our family. Christina created something that fit that moment perfectly and will now be part of our memories and pictures from that day forever. I sincerely hope Sweet Arts continues to grow and thrive because Christina deserves it. When you find a small business owner who combines genuine talent with this level of kindness, patience, flexibility, and care, you want to see them succeed. If you're in Tracy or the surrounding area and need a cake for a special occasion, give Christina at Sweet Arts an opportunity. I would recommend her without hesitation. Thank you, Christina, for helping make such an important day for our family even more beautiful.

This was my first visit to Paris Baguette, and I'd definitely come back!…read more We ordered two medium iced vanilla lattes along with the hash brown bread with ham and cheese, an almond pain au chocolat, and the very berry pastry. The iced vanilla lattes were really good. The pastries were the highlight. The almond pain au chocolat was perfectly flaky, and the filling was absolutely delicious. The very berry pastry was my favorite. The cream was light, fresh, and had just the right amount of sweetness, and the fruit on top tasted fresh and sweet. The hash brown bread with ham and cheese was very dense and filling, making it a great savory option. I loved the self-serve pastry setup and appreciated how large the bakery selection was. While some items looked a little fresher than others, there was still plenty to choose from, and everything we picked was delicious. The bakery itself was very clean with plenty of comfortable seating, and I noticed they even offer WiFi, making it a nice place to work, catch up with someone, or just enjoy a coffee. It was fairly busy and a little noisy, but there were still plenty of open seats. Parking was also easy thanks to the large parking lot. The only downside was the service. The staff wasn't unfriendly, but they also weren't especially welcoming. I also had trouble hearing the employee calling out completed drinks, so I ended up waiting around 10 minutes. It's possible our coffees were ready sooner, but I didn't want to crowd the pickup area. Our total came to about $30 for two coffees and three pastries, which felt reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. Overall, this was a great first experience, and I'd definitely stop by again the next time I'm craving a coffee and pastry.

However, when I bit into my croquette and garlic frank, they were still cold inside. Since I had requested them to be toasted, I expected them to be warm all the way through. I called the store afterward to ask what their standard procedure for toasting items is. The employee I spoke with told me that it "just depends on the worker and how they toast it." That response didn't make sense to me. I would expect there to be a consistent standard for preparing food, especially when a customer specifically requests it to be toasted. the attitude I received came across as very much "I don't care,"

I was craving something savory so I reached for a curry croquet and a crab croquet. Both were fluffy and delicious. I took my time looking around and snapping pics. The staff even waiting for me while I snap a photo of these delectable delights. It was a lot to take in just seeing all the options for to-go food, drinks, desserts, etc. it was so nice to be in a new place seeing all they have to offer as opposed to the regular burgers, burritos or wraps. It seemed like this food was in part elevated because of the fresh ingredients and care put into the display and packaging. I brought my tray to the front and checked out. They offered to heat up the croquets and I was much obliged. Snapped a few pics while I waited, which, wasn't long at all. Got my name called and got to my car to eat. Very delicious. The crab croquet tasted like a crab casserole wrapped in a fluffy warm blanket. The curry croquette tasted very aromatic and a bit sweet. Both were delicious and I would definitely get them again. The place is clean and the people are nice. You can take your time or grab something in a rush. Everything is there and ready and available. I highly recommend this place.

Definitely stick with their pastries as their other savory foods looked alright (perhaps one day I'll try and see how they taste). Yelp told me about this bakery in the older Carmel Plaza here that's not in the main Ocean Ave. The plaza was sadly mostly empty but was still curious to see how this bakery is. The inside was also pretty sparse at the time of my visit and there were a decent amount of pastries still on display and first impression of their sandwich & other savory goods was a bit of a miss by the looks of it. Still I ordered a lime tart, tiramisu, and a guava raspberry tart with no coffee, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at how good they all were! Not too overly sweet, and it didn't feel like any other generic tart/tiramisu so I would definitely be curious to try some more. Staff were also friendly and the overall price per pastry was slightly on the pricier side but then again, this is Carmel. Perhaps another plus if anything about this place is you definitely won't have to worry about tourist crowds or long lines! Would I come back here? Maybe I will give their savory food a try next time as well but truth be told regardless, I'll check them out again for more pastries as they did a good job. Worth the visit!
