There were six of us, and we were served beautifully. Shhh... don't tell anyone but this was the first time I have had Coldstone. They are very popular in Baltimore, but I never understood the appeal of paying that much money for ice cream. Yeah, I guess my poor is showing. Even during this visit, I didn't order anything. I shared my boyfriend's cotton candy milkshake. He has a thing for cotton candy milkshakes, ever since he had one at Steak n Shake a year ago. He still thinks that the Steak n Shake one was better but probably because it was paired with the garlic butter burger. He says the Coldstone one was, "Perfectly adequate but nothing to write home about." Our 11-year-old nephew had some monstrosity of a cone, with M&Ms and who knows what else. He ate maybe 15 spoonsfuls, dripped all over the ground out front of the shop, tried to feed some to the turtles outside, and threw most of it away. Same with his mom... I mean without the messiness. Again, that's my poor showing through. I don't believe in buying more than I can handle. I don't believe in not sharing. I don't believe in wasting money. I appreciate the service. It was seamless and without stress. I don't know that we needed to bother, though. read more

Tried this store out after trying the one in Conway, equally as disappointed. Service was better, but it took forever because they were understaffed. Still way too expensive, and apparently has the same manager, so not surprised with poor quality. read more

I understand that October is not a prime tourism month in Myrtle Beach. I understand that the folks who work in the retail shops might be a little bored at the lack of customers. But if you are in the front of the public, you have to do better than what we experienced tonight. What we saw here tonight was a sullen, unsmiling, zero personality of a counter-person. By matter of contrast, a half hour before we walked into this empty Cold Stone, we lefty an equally empty King Kong Sushi where we had dinner. But at King Kong, we had the pleasure of dealing with an absolutely delightful young lady (Veronica) who was about the same age as the cheerless young lady at Cold Stone. As for the ice cream, it was excellent, I had a small dish of chocolate cake batter with Heath Bar mix-ins. read more

I've always been a cold stone fan and in the warm summer months, it is a must have. we stopped in to get some ice cream to go. The line was slightly confusing as there were 2 lines. We ordered the cookie dough cake batter favorite with the new chocolate cake batter ice cream and it was delicious. Two small complaints. First, out ice cream was a little less than the size of the bowl. It should have been a bit larger. The guy making it kept scraping because he knew that too, but then just handed it to us. Then a different guy yelled at people in line about being patient, which came across as rude. Ice cream was super tasty though. I'm hoping the new flavor stays on the menu. read more

Not a horrible Cold Stone experience honestly. It was about what I expected for the location. We came in a bit confused because the sign was off even though they were probably still an hour before closing. I think they just experience a constant line in here and even with the number of people working it's impossible to keep the place remotely clean and in order. My ice cream came out as expected. Cold Stone's ice cream is especially heavy and rich in my opinion. Really I don't rank it up there with my favorites. We were just craving ice cream and this is what was in front of us. Despite it being late and the overwhelmed staff being clearly tired they did a good job. I tipped a lot but still never got them to sing - my biggest negative point. Anyways, don't expect too much here. It's decent quality ice cream that's a bit overpriced. Don't expect the Cold Stone experience you're used to with one of these places. read more

The ice cream was delicious and the toppings were all fresh. The girl working was so sweet and talked to us about our trip. They have little tables outside where you can sit and eat. Their ice cream is no more expensive than any other place near the beach. Overall great experience! read more

So happy that cold stone was right next to our hotel! We had cold stone twice this past weekend due to its convenience.

I visited this Cold Stone while on a family trip this weekend and I have to say I wasn't impress. Not because of the ice cream because the ice cream was delicious but because of the service and the store. We entered the store and everybody was in the back of the store and all you could hear was ppl laughing in the back ( FYI you can hear ppl coming in, the boardwalk is pretty loud) it took them a few minutes to come out. No greeting, no welcome to cold stone, nothing! We asked to taste one of the flavors and went ahead with our order, my husband wasn't sure of his flavor so it took him a minute to make a decision meanwhile another female came out and asked my husband very unprofessional if he had made his selection. (No People skills!) When we went to pay the counter was so sticky, I had to go wash my hands after paying. (Pictures attached for the bathroom) I asked the cashier when was the last time they cleaned this he just gave me a nasty look. When walking out we wanted to sit inside (hot outside) but the floors and tables were dirty and with empty containers on top. We decided to take our ice cream outside. I was very disappointed because cold Stone was my first job in high school and I know what kind of training they put you through in order to make the customers visit enjoyable. read more

Very strange experience tonight at the broadway coldstone. We walked in and was not greeted by anyone. When we approached the counter still barely acknowledged that we were there. when i ordered the one girl didn't even say anything she just stared at me. when my friend asked if a flavor displayed was still available the other guy behind the counter just looked at her like she was crazy and didn't seem to know what she was talking about. I said thank you after i received my ice cream that was $7 for a small and she simply just put it on the counter. not sure if either ice cream was made correctly but we ended up throwing it out. lame end to our friday night. read more

I've always been a fan of Cold Stone Creamery. How can you say no to super soft ice cream that has the fillings of your choice mixed in front of you as opposed to just tossed on top? We were in need of an afternoon snack and decided to step in for a sweet treat. Nothing too fancy about Cold Stone...just really good, sweet, fattening ice cream. They do have their signature creations, which are pre-approved ice cream flavors mixed with certain toppings, or you can make your own wacky combination. Since we were sharing we ordered a "Like It" (small) sized cup of the Banana Caramel Crunch ($4.99), as opposed to making our own. Apparently the ice cream mixer person didn't hear the "like it" part and proceeded to make a larger portion, though when we told her she said "whatever" and charged us for the small, which was nice. The ice cream was as great as you would expect, and I loved the simple combination of vanilla ice cream with almonds, fresh-sliced banana and caramel sauce. It definitely filled us up and kept us satisfied until our late lunch. I'll always be Cold Stone kinda guy when it comes to ice cream chains. The ice cream is a bit rich, and the price is a bit steep, but if you're looking for a once in a while indulgence then this is the place to go. read more

Agree with others who have stated that this was NOT the Coldstone experience we were used to. Nowhere near the variety of flavors that we have at our hometown Coldstone. Also, staff was horrible. I told the girl several times that I wanted brownie as my mix in. She made my ice cream without brownie. When I pointed this out to her, she just put a brownie on top instead of remaking it for me. Not the Cold Stone experience we're used to. Paint and rust were flaking off the overhead HVAC vents, directly over the food prep area. The HVAC intake registers were dirty, also directly over the food prep area. None of the ladies working was wearing a hair net or gloves. When one of them overheard my wife mention the lack of hair nets and gloves, most of the crew scurried into the back somewhere and sent out a lady wearing a hat. I tried to get a pic of her but she was kinda squirrelly. She was wearing a hat but she had giant curls coming out all around it so it wouldn't have helped anyway. The floor directly in front of the cash register looked like it hadn't seen a mop in a few days. We LOVE Cold Stone Creamery and don't want to see their reputation suffer because one location can't get it's act together. This particular location is on a boardwalk right next to a very popular restaurant and the location gets some very heavy foot traffic so it would be a real shame if this location lost out on opportunities because the folks running it aren't keeping the shop clean. Yum...nice way to cool down from the heat of walking around the Broadway at the Beach area. Nice staff; only issue was that they couldn't process my CSC gift card :( But besides that, completely enjoyed by milk chocolate ice cream with peanut butter mix in, while Hubby enjoyed his Lotsa Caramel shake. read more

Not great, not bad. They were out of powerade, which was a bummer. It's about a thousand degrees outside. Kids enjoyed the sweet treats while hubs and I had bottled water. Inexpensive. Disappointing experience at Coldstone today. Asked for a love-it with 1 mix in. There was a trainee and her trainer who helped me. She did not appear to understand English as she asked me what mix in I wanted at least 3 times and then still had to ask her trainee what I wanted. She grabbed more ice-cream than was needed and put in the smallest amount of mix in I have ever seen. She poorly mixed it together into half of the ice cream and then gave me the other half (without mix-in) and threw the rest in the trash. Disappointing for a $5 ice cream. My wife had an equally poor experience with the trainer. read more

Definitely recommend!! My family came to visit from out of town so I took them to broadway for some fun. Cold Stone is always on the list of my places to stop. They had a line out the door but it didn't take long for us to get in and out. The ice cream is always great and the staff was fast and friendly. read more
