The woman working here was very nice and the ice cream was fine, but there's a dog right next to the ice cream (with a full food / water bowl so I assume they belong to someone who works at cold stone?). It seems like a pretty big health code violation especially since it's right next to the open counter where they put the ice cream down to mix it. I found dog hair in my food. So in full disclosure, I don't usually review big chains, but this gentlemen, Stoney must have sensed we were having a crappy day because he was about the sweetest person I've come across recently. Not only was he patient but his overall demeanor was kind and understanding. The empathy people express goes a long way to turning a day around, so I would like to extend a special thank you to him. In regards to the ice cream, it was the tasty treat I needed after braving another day in Los Angeles. Awful service. Guy didn't understand anything I ordered, asked the same things million times, didn't know the recipe of theirs specials. But what's the worst he didnt make right size i ordered, i said about that, he just add a little of ice cream and didn't add any more toppings. I was greeted by Emma who pleasantly scooped up my ice cream order while making great conversation. Honestly, I'd come back just because of the friendly and awesome service Emma displayed. Visited 8/14/24 a little before 6pm. This location is conveniently situated between work and home for me, so I figured I'd treat myself to a mint chocolate chip milkshake. The girl was pleasant enough and wore gloves, but didn't ask me about rewards points or anything. I paid and she gave me the milkshake and it had the consistency of water. I swirled it around to show her that it was a LIQUID and not a creamy milkshake and she just smiled. I'm too tired to argue, so I took my mint water and left. All my years on this planet and this was hands down the worst milkshake I've ever had and I'm annoyed that I paid $10 for this. Came late last night and the French girl didn't even acknowledge that I was waiting right in front of her. She continued decorating her cake and then five minutes later finally said "what would you like" then she gave me raspberries instead of strawberries so she had to start over making me wait even longer and the whole time I couldn't stop looking at the gunk under her long fake nails. They messed up our order after we repeated it multiple times, also gave so little of the toppings. The ice cream itself is pretty good but if they're going to be charging so much for everything, might as well be reasonable with the amount of toppings they sprinkle on the ice cream.
