It was my first time here! I was in the area having lunch and looked up dessert in the area. It was around 90 today so something cold and slushee sounded perfect. Parking was eh. Yes they have a parking lot but there's only ONE way in and ONE way out. I had to go around the block. There are quite a few businesses in this corner strip mall. I saw 1 ADA parking spot. But not knowing where the business was I pulled into the first spot I saw. You cannot enter through the back from the parking lot. So if you have mobility issues it might be rough. There is absolutely no street parking at all. The entire curb is red. Sooooo many choices! The employee was very patient and helpful. Hawaiian shave ice, raspados, dole whip, slushees...I ended up getting a sunny pineapple float. Pineapple soft serve, chamoy and tajin. I think there was pineapple juice or some liquid. Fresh chunks of pineapple. It was everything I needed on a hot day. Sweet, refreshing, and delicious. There is no seating inside. The three of us barely fit to order our food. The location is very small, and there is no inside seating; rather, it is all outside. There's always only two people working, which is odd because the place gets really busy and wait times are long and extreme. I usually come and order iced cafe de olla because it is so good here, and I've waited up to 30 minutes just to get my drink. Today I only waited about 5, which is a miracle, but it can get bad and quick, so it is important to keep that in mind, and maybe they should consider keeping it at 3 staff members. Besides that, the snacks and drinks here are pretty good, and I can't complain about the cafe de olla; it always hits the spot! Nothing like getting more food after a big meal. For some reason I wanted Dole Whip and Slusheeland came up and since it wasn't too far from where I had just eaten lunch I went there. After parking in their lot and walking up-yep there was the Dole Whip but after looking at their menu decided to go with their explosive 'real fruit' smoothie which means no added sugar, just fruit. After hearing that I decided to call an audible and go with that instead. I got pineapple, strawberry, watermelon with strawberry boba, and sure enough they went to work cutting up all my fruits and blending it up. Also, I got a Tamarind Candy straw thanks to the Yelp check-in. This is one case where the Yelp check-in didn't help out, not that the straw wasn't delicious but the smoothie itself was good enough on its own. It was sweet, but not overly so and it was that way all the way around, you ever had a bad slushie where the syrup runs out first? What stood out the most to me was the spicy shaved ice. I got the Tamarindo spicy shaved ice. I'm sorry to say that its not good. Too sweet to consume.
