Worst Cold Stone I've been to by far. Unfriendly, and boring. No music was playing whenI went in and their cone sign was off. When I asked why it was off the employee seemed nervous and rambled an excuse, but there is no excuse to have a sign that attracts customers and show that you're open off! They open way too late and they close way too early. Management obviously isn't very attentive in their business. I choose Baskin Robbins if I'm in Riverbank, no question. read more

I'm a regular that comes almost daily here. The ice cream is great and the workers are amazing and super nice, always making you feel welcome. But I have to give a low rating for the poor ownership, need to get his attention. Although the employees are great, there's many that are clearly overworked, understaffed and overwhelmed, and there's even been a few I've seen break down in tears from stress. There was a number in the stores for the owner, whose name I will not put on here, but will probably be contacted personally if this continues. He unfortunately has shown consistent poor treatment and lack of concern for his employees. read more

My kids wanted Cold Stone ice-cream tonight so we headed out to the closest one to us, Riverbank) The 2 young ladies working, were very pleasant, friendly and smiling. My 16 yr old asked about tips which we were told there was a jar for one. My daughter placed a tip in the jar, which then the young lady nicely said "you know, because you placed a tip, we have to sign a song". The little bell was rung and both them sang with a big smile on their faces a very cute "tip" song. We told them "thank you very much" and the young lady said to us we were her favorite customers. I ordered an ice cream cake for a birthday and picked it up today, not only was if beautiful but it was also extremely delicious. I highly recommend the cookies n cream ice cream cake! Now those are all reasons to get a 5 star rating but the best part of it all was the customer service, the owner was extremely sweet and did a wonderful job taking my order and was there when I picked it up! I'm a fan of cold stone anyway, but I'm more impressed by the young man working all by himself on a Sunday afternoon. The place was busy and he stayed calm, offered samples, apologized for the wait and was friendly with everyone. This day was jan. 11, 2015. Even when the couple walked in with their four kids he didn't flinch! I left him a tip when he wasn't looking so he wouldn't feel like he'd have to sing. Good job guy! read more

Seriously. This is the worst cold stone in the Central Valley! They always have stuff missing! Lids, bags, all kinds of nuts! Like every single time I go! The last time I went I wanted roasted almonds and the jar in front had roasted looking almonds but the jar she was scooping out of were CLEARLY not roasted! Those non roasted almonds look exactly like the slivered almonds from trader joes, hmmmm and when I asked her if I could have the roasted almonds in the jar in front she said this was all she could give me with the most attitude ever! If you're going to waste your money and calories on a treat...go to another cold stone! The bad customer service, the melty ice cream, and lack of supplies is not worth it!!! read more

I LOVE Cold Stone Creamery but was really disappointed that today, on Father's Day, there was a 30 minute wait becAuse they were only staffed with two people. Don't get me wrong both the boy and the girl were super friendly and nice but they needed to have more support. I commend them for keeping their cool as the line would get down only for another large group to walk in...but the ice cream was still delicious as always!! read more

Wasn't able to use my gift card . The atm machine was down and someone else in there was saying that how long does it take to fix it its been a week already . Wow. I went to the McHenry location a number of times because I was told it was the best one in the area, they were wrong. Every time I went in there I was greeted with rude employees a dirty store and ice cream that didn't quite taste right, one employee even told me I was being an inconvenience to her. I decided to try this location out because it's closer and oh boy I was so happy. The girl who helped me ,I didn't catch her name but she had short red-ish hair and pins on her hat, was nothing short of perfect she was super nice and helped me figure out what I wanted because I wasn't sure, the ice cream was scrumptious and the store, oh my god the store, was so clean I could eat the ice cream off the ground. This was the complete opposite of what I experienced at the McHenry store, I'll absolutely be coming back. I do feel bad however that I forgot to tip the girl but I'll make sure to leave a big tip next time ;) read more

This place is alright, customer service tends to be on the slow side. Their ice cream is always good. To me the biggest downfall of this particular ColdStone s that they close so darn early! 8pm?! really? When i found they closed this early i noticed several families and couples walking up to the store disappointed of the early closing times. Only one person working, received a melty mess after being told cash only (this also happened a week ago), we have no nut toppings and no bags for your to go order (also happened a week ago). I went into this store on June 7th. There were only 2 people were that night and there was a line out the door! My husband and I waited for the line to go down but decided that wasn't going to happen. We decided to go in anyway. The poor girls looked so stressed! Even though obviously stressed, they still smiled and provided EXCELLENT customer service! They are the best in town! I've gone in last minute before they close which I hate doing to any store but I was really craving cold stone. I did ask if they were closing and the employees said yes they weren't rude about it they told me but we can still make you a ice cream you would like! That's what you call customer service!
