As always, the ice cream was delicious. We got the almond milk chocolate ice cream with a huge brownie and marshmallows. The service was quick and friendly and we had a couple of taste tests of the lucky charms and strawberry. Both were delicious. The ambience was fun for an ice cream store. I had a terrible experience at this Cold stone. My little son found a long hair inside his ice cream, which was already upsetting enough, but what made the situation worst was how the staff handled it. When I brought it up to their attention, the employees completely dismissed my concern and acted like it wasn't a big time. Finding something unhygienic in food is absolutely unacceptable. All I wanted was a refund since my son had to throw way his ice cream, but instead they told me "sorry if you don't like it you can leave." I seriously could not believe it. Who treats someone like that? Disgusting behavior The world's worst staff work here. I had a bad feeling here As soon as we walked in they showed zero interest in helping customers. I will NEVER ever step foot in another cold stone nor will any of my family members. This young generation is so dumb and pathetic. They seriously could careless I wish I could give zero stars read more

Super impressed at how large the biggest ice cream cup is. Me and my husband shared Cookie Doughn't You Want Sime and we could have done the middle size. Delicious if you want very rich and loaded ice cream. Servers did a good job making the ice cream. read more

The ice cream here is already melted in the bucket before they serve it to you and by the time it you get the ice cream it is more like a milkshake. Would only recommend if you want to get some kind of ice cream and have no place to go. read more

Cold Stone is high quality ice cream, plain and simple. It's super rich and creamy - I feel like I don't even need any mix in toppings. I appreciate them letting adults order a kids size, because sometimes that's all you need to hit the spot. Like all Cold Stones, this one is kinda pricey, but I'd say it's the best place for a frozen treat in Tempe Marketplace. Their staff are nice and (as of June 2021) they're back to giving out free samples! read more

The other day I ordered some of my favorites from the Tempe Marketplace location for delivery using my $5.00 Birthday Reward. I was following the delivery tracker and when it showed it was delivered, I went to grab it - but it wasn't there. I live on a property where things get delivered to the wrong place all of the time, so I made sure I checked each location. Nothing. So, I called the store and explained my situation. A very nice & understanding employee offered to call her manager to see how to proceed. She took down my number & within 5 minutes the store manager called me. She was deeply apologetic & explained that they use 3rd party delivery (UberEats, DoorDash, GrubHub) & that this is a frequent occurrence. I told her I just so happen to be a driver for all 3 of those apps and I hear this all of the time from establishments I deliver from and I apologized on their behalf for having drivers on their roster who literally steal people's orders & that I understand how this affects their business. After our exchange she asked me to re-place the order for delivery and that the next day she would add my $5 reward back, refund the original purchase AND the second one for the inconvenience. (I got my ice cream for free!) As promised, the very next day I received an email the my $5 reward had been restored and shortly after saw both transactions refunded to my account. This is above and beyond great customer service - from the employee who took my call to the manager who addressed the issue, this was an amazing experience and they deserve this very long & glowing review. So, thank you Tempe Marketplace ColdStone! You're the GOAT! read more

Went in on Friday with some friends and the place was a mess!! The counters were disgusting and covered in ice cream, the stone was covered in food and the spades the girl used were covered in fudge! On top of that, the person serving us seemed frustrated serving us at 11pm when they close at 12. Next time I'm going to Baskin Robins cause this is ridiculous. read more

Hard to not love ice cream and the combinations and customer service at this location earn it special recognition. I have a few favorites from their menu, including the banana caramel crunch and also have designed some treats of my own. The people working here work very hard and it does get busy at times (it is adjacent to a major movie theatre) but they always are happy to accommodate whatever requests you make. I find the prices to be fair and I'm usually in the $6-$7 ballpark with my creation. The ingredients are high quality and they'll literally make anything you can imagine from the many options of ice cream and toppings that they offer. read more

(5/25/20) And so, after a little shopping around in the 90+ degree weather, we stopped by Cold Stone for something stone cold. I don't have much to say, really; Cold Stone is well-known for its wonderful ice cream and silly names for size options. About the latter -- seriously -- how are we supposed to integrate "like it", "love it", and "gotta have it" into our order? (i.e. "I'll have a 'like it' chocolate," or, "I *gotta have* that chocolate!") It's all very cheeky. Nevertheless, we got a "love it" raspberry sorbet. I found the flavor selection lacking at this Cold Stone; I'd have preferred a strawberry or pineapple sorbet myself, but we were satisfied sharing the raspberry. My favorite ice cream flavor, chocolate peanut butter, was nowhere to be found, although they did have individual chocolate and peanut butter flavors. One complaint of note, and this is what really dings the stars: our ice cream maker, though a kind gentleman, was not wearing a mask. Whatever your beliefs on the subject, I find it reasonable to vouch for all employees, particularly foodservice staff, to gear up for work during this time. So, do consider that if you're planning on stopping by. We don't frequently go out for ice cream goodies, so it was nice to have a little something this afternoon. Until our next visit, we'll keep up with those luscious cartons of Safeway Select. read more

In terms of quality Coldstone really is delicious. Their flavors are rich and satisfying. The price point is a little high, but as a treat I can let it slide. When I get the pints or quarts from this location they are definitely under filled compared to their other locations which sucks because they're so pricey, so if recommend a different location for those items. I do like that this spot is open late, and thankfully they no longer do that "tip song", so you can tip in peace. read more

For a quick snack, I like getting some ice cream here. What you can expect from Cold Stone is that it is consistent. I can go in and get out and have an ice cream in my hand. In addition, this place is at Tempe Marketplace. So if I am already here for a movie or for Korean BBQ, all I have to do is just walk toward one end of the mall. I think their flavors are pretty standard compare some of the mom and pop shops in the valley. It is pretty corporate and cookie cutter. But what they lack in uniqueness is that they are kind of everywhere. So they are a very convenient choice for ice cream. And their ice cream is not bad at all. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would !! This store closes @11 we came in @10 so still a whole hour til close and there was 2 employees in the front and 1 in the back cleaning and the open sign was already off . The lady in the front with the braids was so rude I was asking question because I didn't know and she would answer me back rolling her eyes I'm always here at the movies at this location and it was my first time at this cold stone and it was HORRIBLE ! read more

Pretty clean location! We came here the other night something sweet, and boy were they busy! There was such a line long but it looked like they were moving fast so we decided to stay. There were four employees working and hustling although you could tell there was some tension between a few of them. One of the ladies flirted with my husband a bit but ended up giving him a little extra ice cream which he was excited about. For the most part the staff was friendly, I didn't read into it. The location is pretty small though so just be careful of bumping into stuff. read more

I'm truly not an ice cream person, unless ice cream isn't the main event, but Cold Stone has something that's just perfect for me! They have this chocolate lava mountain sunday dish that was amazing! It starts off with a nice warm brownie drizzled in chocolate sauce then add some sweet cream ice cream, add more chocolate sauce top that with some whipped cream sprinkled with shaved chocolate! I don't get it. The number one flavor in America is vanilla. I tasted the no sugar added vanilla and it was terrible. They could take a lesson from Kroger's No Sugar added Vanilla ice cream. Now that's a delicious ice cream. So then I bought the regular vanilla ice cream (medium) without asking for a taste. Vanilla is vanilla right? WRONG. This was the most terrible tasting vanilla ice-cream ever. I bought an ice cream for my son who ordered the mint chocolate and he loved it. So the one star is for that. It is a shame that you don't have a good regular vanilla ice cream. That is all I have to say. Oh, BTW. The two cost me $11.22. You can take that sticker price if you eat it, but my vanilla was not worth the calories so I dumped it. read more

Who doesn't love ice cream? I'm a big sucker for milkshakes and Coldstone usually serves me up a pretty good one. If you've never been to one before, the level of customization and options available to you here are extensive. You probably wouldn't be able to try all combinations of flavors or mix-ins in your lifetime. I got a chocolate milkshake at my most recent visit. Sweet, savory, and deliciously thick, it was the perfect way to end the evening. My only complaint lies with the whipped cream, which seemed a little too close to Cool Whip for my liking - I prefer it to be lighter. However, that is just a minor complaint. The line can usually get a little long, especially at peak hours, but it moves along at a decent pace, so fear not! If you're hanging around Tempe Marketplace, you won't go amiss by grabbing an ice cream here. You deserve it! read more

Omg. I always forget how good Cold Stone Creamery is. The possibilities here are literally endless. There are so many different options for cones, flavors, toppings, and sundaes. I literally could not stop eyeing these desserts in the freezer that was 2 cookies with ice cream in the middle. I am in no way, shape, or form embarrassed at how basic I can be. So when I saw that they had a seasonal pumpkin cheesecake ice cream flavor I instantly knew I had to taste it. I had a list of 3 different flavors to try that I recited in my head but didn't even bother after I tried the pumpkin cheesecake. Since I'm eternally "dieting" I opted out of a cone :( and got it in a cup instead. But with marshmallow. I highly recommend that flavor/topping combination. The employees were polite and quick. I am a frozen custard type of guy myself and that pretty much kills ice cream for me...But Cold Stone is a childhood favorite. Went to this location at 11:45pm on a Saturday night as the doors were locked and the hours of operation clearly stats it closes at 12 pm. We knocked on the door and was then greeted with an employee (male) we asked why they closed early when it wasn't even 12 yet then he said "his boss told them to close early as nobody was coming in" my boyfriend asked for his bosses name and then he just shut the door in our faces... was handled very unprofessional and disrespectful!! read more

Bad day, tired or just focused? Not sure, but the owners were very polite and explained their products to me. They offer gluten free and keto options, too. You can build yoir own custom cupcake onsite (you pick cake, frosting and toppings). This is a small bakery that doesn't have an expansive list of offerings, which is just fine, as they obviously know what they're doing and do it well. You'll find cookies, brownies, etc as well. I bet they do a ton of custom cakes. I'll be back!!

After doing my research and trying her cupcakes at Freak Brothers Pizza I was sold and placed an order. At Freak Brothers her churro cupcakes are sold. Cinnamon cake and cinnamon buttercream style frosting , topped with cinnamon sugar. I'm not a big cinnamon cake fan but they were yummy. For my birthday I ordered a Strawberry Margarita cake with tequila, fresh lime juice, zest and a sprinkle of margarita salt and strawberries on top. Thank you for making my beautiful birthday cake.
