I've always enjoyed coming to get ice cream here I love the ice cream! I work in the mall so I always go here! Today I unfortunately had service by Lindsey. When my coworkers and I walked in we were not greeted. We asked to sample a flavor and it was an inconvenience to them. My friend even said "I really want to try that one but I'm scared to their being rude" we literally watched Lindsey walk around making the ice cream ROLLING HER EYES!! Then when it came to check out she didn't even speak and wouldn't apply the mall discount until we asked her too. I couldn't believe how rude she was. I love me some Cold Stone ice cream especially after a movie, sometimes before. It works out that it is right next door to the movie theater. That is really the only time I come here or go to any Cold Stone really. It is an excuse to indulge once in awhile. I am stuck on the Birthday Cake Remix. It is so good. But all of their ice cream is so good. Sure it is a little on the expensive side but it is worth it once in awhile. Staff is always friendly and will chat with you while they put together your ice cream. The last time I was in there there was a family ahead of me and the kids were getting ice cream and after he made one of their orders he scooped it up tossed it into the air and caught it in the cup. They didn't seem to notice or weren't that impressed but I was. That was pretty cool. Of course I was waiting for him to miss. There was probably a reason he only did it once. Still a nice trick and A+ for doing it. When the weather is good it is nice to sit outside and take some time and enjoy your ice cream. Maybe people watch a little. Not dog friendly. Asked for a pup cup for my service dog, and he charged me 2.99 for a kids size ice cream. I told him pup cups are free, he pretended to take it off the receipt and still charged me. So he lied, he ended up having to give me a refund and he threw the ice cream away. They need to have it posted that their policy is different than everyone else's. read more

Came in during summer when it was extremely hot. Given those circumstances, best place to chill would be in coldstones! Unfortunately, the strawberry ice cream and the mint chocolate chip ice cream my friend got were melting by the time we had paid...and we didn't even lick the ice cream yet! I know AZ temperatures can be crazy but I wish the there was better temperature control. That said, the strawberry ice cream juice that I drank was pretty good. The service was really helpful, but the guy behind the counter seemed really pushy in trying to help us decide. Won't come back again...but never say never! Meh...I don't know why I keep going to Cold Stone. I don't like it, never have, never will. It was pretty busy when I brought my kids over the weekend. There was a good sized line (not quite out the door but headed that way). There were about 5 teens working behind the counter. At one point only one was working, the other four were just talking to each other. The ice cream is gross, over-priced, and the service had little to be desired. If my kids didn't want ice cream NOW, I would have convinced them to go elsewhere. At least I now know there's a yogurt place in Tempe Marketplace...I'll be sure to check that out next time. read more

I didn't go for the ice cream but for some hot browny plate. Do not take anything that they serve on the plate, it was horrible. It was like me buying really cheap brownies from the store and putting some cream on it, there was barely any ice cream on it. My friend at the cookie on the plate which was worse. Terrible experience and never again. I feel sorry for leaving this kind of review but what I got was just really shitty. Well, this is unfortunate. I love Coldstone ice cream so much! But I won't go back to this location. I used two gift cards to pay for my last purchase, one which zeroed out and one which still had a balance. After I paid, the cashier debated over which card to give me back (not sure why he just didn't give me both), running their balances, and decided on one to hand back... long story short, it was the empty card. Did he use the card with money on it himself? Give it to his friends? Cash it out somehow? Throw it out? Lord only knows. Once I realized I had received the wrong card (three days later), I went back to the location to cheerfully and politely ask if maybe they realized they had my card and were holding it for me. I worked in a similar job in the service industry for three years, and that's what I would have done. Instead, the employee working pretended like she couldn't understand my question (?) and referred me to the manager, who wasn't even there. At that point, it wasn't worth the battle, I cut my losses - and I will not be going back. Coldstone is awesome, we all agree about that. But be careful about this location and make sure they don't rip you off. read more

I would reccommend ordering one of the signatures, or if you like fried ice cream try ordering french vanilla or sweet cream ice cream and put churros in it, it tastes like fried ice cream. I love this Cold Stone! I'd much rather go to this one than any other Cold Stone I've been to. Something about ice cream just says friendly, and this Cold Stone achieves that.The employees are always fast, very nice and helpful. My only issue is figuring out which combination of ice cream to try. They all look amazing from the pictures hanging on the walls and in the windows! My go-to has always been "Chocolate Devotion" which totally lives up to its name - brownie, chocolate ice cream, chocolate syrup and mini chocolate chips. I went into the cold stone earlier this evening to grab a pre-movie snack. While waiting for my ice cream I noticed the worker take my ice cream that was in the "like it" cup and place it into the "love it" cup (a cup in a cup) so that it looked like it was the proper size. I noticed this after I had already paid. When I went back to explain the situation to the cashier (who was not in uniform) to ask if I could be refunded and charged for the proper size she gave me a bored look and said that I had been charged correctly - without even checking my order/receipt- as she walked away from me. I was charged $7 when I should have been charged $5. I realize that is a small amount, however it was the customer service (or lack thereof) that I received that really upset me. I work in customer service and understand what it's like, I don't think that what I asked for was difficult and I am disappointed in how I was treated. read more

Went there with several elderlies. They didn't open until 11:25am even there is big business hour sign says 11:00am. Without out any explanation and excuse nor greeting, we started order something that might pleasant us. I asked the lady behind the counter which ones you strong recommend because my people don't come very often, the answer is" check the menu, it's on there." All right all right, maybe she was frustrated by the late too. Then there's a tall young guy looks like manager in his suit came out from the pantry, he appear pro but kinda pushy, hey!
