Came in to get a b-day cake. As I was not sure if I needed to pre-order or not, the young employee was kind and helpful in letting me know I can just pick any cake and the writing on the cake is free. I told him the cake was for the weekend as it was a Thursday and asked if the Oreo cake would be in stock. He made sure there was plenty in the back. Very kind and helpful. When I went in to purchase the ice cream cake, it was a young girl at the counter and I asked her if she could place a b-day greeting and hold it for me as I had to pick up a dinner order. She was so polite and courteous and told me she would have it ready for me at the time requested. When I got there 2 hours later, she had written in the most beautiful handwriting, my son's name along with happy birthday, she had it boxed and in the fridge ready to go!! 12/28/25 I recently purchased these Reeses peanut butter cups for $24 with a handful of other items for a party with much regret. These cups had way too much salt on top and even within the filling; definitely inedible. Called the shop to see if I can get a refund or exchange, but with a definite NO!!! They stated since its not defective I would not be able to get a refund; but if the item was not made properly or not to customers satisfaction I would say its defective.. smh. 725/23 Getting some vanilla lite ice cream to go with dinner tonight. Arrived and it was a small wait. I had to yell for someone. Lol! Eventually a worker came out and was nice. Ordered it in the "love it" size. Paid for it. The worker offered a bag & spoon, but I didn't need either. I think the iffy experience was due to a high level of annoyance from 3 young girls (customers) that were so loud and obnoxious they ruined the experience for not only my family but another family as well. None of the employees said a word to these extremely immature young lady's. My main concern was getting the goods and leaving as quickly as possible. As far as the ice cream...it's always A-1. I'm so happy that there's finally a cold stone on my end of town. I went tonight because I was craving ice cream. What a great decision. I got a coffee lovers and a chocolate devotion because I couldn't figure out which one I wanted. I came home and ate The coffee lovers, I'll save the chocolate devotion for another day. Coldstone has it's reputation of having a quality product and fair pricing. That is why this review is not under a "not good" category. However with two other ice-cream / frozen yogurt options in the area, service is what will make or brake the success of a business. This is the shortcoming of this location. To be fair, most of the businesses at the Riverside locations are failing in the customer service category by hiring high schoolers with no drive or appreciation for the business at which they work. These businesses are also fighting a ridiculously growing "living wage" and are trying to save what they can. However, this is leaving gaps in leadership at these businesses, leaving minimally skilled employees in charge who do not know how to discipline or set examples of how employees should be working. This leads to this evening. With a line to the door, only one employee was assisting customers at a time. I gave the lad my order, a small rocky road and a strawberry shake. To which the employee started working on the rocky road and asked if I wanted whipped cream on my shake. I said sure! While making the ice cream, some lass walked in wearing short shorts and a black, spaghetti strap, tank top. She strolled to the back with the other employees, thanking a girl who complimented her appearance behind the counter. She clearly worked there and was now in the back behind the counter in her skimpy outfit collecting company resources to use for whatever personal get together she was clearly throwing that evening. Highly inappropriate. As the lad finished my ice-cream, a different lass behind the counter asked if I wanted anything else. The lad had either forgotten or was off in la-la land as he did not tell her about my shake and I had to reorder it. 0/10 for communication, 0/10 for teamwork. She then asked if I wanted whipped cream. I said sure! (2nd time, see paragraph 3). At this point the line begins to load up. Inappropriate-work-gear lass is taking company goods for herself, non-teamwork lad is now taking his sweet time trying to get ONE PEANUT stuck to a utensil off of it, lass 3 is making my milkshake, and some lass in the back comes out with loads of ice cream trying to refill the stock out front... No customers are being helped or acknowledged. 0/10 situational awareness. I am finally handed my milkshake as the next customer is started to be helped by the lad, and on my milkshake is the utter absence of whipped cream. 0/10 listening and service. I'm embarrassed I tipped, considering this pathetic group of teens do not even deserve their paycheck. Again, if the product sold here wasn't as good as it was, this would be a 1 star review easy. Unfortunately, we probably will patronize this location again, and out of fairness I will write another review, but hopefully I will have more to compare to after visiting the other ice cream locations in the area. read more

Last two orders were disasters. Last month, my daughter went in about 15 minutes before they closed. They wouldn't mix anything bc they had shut off the stone. It's called ColdStone for a reason. Usually we enjoy coming here often but this last visit tonight really has us contemplating in going ever again. Two of the cashiers were just joking around with several customers that were similar aged and not paying attention to our orders. They didn't mix one of our orders at all just throwing it together on the stone and put it in a cup and slid it across the counter immediately walking away without so much as a thank you. The same skinny tall blonde male cashier was just grabbing his hair and his nose too while going on and on with some teen customers sitting at the tables not paying attention to the ordering customers. I understand it was a long wait- we were standing outside for about 10 minutes at 9 pm. However, they could have done with better training before opening. First impressions are important and they did not have it. Out of the maybe 5 or 6 employees working, not 1 employee was able to say welcome or greet a customer as they walked in. Understandably, it is a new store, but I would first and foremost emphasize the importance of health and safety. Two employees were mixing our order. One had almonds and the other was nut-free. The girl mixing the nut-free order took a heaping spoonful of almonds and handed it to the boy next to her who was mixing the order with nuts. In the process spilling almonds all over the nut-free order. Of course, cross-contamination can occur, but she straight away started mixing the almonds within the ice cream as well. I would also be cautious with how well their spades are cleaned as I ordered cake batter ice cream and a chunk of mint ice cream was within it as well. read more

I asked did she forget about me to the other employee and rather than help me she said oh she's helping someone else and continued to help customers further toward the back of the line. I decided to take my son to get some ice cream from his favorite place. I absolutely love this one, it's clean, the vibe is nice and the associates are friendly. There is one associate that's my fave though, her name is Stevie. She's so sweet and takes her time with my son when he is trying to tell her what he wants on his ice cream. Me and 3 others came here for a late dessert. We just order basic cups nothing complicated and the girls working there couldn't have been ruder. The bigger issue I see here is they were being rude to the Hispanic kids customers before us, and kind to the white kids after them and again rude to our group that consisted of Hispanic and asian. We ate our desserts outside and one of them guys went back inside for a lid and napkins and the girl with the sweater just ignored him and he came out and then I went in and she ignored me while looking my way, I had to loudly say "excuse me" and ask for the lid and napkins which she handed me rudely and then even only one napkin.
