After seeing Mahtab amazing work I notice she also did amazing custom cookies. Now I had ordered custom cookies before and the presentation were nicely done, but taste wise there was nothing impressive about it. So I was talking to Mahtab and I explain to her my concerns and previous experience. She took her time she explain to me how she makes her cookies and what ingredients she uses. She was kind enough to let me sample the cookie to make sure I didn't have any doubts. So of course Mahtab being the amazing baker that she is proved me wrong her recepie wasn't lacking taste, it wasn't tough to eat. Her work isn't just about presenting you this amazing piece, but also giving you something that you and your guest will enjoy. Of course I had to put in my order. Mahtab created these amazing cookies for my Son's birthday party cookie monster theme. I told her what kind of design I wanted. At first I had put in my order for vanilla but I wanted to taste her other recepies (she makes vanilla, chocolate and lemon). I really wanted to taste her lemon cookies but being a kids party I opt for the chocolate cookie. I did notify her right away of my change I believe two weeks prior. She made it so easy to put in my order and change my order. The day of the party being so busy I was setting the dessert table I kid you not as I was done setting up I received a lot of compliments on the cookies. I was even anxious to try the chocolate ones. I walked away for about 10 minutes and they were all gone. Thank God my daughter grabbed one of the chocolate cookies so I was able to taste it. I really really wanted to love the smash cake I ordered for my nephews first birthday party... I spent days together with my sister in law looking for the perfect one on Pinterest and another couple of days trying to find the perfect place to order it from. Buyer beware. No samples, no retail shop, no rapport and wants payment in full 2 weeks prior, no exceptions. Mahtab never answered a call, always voice mail & took a day or so to call back. Without even asking what flavors we wanted, she demanded to be paid in full. With all this horrible treatment, I did not trust her to be legitimate, nor did I want to financially support her business. She's willing to treat current customers poorly since riding on previous reviews. Having good reviews in the past is no excuse for poor customer service now. She clearly does not need the business (she bakes on the side) nor appreciation or consideration of customers. She's a therapist who is willing to ditch customers with no apology. Let me start by saying I live in San Diego and my daughter was having her baby shower up in Fresno. Her theme was the Royal baby shower. After Googling I found a cake of a royal pillow with a crown on top and adorable little baby shoes in front. I let her know of the 2 sample cakes I admired very much on her website for their soft simplicity. These 2 were my inspiration for my custom cake but mine came out a little too dazzling. For the fresh flowers and the ruffles, I would have preferred much softer shades of pink versus the bright hot pink to go with my rustic floral babyshower theme. Although I gave Mahtab permission to change it up a bit so it would not be an exact replica of her old designs, I wish I would have been more persistent with what I wanted exactly.
