The best thing about this place is Jacob! He is the massage therapist and not even one minute into the massage, I was ready to ask for his hand in marriage It was SO good. Yes, his music was different (made me laugh out loud during the massage because it was almost like what you'd expect in a soft core "movie"). And yes, you could hear the loud women that work there and that brings me to my next point. I also had a pedicure, as did my friend that came with me. We were both pretty disappointed. When I hurt my shoulder and neck at the gym, I called around nearly every spa in the area to try and find a massage appointment that same day. Once I called Coldwater, they found me an appointment right away and I went in a few hours later. I was scheduled with Jake, I was a bit apprehensive, since as a woman, I typically prefer a female masseuse. But it was very clear from the beginning that Jake just wanted to do his job and make me feel comfortable. He did an incredible job, honing in on every spot causing me discomfort. I look forward to visiting Coldwater again, not only is their service great but their prices are competitive as well. Very unhappy with the result of their services. I've been going to Coldwater for a few years for several different services, and this past visit was just the final straw. I was incredibly unhappy with Jessica. Never in my life has a mani-pedi taken over 2 hours, had the technician completely forget entire steps, smudge the nail polish and have to redo it, or berate me the entire time with a litany of her personal problems. Others at the salon had similar unprofessional conversations, comments, and attitude. I felt like their equipment and facility is sub-par, dirty, and not worth the cost. I now also have to go to a more qualified hair stylist to fix the hair cut I received. On more than one occasion she had to ask for help as she couldn't perform the task she needed to. Thoroughly unhappy with the services here, and will not be recommending it to anyone I know. read more

This place was great. About two weeks ago I found them and a couple others. Boyfriend is out here for work and I get to play. I figured a relaxing day at the spa would be nice. I finally made an appointment last week for Friday. Now don't come expecting those really fancy spas that charge a whole body. This place was quaint and very chill. Park in the back it is easier to check in and then leave after paying. I was greeted warmly and then filled out some paperwork. The house that this is spa is located has multiple levels and the bottom floor is dedicated to hair and check in as well as retail. The second floor contains the pedicure/ manicure stations, and massage rooms. The next partial level contains the facial rooms and little ways above I think is tanning and the offices. Stephanie came down and she was going to do my facial. We chatted and found we had a lot of similarities. I was happy about finding that my face was just about perfect. Then Jacob did my massage. It wasn't bad. Though my arms and hands didn't get worked on, but then again I dozed off for a little. He did work on my lower back and shoulders which were my problem areas. He also gave me some tips. Then Rachel took over for the rest of the day. She did my mani and pedi. Then also washed and styled my hair. The hair did start out really curly but by the evening it fell a little and provided some nice curls. I'm probably going to get this wrong but Taja and all the gals have great personalities and I enjoyed my time there. We all chatted and showed pictures. It was a great deal as well $302.00 for the whole 4.25 hours. Only missed out on the light snack as I was starving after skipping breakfast and lunch. I had mentioned that if I lived closer or they were closer to me that I would probably be here a lot. I really enjoyed how friendly everyone was. read more

Find the place: This place may be hard to find it is in a actual house. There are two parking lots attached to it, one in the front and one behind the building. I parked in the front not knowing customers are to park in the back and I ended up going through the wrong door. I walked through the door and found myself upstairs in the now area instead of downstairs in the lobby. However they were kind and did not poke fun. Atmosphere: this place seems like your average Salon there is hair downstairs, nail care and possibly a massage or spa area upstairs as well, I didn't go into the other rooms upstairs but did see through a cracked door. Service/ professionalism: I would say the two ladies that were working there were very nice however the lady downstairs working was talking loud and complaining about her Verizon phone and other personal matters. The lady who was taking care of me would talk with the lady down stairs by yelling to her from upstairs, not the best professionalism there I would have to say. There wasn't any opportunities for them to sway their guests, no offering of any drinks or offering to hang up my coat, I just decided to put my coat on the back of my chair. The lady taking care of me was nice and made small talk but mostly talked about her personal life. Maybe I just wasn't in the mood to talk that day but it left me with a feeling of unprofessionalism. Nail care: I received a gel manicure which was $25. Unfortunately it did not come with a hand massage or any other add-ons it was simply cuticle care, filing of the nails and gel polish. There are a ton of nail polish to choose from. I'd say there was about four racks that held 4-5 rows of regular polish and 3 racks that held 4-5 rows of gel polish. Many of your average nude colors or cool colors, not a ton of glitter or neon or fancy polishes lake metallic or heat/cool changing colors. Overall: my nails came out extremely well, there is one bubble on my right hand however. I may come back but my experience here has not sold me on the place. I do like that the gel manicure was only $25 where some places can get up to $45. read more

Conveniently located right off Rt. 31. I was really happy they were able to give me a 90 minute massage apt with just a day's notice. Jacob was great ~ gentle, but firm, deep tissue massage ... probably one of the better massages I've had. However, at $128 , without the nicer amenities you receive at say, the Spa at DelMonte ( fresh cucumber water, an assortment of exotic teas, a quiet room to relax in, a locker room with AMAZING showers and a very nice assortment of deluxe hair products to sample ) I thought it was pretty pricey. Next time I'll plan ahead to get into the DelMonte when I feel like indulging myself. read more

Great Spa, went there for full waxing and was extremely satisfied. They pay special attention to detail and will spend all the time with you and they do not rush you, which is great when you are treating yourself. They really enjoy what they do and are very friendly and pleasent. I was a bit hesitant when seeing the picture on yelp because it looks like someones house, but actually the entire house is beautiful 2 story salon day spa. First time - and I won't be returning. My pedicure was poorly done, had a French tip polish, thinnest white tip I've ever had and the line was jagged on both big toes. I swear a dental tool was used and I was jabbed so hard up into one of my nails I saw stars. I've never had a pedi where you didn't have your calluses attended to - apparently that's another package pedi which isn't explained in detail in their description on line. No gloves worn, no plastic lining in pedi tub. Confusing entrance, more of a residential look. read more

I have been spa hopping for awhile and decided to try this place. I booked an hour appt for shiatsu massage on Saturday morning/afternoon. They neglected to mention prior to booking that their therapist is a guy. I didn't care either but for someone who has a preference this would be a problem. The guy was nice and the massage was great. But the ambiance during the massage was poor. The music that was playing in the room was loud and I could hear people talking/chatting outside the door. I love this salon, so far I've only gotten manicures and pedicures done here but they have so many services I hope to try. The staff is so friendly and will have great conversation with you. The spa is an old house, which still looks like a house from the outside but on the inside, it's amazing what they've done with it. It's a beautiful salon. They are also great at getting you in for a same day appointment! Which is something I love because I suck at planning. I used a gift card to this salon last night, and I was very concerned about the way they list their prices on their website. On the site it says that a "color, cut and style" is $63.00. But when I went to pay, I was told that it was $73.00. My stylist was vague about the reason why. I called the owner this morning, and she told me that the color, cut and style price was for color retouch, not full color. This should have been discussed with me at my pre-color consultation, which I never received. I was told that full color is listed as "color glaze", and it would be too hard to explain that on their site. Another thing, my stylist was 25 minutes late for my appointment. If you use this salon, I would suggest that you confirm their prices before you make an appointment. read more

Firstly, this salon and day spa is inside of a house. When I think of spa I think of a nice relaxing establishment, not a house in a residential neighborhood. When I went in for my appointment, my nail technician and I were the only people there and she locked the door after me so no one else could get in. It was just a weird vibe. I went in for a manicure and pedicure. The pedicure was average, not bad but also nothing special. The manicure was very strange. Whenever I've gotten a manicure in the past, they soak your fingers to help the cuticles soften and also leads into the massage part. She neither soaked my hands or gave me a massage.. The gel manicure was pretty when I left but less than 24 hours later and a few of the tops already chipped off. After about a week, the tips of the gel actually changed color and are now kind of brown. (It looks gross). The nail technician was nice but talked non stop about her personal life and I just found it very unprofessional. Considering that I was charged $100 for a simple manicure and pedicure I was very unsatisfied and definitely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

Before I moved away from Rochester, this was my favorite place for massage. I run and workout a lot and have a bad lower back, so I need good massages. Jacob is the absolute best! My nail technician was nice, but she made me bleed in a few spots and did sloppy polish. I also got hair done and although the hair cut was ok, the coloring (highlights) was not worth the price I paid. It faded away within 2 weeks and was barely visible to begin with. The environment was not relaxing, the employees just kept socializing with each other over me about personal topics, and I felt like I was the one out of place. The prices paid for the services did not feel like they were worth it either. There was little to no hospitality shown upon entering. I was generally not impressed. read more

Fabulous Spa! From the cozy decor, to the helpful staff....this spa deserves 5 stars+! My most recent experience was a facial by Sophie....and I was blown away. I walked in and the room was full of candles, and smelled of lavender. She was very gentle but firm with the massage. She was very thorough and did not skimp on the massage at all. I've had some facials where they don't put much effort into the massage, but she definately took her time. Put me to sleep a few times! I had a chemical peel as well which left me feeling clean and refreshed. The price isn't bad at all, considering the quality. I loved that before I left, she gave me a full analysis of my skin, and sent me home with tea! I will most certainly be coming back! I've had a men's hair cut and eyebrow wax consecutively my last 7 or 8 trips and Vicky has been my stylist. I've never been happier, since she's always on time and has taken me on very short notice when sh could squeeze me in. Since they were closed today I went on their website and was able to schedule an appointment for Tuesday which was perfect because i'm leaving for vacation on Wednesday.
