Before leaving Milwaukee, my friends and I decided to go to Colectivo Coffee to grab caffeinated beverages before we all headed back home to the Illinois suburbs... we all had a looonggg drive back home so we all had to make sure we had our caffeine fix before driving back. Worst coffee, service and over priced to boot. The Americano was so weak I had to order an extra shot of espresso, which turned out to be a tablespoon, barely changed the color of my drink. The only thing they got right was my drink was extra hot, as I requested! $6.51 for horrible service and product. Wish I had walked a few blocks to Starbucks. I am a diehard, Colectivo Coffee lover! It's my favorite in town. The service at the third location, however is horrible! They are always over-inundated with pick up orders and tend to only focus on that, leaving a paying customer right at the register waiting for 10 minutes. They seem to need at least one more person to man the register. I won't be back to this location again. read more

This place is amazing! Plenty of awesome out door and indoor seating. Food is tasty. Do not hesitate. I wanted a simple breakfast and coffee and to chill at a place with good ambience while I checked some emails. This place didnt disappoint! Probably the most diverse spot at 9am on a Saturday in downtown Milwaukee . Bustling and full of young and old congregating to grab a coffee and snacks. Not a ton is open early downtown so I appreciated the hours. I was cruising to grab a quick breakfast. So I ordered the chorizo burrito and veggie, egg, and cheese English muffin. This location of Colectivo Coffee (right across from the Milwaukee Public Market) is great. Open air seating inside when the weather is nice. Not the biggest location, but it wasn't crowded when we were there around 9am on a Saturday morning. Coffee makes me happy. There is simply nothing like the very first sip of the very first cup of coffee of the day. It's a day maker. And, if that coffee is subpar? Ok...maybe that's putting a little too much emphasis on that first sip. But, only a little. Fortunately, the baristas at Colectivo know how to serve up a mighty fine cuppa fabulous. Their espresso is rich and flavorful with that beautifully smooth finish that only comes from the use of quality beans. This particular location has a great vibe. From the friendly and efficient staff, to the roll top doors that, when open, lead to their simple sidewalk patio space--the decor, service, and alluring smell of coffee conspire to create a sense of welcome the moment you step through the door. Colectivo coffee oozes cool. The building and decor is very unique and appeals to a young clientele that want to work on their computers or chat with friends. It's directly across from the public market, so skip the coffee options there and head to Celectivo. The coffee smell was enticing, but I instead opted for a Tahitian sunset smoothie with no caffeine because it was already 4pm. It was very fruity, but not too sweet. It was a nice treat in the warm weather. They sell bags upon bags of their roasted beans and other merch for your buying pleasure. read more

ABSOLUTELY no sense of urgency. No sense of serving customers promptly. This particular store was very busy and many people waiting for their coffee. The " baristas" moved in slow motion. I'm not kidding like they were human sloths.. Mumbled the customer's name when the coffee was finally ready. Sloppily dressed and the slowest moving people I have ever seen, it was excruciating to watch. They spoke among themselves and completely ignored any customers that we're all standing around, waiting and waiting and waiting... My friend went up 1 of the managers and said there is no sense of urgency there and he looked at the group.. and said, okay.. She went up to another apparent manager who was sitting in the corner and politely told him that all these people are waiting and the group making the coffee had absolutely no interest in expediting anything. He went up to them, mumbled, something did a few things and went and sat down. I was ready to ask for my money back. I also left a dollar tip. when they finally called my name.i wasn't quite sure because it was a mumble... Ridiculous. And the cappuccino was not a cappuccino, it was a latte, and it was uninspired and bland. Again Ridiculous. How in the hell do you stay in business? read more

This was on my Milwaukee bucket list and it's as good as the reviews said. My husband got an iced salted caramel latte and he said it's one of the best he's ever had. I got an iced cardamom honey and it's delicious too. Cool little place too. Staff was very friendly. read more

Worst service. We came in on Sunday, September 22nd at 10:30 AM. The guy barista (short haired with a patchy beard) that took our order never greeted us... gave eye contact... or offered any help. He was incredibly rude and immediately ruined the experience from the start. We aren't from here and were told the coffee was great. It was a very cute cafe!! I walked in and was not greeted. The service was ok, but they seemed tired and did not smile (10am in the morning). Soy latte - hooray! Didn't realize it only came in large. Or at least it looks large. It's a definite light roast where the soy milk taste comes as the direct flavor, but after a second the espresso floods in mildly with notes of toffee and cocoa. There's a silky mouthfeel to it, and feels whole when you take that sip. As far as seating goes -- it's limited seating but for a Saturday morning there's plenty of open tables; only downside to it is that there are flies actively buzzing around in and out. Colectivo Coffee really gives you that calm, collected feeling to start your morning. You know. After your friend's friend triggers a fire alarm in the hotel in the morning. read more

I like this place for its location, service speed and food. I usually order their veggie burrito or hummus wrap (with avocado or smoked salmon added)after workout and the almond biscotti as snacks. I recently tried the iced Mocha Mexicana which was a little hot tamale of a coffee! That spice was just the perk I needed with my extra shot of espresso. I love when cafes offer spicy coffee drinks - they're like the adult version of leftover cinnamon toast crunch milk to me! Just passing through! Line was long but it didn't reflect the wait. Got the oat milk latte on draft (oat milk, nitro cold brew, & monk fruit sweetened) and wow...perfect ratio of ingredients. Great location in the Third Ward District! My girlfriend and I stopped here to get some morning coffee before we went to brunch. They have a great menu and lots of variety with coffee, tea, drinks and other snacks. We both got iced coffee and really enjoyed it. The space here can get full some mornings but we've always enjoyed relaxing with our drinks here. It's in a great location and just across the street from the Milwaukee Public Market! read more

Wanted to try another coffee shop in Milwaukee as we'd already been to Stone Creek and loved everything about it. Hubby and I love going to local shops, and saw Colectivo during one of our sightseeing afternoons. We both got mochas, and while they weren't as good as Stone Creek, we do know we are very particular about our coffee and others may have the exact opposite opinion. But my mocha was very creamy and hot; hubby's was not at all. They were made at the same time, so not sure what happened to the consistency. Mine was a touch under the sweetness level that I like, but that is just my personal preference. Overall, it was okay. It's always fun to try new places and we'd definitely go back to Colectivo if we ever head back to Milwaukee in the future. read more

I frequent this Colectivo location a lot. It has limited seating indoors, but the interior has a really fun industrial atmosphere and when the weather is nice they can open up the front wall to the sidewalk letting all the fresh air in creating hybrid indoor-outdoor seating. My favorite food option is the baked oatmeal, I probably have it once a week. My favorite drink is their spiced cider, but its seasonal so you can not get it year round. The "double cheese" grilled cheese sandwich with tomato is really good. I have had their green hornet smoothie a few times, but it is consistently not blended enough (Maybe a bad blender? Please fix!). You can't go wrong with any of there fresh-baked goods. There is something here for everyone! read more

Register attendants very friendly. Cute shop! My lattte was perfect, but my friend tried the Nitro cold brew and it was bitter/sour/ weird: awful. So, they thought it was the nitro and she got a regular cold brew... sadly that did not make the bitter better, Betty. Cold brew should be smooth and rich. The coffee is excellent as is the service. The ambiance is great, it's generally a good place to sit and savor a cup, maybe get some work done or read but....2 main drawbacks. First is parking, so this is really only a bicycle weather destination for me. Second is that it is popular and small so a couple times I've come here and been disappointed as there was no room for me to sit and relax. read more
