Date of visit: April 29, 2026 I struggled to find a decent website prior to visiting to have a good idea of what we were getting into, though I don't know that I would have been less disappointed had I been more informed. I was expecting a bit more than just breakfast sandwiches in terms of food, but that is all the counter staff told us about. Later I saw people with baked goods but those weren't mentioned or visible for us to peruse. Our breakfast sandwiches were pretty average, and the coffee was just okay as well. I tried the Carrot Cake Latte and it had a hint of that flavor, but I definitely wanted a little more. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is set up like a 90s cafe, some booths, some community tables, and posters for events.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Definitely a must try if you're in Milwaukee. I got a cold brew, and a chickpea sandwich. The sandwich was fine, it had arugula which I loved but not enough flavor other than the arugula. But it was good. My partner got a breakfast sandwich on an English muffin with sausage, egg, and cheese. He said it was "fantastic". He also got a lucky charm latte. First time here! (Finally). Arrived Sunday morning around 10:15, long line to get in - always a good sign! My guest and I each ordered a coffee drink and a breakfast sandwich. The sandwiches hit the spot. I had an Americano which is tasted as it should, and my guest had the Cinnamon Amaretto Latte with oat milk, which tasted delicious. I've been to Daily Bird a few times now, and I absolutely love it! This time, I got an iced tea and a fruit parfait, and both were delicious. The granola topping with sunflower seeds adds such a nice crunch. The atmosphere is lovely too. The fully yellow interior is so cute, and the branding is spot on. For a decent and amazing coffee and for an amazing price come here, I live in Kansas and our prices can't be beat by this coffee shop, their quality and their amazing staff. And the coffee we'll it's strong and ground from bean, you feel like you been old friends with the staff and treated with kindness and respect, I got the mocha and it did not disappoint you can taste the amazing chocolate and the amazing coffee and the warm staff made you feel welcomed the entire time, will be going back anytime I visit. read more

Very disappointing I don't know how they are getting 5 stars because I will never go back or send my staff ever again! I had my office manager go to place an order and she stated they treated her like she was invisible. People would asked if she was in line when she clearly was in line and had been for 5-7 minutes. Interesting coffee shop in the Riverwest area (and I think might be the closest cafe to my friend's place). My friend absolutely loves his drink here and I also really enjoyed my Miel medium sized drink. It woke us up as needed, but the taste was perfect. Highly recommend this shop! One of the best breakfast sandwiches you'll find in the city, which could mean something to midwesterners, even though you could get a breakfast sandwich just the same or better, probably on every block in NYC. Coffee roast is not my favorite, my suspect is burnt beans, burnt beans do not equal a dark roast. Staff can be self righteous and hours should be extended to increase business, and opportunity for the community. read more

So as of late we've found ourselves hitting up Daily Bird to grab the morning mud and I've grown to love this joint. Easy to walk up, order up and be on your merry way with a hand crafted cup of Joe of practically any sort you coffee concoction you prefer. Staff is on point and super friendly. Seeing the lack of small business in the area , many closing due to the pandemic, seeing the Daily bird emerge was a breath of fresh air to the neighborhood. We typically stop by while out walking the pooch and The Daily bird is fast becoming a daily habit. It's about as simple as this review. This used to be a Fuel I think, all black. Now the color is canary yellow. Brighter. The most important thing is that the barista makes a good cappuccino. It's also a nice, unique, friendly, non-chain space good for friends to chat, or anti-social curmudgeons to sip coffee and get some work or YELPing done. Dropped into The Daily Bird to write while in Milwaukee for a work trip, and this will definitely become my go-to whenever I'm in town! The atmosphere is open and friendly and I love the automatic serotonin boost from all of the bright yellow decorations. I ordered a latte and it came out quickly with adorable foam art. The espresso itself was excellent. I'll definitely order one of their sandwiches (which smelled amazing) the next time I'm in for lunch. This is also an excellent work space. There are plenty of two-top tables with access to outlets, plus two larger tables in the front bay windows for groups. There's also seating out front for warmer days! This place is great. I just moved here from Chicago a couple weeks ago. This was the first coffee spot I tried. No need to keep looking. Cute place in great location. Had two coffees, an orange cardamom muffin, a mini banana bread and a sandwich. All were really good, especially the muffin - could really taste both the orange and the cardamom. The people working were also very nice and patient as a I stood there like an idiot trying to decide what coffee to get..
