Definitely a well known coffee shop. Colectivo coffee is good, but not my favorite in Milwaukee. It's just really hard to beat this location. I didn't take any photos inside this time but their patio is quite amazing. If you go in the weekends before noon, be prepared to wait awhile. There's just no getting around that unfortunately. Being right off Lincoln Memorial Drive and the Oak Leaf Trail, it's an amazing spot whether you drive, bike, or walk from wherever you're coming from. Parking is limited in their lot, but there's an additional free public parking lot across the street with plenty of availability. For non-coffee drinkers, there's a lot of great menu options for alternatives, as well as some solid food options. read more

Points wracked up enough to score me 2 free drinks today! Of coarse I went with my go to ice salted caramel latte half caf. It's a treat on its own I'm reminded because it dosnt really pair to well with anything on the menu with my personal experience. Today I do try the lemon lavender cookie. The cookie seemed to be a sugar cookie but the frosting on the inside is where there was the blend of lemon and lavender. It was such a pretty color and honestly a perfect consistency, almost like a firmer buttercream. The staff was different, but maybe I just haven't come on a weekend in the longest time. I snagged a parking spot on a Sunday which seems like a score. Nice atmosphere, kid friendly. As we drove into the parking lot, the trees surrounding us foreshadowed the warm and cozy environment that is Colectivo. Colectivo is one of my favorite places in the city for breakfast and the lakefront location is one I always enjoy visiting. It's hard to beat sitting outside on their patio on a nice summer day. This visit (and every visit) I had the famous chorizo burrito, perfectly sized and seasoned with a side of salsa. The flavor combination in the chorizo burrito never fails to satisfy all of my breakfast cravings, paired with a coffee drink of course. Today's choice was the salted caramel cream cold brew and it was absolutely perfection! Given how busy this location is, the staff does a great job at getting orders out pretty quickly! Parking at this location can be challenging, especially during peak hours/ summertime but just across the street at the marina is public parking. Colectivo is located not far from the waterfront. Parking is limited and there is a 90 minute maximum. There is plenty of seating outside, but I wouldn't recommend it during this time of the year. Inside the seating is limited and it is spread all over the place. Pretty cool though. I ordered the Ginger Rising tea with honey and lemon. They roast their own coffee (not at this location) and I might walk out with some whole beans the next time I come. The inside is large and spacious, with a staircase leading to more seating. There are tables, and even a couple nooks for those looking to focus on work. The menu has plenty of options. Super cute coffee shop! Tons of outdoor seating in a big court yard out front overlooking the water, inside there is a ton of seating as well in multiple spaces throughout the coffee shop. I was impressed with how much space! They do have a parking lot, but it gets full fast so we parked across the street and walked over. They do get BUSY! The line was rather long but I waited less than 5 minutes for my coffee to be ready. Coffee itself was okay, I got a vanilla cream cold brew. We also got a cookie and a scone and they were good! I've shared happy reviews for Colectivo in the past, but came back to pay homage to the Chipotle Chicken Sandwich. Is this new? How have I not had this delicious lunch before!? Well it was top notch. The perfect spot for me to get to know Milwaukee as a first-timer. This string of local coffee shops came in clutch, and the location on the lake was fantastic. Took a quick stroll around the lake before heading in and was struck with how it reminded me of a nicer version of Chicago's Lakeshore drive (that's no shade to Chicago, love it, but the road is too highway like). It was a little eerie on this day as cop cars swarmed the area, taping things off, blocking roads, and eyeing me everywhere I went. Turns out Kamala Harris was in town for an event and they had to secure the whole area before the motorcade came through. Cafe wise, the food was good; had an almond croissant and an avocado toast that both hit the spot. I was a bit disappointed in my drink as I branched out to a fall themed maple latte with cold foam. The cold foam was basically just a heap of whipped cream that isn't really my thing. Service was good & snake lines but a short wait & two singular bathrooms. I was under the impression this overlooks the lake but it's actually a walk away from the sailing part of the lake. On site parking is difficult but you can park across the street or down the road where the sail boats are for free. About a 10 min easy walk. It's pretty tiny inside & outside seating is most popular. I had the pistachio matcha. I can taste both flavors but it was kind of sweet & I was underwhelmed. After a long lake walk we stopped in to grab some iced coffee and see what all the hubbub was about. As a tourist, I didn't know this was a local chain and I got the "corporate" feeling from the service and products. Not to say it was bad, because the service and coffee were all great. The building is the best part of this location. Gorgeous patio overlooking the lake (and a highway) in a neat old stone building surrounded by trees. The atmosphere is pretty "hip" but the clientele were pretty diverse. A lot of folks working on their laptops or catching up with friends. The music is pretty loud, though, so I'm not sure how they can concentrate! Didn't try the food but they had a lot of vegetarian and meat options. Comfortable seating, I found a spot up the stairs on the mezzanine with a great view of the space, A POWER OUTLET and their wifi. Work was busy so I was here and pounding away for about five hours. After the cold brew, another cortado and I couldn't resist, smoked salmon on a bagel. I opted for a sourdough bagel (no seeds to fall into the keyboard) and it came with cream cheese, tomato, red onion and even capers! Delicious. 10/25/23 - Colectivo Lakefront coffee 1.2 miles north of The Milwaukee Art Museum. After spending a few hours in the museum I took my brother to Colectivo Lakefront which is my favorite coffee house. This building is so cool it a repurposed pumping station that was converted into Colectivo Lakefront Coffee Long before coffee lovers flocked to the patio in the summertime, the building was used to clean up the Milwaukee River, with an enormous pump that's still in the building today. At the time, it was the largest water pump in the world," said Lincoln Fowler, one of the co-owners of Colectivo Coffee. They have converted into one of the coolest places to get a cup of coffee, pastries, snacks or sandwiches. There are multiple levels for relaxing and enjoying coffee and/or snacks. This location is everything! While visiting friends in MKE, we decide to swing by Colectivo on the Lake to enjoy the sunny fall morning. The patio space is huge, making it perfect for days like these. It was bustling, but we still managed to find a table easily since there are so many. The patio is pup friendly, which was great since we had ours! I went inside to order some food and drinks and was surprised to find the indoor space equally busy. Despite this, our order was ready super quick, so kudos to the hardworking, friendly staff! I ordered the açaí smoothie and avocado toast for myself and the cold brew oat-chata and bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich for my husband. Everything was stellar! The smoothie does have pea protein in it which gives it kind of a funny taste, but I didn't mind it and I'm sure that's something they would be happy to leave out if requested. Lack of communication among the team, as I ordered two doubles back-to-back in ceramic, yet was told by the baristas of not having ceramic cups. Tea arrived iced, when ordered hot. Bacon, egg, and cheese croissant... had the manufactured egg product disc (not the usual scrambled egg once experienced at the Humbolt location). I didn't eat a bite. If I wanted a factory made egg, I would go to the global corporate coffee company for pre-packaged delights. I did hear others standing near me stating they had been waiting a long time as well. The coffee did taste fine when I finally did get it. Had some time to kill before the Milwaukee Art Museum opened. We drove a bit and stumbled upon this cute little cafe. What an amazing surprise this was. Super cute location. Great outdoor seating with lots of tables and cute colorful chairs. The inside was cozy and decorated for the holidays. It was pretty busy but we were able to secure a spot to side inside. My daughter ordered a sausage English muffin and I had a prosciutto and Swiss croissant. Both were really good but I wish that my croissant would have been warmed up.
