Great little coffee joint and a great cause. It is not for the fancy chain kind of people but definately for the coffee lover.

This one has a very…read moredifferent vibe and doesn't quite offer the elevated experience I've come to expect from the brand. Food: We ordered a couple of hot mochas with whipped cream. Unfortunately, they were some of the blandest lattes I've had in a long time. Even my wife commented on how lackluster they were. We also ordered a breakfast sandwich with egg, sausage, and cheese. It was disappointing as well. The sausage patty was warm around the edges, but still cold in the middle, and the sandwich looked like it had simply been dropped into the to-go box without much care. Service: One staff member was handling the register, taking orders, and preparing the food, all while doing their best to keep up with customers. During that time, another employee was stocking shelves and organizing bags of coffee. From a customer's perspective, it seemed like helping with the line and food preparation would have been the higher priority. Atmosphere: This location definitely caters to a different clientele. Since it's part of the Public Market, you don't really get the traditional coffee shop experience that Anodyne is known for. We found a couple of chairs at a small table outside, which was a pleasant place to enjoy our drinks. This location just didn't live up to the experience I've had at Anodyne's other cafés. It's probably not one I'd plan to return to.

They are also quite expensive, especially compared to other coffee shops. As they are in the MPM, seating is upstairs for the entire market.

You may see them in and around East Town and Third Ward peddling coffee and now healthy snacks. During the week, they are parked outside the Johnson Controls building (Jefferson & Michigan). It's the service that separates them from the others. Every morning Mike yells out, "BARRY!" Mike and Matthew (when he is there) really work hard on getting to know everyone and makes it a point to remember what you do, like, your interests or asks about your weekend. Ask yourself, when was the last time you experienced that? I usually go for their dark roast. Recently, I tried the pour over (it takes more time to make) and the flavor and quality is much better if you have the time. Today, I wanted to try the Booster Bites,on-the-go energy in bite sized portions made with nuts, seeds and dried fruit. They are supporting this brand by selling this from their cart. They also donate 10% of their profits to a charity each month. The accept debit and credit cards too. Bring in your own cup and get a discount. Lastly, their coffees are from supports free-trade. +++++ Service!!! +++++ Atmosphere (Mike and Matthew) +++++ Quality +++++ Supports community If you are around the area, check them out.

I love sandwiches and knew I had to try the pastrami. It was fantastic. I've been trying to cut back on caffeine and I instead went with one of their refreshers on the menu. It was I believe and 'Blue and Grapefruit' - and that wasn't my favorite as someone who doesn't really care for grapefruit that much. I got it thinking it would be diluted a bit, SO, if you like grapefruit, I'm sure it's perfect for you. I also got a peanut butter oreo pie and wish I took a picture of it...but I devoured it too quick to even think about it. For me, that dessert was the definite highlight of the cafe. I'll definitely come back on more weekends when I have a craving for pastrami.

Chai was delicious, and chairs by the window were a comfy spot to take a moment and people watch along Broadway. Pretty cool conference space that you can rent, looked like it had all the bells and whistles for a productive meeting. Nice to be able to peruse the art gallery and art pieces for sale as I waited for my beverage. Highly recommend, and prices are competitive to any other coffee shop in the neighborhood!
