Morning bun warmed up with a cortado

This is my favorite Sunday morning haunt. There's ample seating and plugs for a day of laptop work away from home and truly delicious coffee and bakery for not just fuel, but enjoyment. Stone Creek roasts all of their own beans right here in Milwaukee at their factory cafe, and it makes a difference. My partner and I trust that any bag of coffee from Stone Creek will be quality, and when you've invested a decent amount into a home espresso bar set up, that means something. The service is always quality. I love espresso art and the environment, so whenever I go I ask them to make my drink in a for here cup or mug. They always accommodate and always make sure my name is spelled right (sometimes folks at other shops will write Abby, or Elli, or Amy...). When the line is long on the weekends, they're still incredibly prompt about preparing food and drinks. This place is a well oiled machine, and I'll recommend it to anyone on the East Side!

Great coffee, friendly service, nice atmosphere. I love the location on Downer because of the outdoor seating area and the walk-up service window.

Top tier coffee shop for all things: cafe drinks, bakery items, breakfast/lunch. Also top tier atmosphere for meeting a friend or getting some work done. Clearly the whole town agrees because this place is always poppppin. Like the kind where it can be hard to get a seat. If you don't find anything inside, definitely suggest their patio seating too, as it's situated in the center of the quiet Downer neighborhood with plenty of foot traffic going by. In my most recent visit, I of course had to snag some seasonal (fall) menu items. I'm a sucker for pumpkin spice lattes, but truly all coffee shops make them too sweet in my opinion. That said, I instead opted for a regular latte with *one pump* of pumpkin. It was perfect. As for food (pretty sure this is the only Stone Creek location with a full kitchen!)... the Pumpkin Polenta was speaking to me. It was comprised of parm pumpkin polenta, roasted root veggies, brussels, brown butter sage sauce (YUM), microgreens and a sunny side up egg. Honestly, fabulous. It was the perfect serving size, had tons of great flavor, and hit the spot for the season. And now that you've read my whole review, you can judge me for being *that girl* who is painstakingly obsessed with all things pumpkin this time of year. No regrets. I recommend both menu items!

Stone Creek Coffee is a farm to table style spot that roasts their own specialty coffee locally and from scratch bakery items. I tried a hot hazelnut oat milk latte (to go) and was very pleased to see they used the quality 1883 syrup line - it was great! Service was friendly & fast!

Came here twice on my vacation to Milwaukee. Cool vibes. Great place to do work or hang out with friends. A lot of indoor and outdoor space Staff as extremely friendly and I would come here every week if I lived here ?

Love this location. Plenty of seating outdoors and indoors. Great food options that the other locations don't have.

Cute little coffee shop in Milwaukee where you can grab a drink and get some work done or just walk around. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Indoor seemed a bit more loud and outdoors was a bit more quiet. The staff here is very friendly and helped with drink selection. They were very quick and the drinks were out shortly after ordering.

New favorite breakfast sandwich!!!! A classic bacon egg and cheese with a twist is right up my alley and for under 10$ including a coffee? Definitely a must try. I loooove this stone creek location because of the outdoor patio and the workers are always so nice! If I'm going for a Milwaukee coffee shop chain I usually stick with colectivo just because it's easy and close to me but I would GLADY make stone creek my new daily spot. I had a Boston latte as well with honey and oat milk and it seriously hit the spot on a cold, fall morning! As for the breakfast sandwich itself, I could not have asked for a better ratio of egg, cheese and bacon! The bacon was thick cut and almost smoky and the egg was a perfect over medium. The arugula lemon salad on top gave it the most amazing brightness and it didn't feel like such a heavy thing to finish. The bun was also so buttery and soft and the perfect contrast to the crunchy bacon. Love the cute bowl plates they came in too! They also have so many other breakfast sandwich options but this is an easy yes if you like a classic. If you're looking for a budget friendly spot to hang out or stop by for some quality coffee and delicious eats try the Downer Stone Creek for-sure! If you're looking for a

Visited Stone Creek Coffee during a Saturday day trip in Milwaukee. Was immediately impressed with the minimal but cozy aesthetic Stone Creek had which was the perfect place for students and professionals to work in (the venue was packed on Saturday afternoon). Was crazy iced lattes so tried their honey vanilla latte with oat milk and the drink was very delicious (8.75/10). Ran into a local while waiting in line and was recommended their raspberry cacao beans and had to immediately add those to the cart. A couple days later I actually tried the raspberry beans and they were delicious. They had more acidity and had a bit of a fruit note to them which made for a great refreshing beverage. Overall, stone creek's coffee and venue did not disappoint, would recommend to check out if you're in the Milwaukee area!

I was recommended to come here for the food and wow I was not disappointed! I was also impressed with how much seating this café has to offer- great spot for studying/working. I tried the avocado breakfast sandwich, the sausage breakfast sandwich, and the almond waffle. It is all amazing! If you like almond flavor, PLEASE try the waffle... I'm still thinking about how tasty it was!

Had their pumpkin spice latte and it was really good! It is not super sweet like a classic one which I enjoyed. There's lots of other fun drinks and food you can get here, so I'm looking forward to coming back! They have really nice outdoor seating too!

I've been here a couple times now, since my BF is a huge fan. The atmosphere is pretty typical of any coffee shop, but it is large and has a nice patio space. The staff seems nice enough, but very rushed all the time. The coffee drinks are very good, as is the food, but really over priced. This place is good, but very impersonal and pricey. Nothing stands out, but nothing really disappoints either.

Hands down, the best coffee shop I've ever been to. Would give it more than 5 stars if I could. Having been a barista and visited way too many coffee shops over the years, every detail (from the merch design to the menu layout) was exactly what I'd want my coffee shop to be like. Not a lot of places have light roast cold brew and it was SO good. The matcha was also fantastic. Staff were super cool and fun. Would move to Milwaukee just to be a regular.

Date of visit: December 14, 2025…read more Our monthly coffee date with our close friends took us this time to the Colectivo in Shorewood and it was good to be close from home given the frigid temperatures we were experiencing. I can't say that I've really spent any time at a Colectivo since the one at Bayshore closed, so this was a nice opportunity to reacquaint myself with their offerings and I came away impressed for the most part. For coffee, I went with the Peppermint Fluff Latte, and I must say it was an excellent choice on my part. They didn't skip on the mint and it really felt like a perfect drink for a cold day with Christmas just around the corner. Foodwise, I selected a cowgirl cookie (a bit too overcooked for my tastes, though the half of the salted choco cookie my husband ordered was quite good and I would recommend that one) and the Bacon Egg and Cheese Croissant. The croissant was a bit more squat than I was expecting, but it lent itself to the sandwich well and while a bit miserly on the cheese, it was overall a very good sandwich. I went five stars instead of four because the staff was really quite excellent. I fully expected the usual crew of hungover hipsters you see at most other coffee shops but instead I found a fun, friendly bunch that were happy to help.

The space very kind and cozy and they offered some classics and unique options for foods - I was enticed by the longanisa sandwich! I had gotten the Turkey Turkey sandwich for my food. It was a nice sandwich with a hefty amount of turkey on focaccia (not something I'm used to). Mmm a nice sandwich, but nothing crazy to me. For my drink, I got a Mango Matcha. I had assumed it was a matcha latte, but was pleasantly surprised that it was more of a refresher - similar to a more-common matcha lemonade. The mango nectar went well with the matcha to balance each other out and I would suggest this happen at more places! My girlfriend got the Filipino Breakfast Sammy (my anticipated meal). This also came on a nice focaccia, with some cheese and a nice square egg. The Filipino aspects felt a bit off to me, with the longanisa patty not having the bouncy texture I was accustomed to, and was much more peppery than sweet, a sweet additional sauce would have been nice. I also think the atchara could have also been more pickled. For her drink, she got a Tiramisu Latte. This wasn't actually on the menu, but they let her make the Tiramisu Cold Brew into a latte. There wasn't much of a difference than a normal latte, so there was that. We're used to mega sugar coffee, so this wasn't really for us. The space itself was very cozy and felt very communal. Overall, there seemed to be lots of appreciation for Asian culture in the space as well as the menu. I think maybe our picks weren't too much for us, but I think they do have other options that may have been more up our alley. Something I'll say is that while the area was nice, the staff did not seem to really want to be there. Ordering at the counter felt awkward and we just did not get a welcoming vibe at all. Just a very so-so experience for us this time.

I don't think that there is a wall that dosnt have some positive affirmation of sorts. It has a very authentic feel, and a maximalism approach. The air condition works just fine on a summer day but I did opt for the outdoor seating. The messages on the window are what the community needs to hear, "You are Loved" and "slow the frick down". This place really seems all inclusive. I was impressed that there IS a baby changing table in the bathroom. We tried the iced mocha, lemonade, and peach parfait that was left, because a lot was sold out. The iced mocha didn't stand out to me, but maybe that because I do like my coffee on the sweater side. The lemonade was wonderful, tasted "home made" without any pulp. We did add some of the simple syrup that was available on the table to sweeten it up just a bit. The peach parfait was great, there were pumpkin seeds in the granola which has inspired me to try and make my own. Their stickers are humorous!

I was expecting a bit more than just breakfast sandwiches in terms of food, but that is all the counter staff told us about. Later I saw people with baked goods but those weren't mentioned or visible for us to peruse. Our breakfast sandwiches were pretty average, and the coffee was just okay as well. I tried the Carrot Cake Latte and it had a hint of that flavor, but I definitely wanted a little more. The vibe is very hipster, from the bicycle crowd to the vegan folks and would really only work in a neighborhood like Riverwest!
