My wife and I went to Tony Rotella's shop today for a NYS Inspection. Checked in at one of their…read moreservice desks without any waiting. Very nice guy took care of us quickly and showed us the comfortable waiting area and he explained where the bathrooms were should we need them. Not long thereafter he came over to the waiting area to let us know that we were all set. We checked out with the same nice person (I should have gotten his name) paid for the inspection, and we were on our way. Both my wife and I were pleasantly surprised at the clean, comfortable waiting area, the large show room, and we observed that all staff were friendly and they obviously like working at Tony Rotella's. One of the most important things in any business setting is a great culture and they obviously have one and it shows. One other thing I wanted to share that I witnessed while waiting. I overheard one of the staff members on the telephone with what must have been an insurance company. This staff member was in a deep "professional" debate with the insurance company trying to convince them to pay for more for a body shop repair, so the customer didn't have to come out of pocket as much. It was nice to see one of Tony Rotella's staff members fighting for their customer's best interest. He was also very nice in how he was presenting his case, yet firm as well and would not back down. If I'm ever in that scenario, I want a guy like that fighting for my best interest as well. If we ever need body work done (and I hope, we don't) there is no other place I'd bring our car than Tony Rotella's after what I witnessed this morning. We'll also come back in the summer for new brakes and new tires as we've heard from several friends that they are great with that type of service and the pricing is very good as well.

I had repairs done a year ago when someone hit me, and he was thorough and did excellent work. This year, during a snowstorm, when a tree hit me (pesky trees jumping out and hitting our cars is a big problem in Central New York), I once again took it back knowing I'd have tremendous work done. I was not disappointed. Even a minor dent I put in the truck loading a hay bale was fixed (without me asking, or being charged) so that the truck looked like new. The cherry on top is the detailing they do to the inside of your vehicle - whether it was related to the damage done or not. It's like you're getting a brand new vehicle when you pull out of there. Mary Lou and the rest of the front counter staff are tremendously friendly, and keep you informed all along the way. This place is the example for how every business should operate with regard to customer service. I'd give them 10 stars if I could. They're just that good.

They towed my jeep after an accident and kept it in their lot. When i picked it up they had to jump start it for me, twice, just to get it on a trailer to take home. I had a broken bracket on my axle which i discovered after they told me that the axle was fine. When i questioned them about the battery, i was talked down to and told that they were not going to do anything about it. I was charged $700 for them to tow me, kill a $300 battery and not do ANY work. I would rather be stranded on the side of the road than let anyone from that company touch any of my vehicles again. Drivers beware, they will screw you over.
