I really want to love this place because I'm gluten free. How cool to have an entire restaurant dedicated to food I can eat?! However both times I've been have been disappointing. The first time my daughter and I each got a treat (blondie and a cupcake) and they were both so dry. You know a cupcake has to be pretty bad when even a 6 year old wouldn't eat it and threw it away. I understand that gluten free desserts will usually differ from ones with gluten however I am able to make very moist gluten free desserts at home with ease. Second time I had the chicken strips and they were so dry also and seemed like they had been overcooked. I was so disappointed especially with them costing $16. I probably won't be returning after these two experiences. The cost of the food is just too high to take a chance on whether or not it's going to be good. read more

Awesome Gluten Free EVERYTHING!! There is always a bit of nervousness at the beginning of a vacation in a new place. We found Cole's from the app Find Me Gluten Free. It's a dedicated Gluten Free Cafe so we thought that even if we didn't like the food, at least it would be safe. Everything thing that we've tried so far has been great. Cole's is the best!! I love that they accommodate for not just gluten free diets, but have MANY keto options and dairy free options alongside everything being GF. My family purchases their keto bread products regularly and we've never had a dish we didn't like. The veggie burger is great, I love the coconut chicken tenders, the ricotta pancakes, the keto burger, it's all really good! Highly recommend supporting Coles! Went in for a bulletproof coffee, drove all the way there from work, and because my $10 bill was ripped, she said she didn't think she could accept it. The bill was intact but since apparently the corner was missing, they didn't consider it valid for payment which is ridiculous. I had no other cash on me, and they made me GIVE BACK MY COFFEE. I would normally not go as far as to leave a review but I am a recurring customer, and as someone who works in the customer service industry I think the way the situation was handled was absurd. read more

Everything here is frozen for starters, they make huge batches of inventory all at once and freeze everything I had 1 good fresh brownie besides that EVERY SINGLE TIME they were bone dry it's also highly overpriced. Maybe make smaller amounts at once if you want to call yourself fine foods. Also it's easy to feel ripped off when paying extra for Cisco patty's. This place is overpriced! Found this little gem by searching Yelp and so glad we did! Food and service was amazing! Had the Hawaiian grass fed burger and onion rings...both gluten & dairy free and delicious! I wish I could love this place, but I've been twice now and feel like the service and the small portions for the expensive price kills it. The food was good but super expensive. I was still hungry after eating a sandwich and salad. My drink was messed up twice as well and it wasn't anything fancy, just tea and steamed milk, but the first time I got coffee and steamed milk. There was only one other couple dining in at the time and it seemed a slow day, but we still waited almost 30 minutes for just water!!! I even had to get up and look for a server. Then I waited at the register for a good 5 minutes needing to pay, but there was no one there to take my money. Unfortunately my family and I won't be back and won't be recommending this place to anyone else either. I wasn't even offered a discount for the extremely poor service. I was so looking for to this for my family and I, but it was just so disappointing. Easily my favorite restaurant in Spokane. Having a fairly "particular" boyfriend and me being gluten free makes going out to eat the most challenging endeavor of our lives. Lol seriously.. But the food blew not only me away, but him also!!! The appetizer (Gorgonzola chips!) and both our gluten free meals (pulled pork sandwich and coconut chicken-which was to die for) were equally delicious. Not to mention they serve good beer! Cole's Bakery was at the Kendall Yards Night Market this past week. I had a Keto brownie and it was delicious. So good that I drove the 30+ minutes to their bakery two days later to have another. I seriously think the brownies in the bakery that day were from the same batch as the ones at the market. They were incredibly dry and crumbly. The frosting was even dried out. I am highly disappointed with the service I recieved here. I have visited this bakery many times and enjoyed having 100% gluten free treats available so close to home. I have never sat down to eat, always picked up a few baked goods to enjoy at home but today I decided to have brunch. The store wasn't busy, there was one other couple enjoying their meal. I would say we were there approximately 45 minutes and never once given water refills to the half glass of water we were provided when we sat down. I ordered the pumpkin waffle with a side of bacon. When my food arrived i was excited because it looked delicious but as soon as I took my first bite I knew something wasn't right. It was bitter, almost sour tasting and it was awful. I went up to the front counter to ask if this was normal. The server went back to get the person who made it who stated, "No it's not supposed to be bitter or anything" then promptly turned around and walked away. I looked at the server and asked if it could be comped, if I could order something different and she stated "we can only remake it" (which would be pointless because it'll be the same bitter batter). I decided to just try and eat it, but I could barely make it through half of it. My sister even tried it and said something was wrong with it. When we left, I had to ASK for a discount, something that should be obvious since we both complained about it multiple times. Then the server decided to give me a dollar off, and in my opinion a dollar off was not enough for a meal I was told that wasn't supposed to taste how it did that I couldn't even finish! I am highly disappointed and will have to re evaluate if I will return or take my business elsewhere. PS. Atleast the bacon was good! read more

Was in town this week with my daughter visiting the Gonzaga campus. As my daughter has Celiac Disease, we are always on the lookout for somewhere she can eat without a lot of hassle and worry. After doing an online search, Cole's came up. I saw 100% gluten free on the webpage, so we headed there for lunch. Since my daughter eats gluten free and I don't have to, I let her choose a couple of items we shared. She picked the grilled cheese (with tomato and grilled onions) and house made chips as one selection. The other was the chicken penne pasta dish. All of the food was delicious! Our server was attentive and our lunch arrived quite quickly. On the way out, we grabbed a maple scone for a treat. The scone was flaky, soft and quite tasty. If/when we return to the Spokane area, we will most certainly visit Cole's again. read more

We've been to Cole's a couple of times a month since we discovered it over a year ago. We love it! The service is great, so personable that our usual waitress remembers our usual order. We LOVE the burger and onion rings. Great quality hamburger meat. My husband says the onion rings are just like his mom's. The cinnamon rolls are fabulous, even when I freeze them for later use.
