But this place is a vibe because it commits to its character. It knows who it is portraying to be, and never surrenders its identity based on opinion. Meaning that this place is pretty and pink and a tropical print mixture, and its owns its look. And if you ain't trying to get the vibe that keep on moving. This place is also nestled in the heart of the Arts district next to other bars that know their personality and go spheres-out to claim. So its aesthetic meets the orbiting bars not in style but commitment to its brand,. I went on a night where they were specifically showing a Love Island Episode. Why? Morbid curiosity? Guilty pleasure? A reason to go out. Yes and then some. The place was immediately recognizable by its hot pink door. The door promised a portal and it delivered. As soon as you enter the bar it hits with theme, with neon, with crowd dressed in posh attire. Like I said it was a vibe in pink. When I went to the bathroom the line was only female. The leader of the line was explaining that they could use the male bathroom since no males were there and cue my entrance. A few women were already inside and I waited until the line leader said it was ok to go in. I implict take away is that this night was women heavy. Like the shows fan base was mostly young chicks. Who knew? I have been to a few soccer games at bars in the recent past and of course there is a lot of expressions of enthusiasm and commentaries as the game progresses. The bar was set up in the same way. The tvs were there, showing the game, and I wondered if they were going to collectibely gasp and root as the episode continued I saw that they did. When an Islander said something impactful the crowd reacted. It was like seeing a game and enjoying it but here it was relationship dynamcis/drama unfold. And people were here for it. In fact, as I was waiting to order my drink, I heard customers behind me analyze the drama as sports fan analyze a game. And they were ciomparing different seasons. Apparently season six made the guy behind him feel uncomfortable because it was too freak. Either that season or this season had toe sucking. So there was history in this game that led to fan reactions and follow up insight. They were invovled fans. And this was the congregation for involved fans. I went to live the dream of a fan who would die for this and could not come. I eventually gave up on a drink the line was too long.

I haven't been to this location since it was little bear bar, so that was neat to see this dramatic change. Our bartender was attentive and super friendly which is nice! I hate going to a LA bar and the service is booty and dull. lol Didn't get a chance to try their food but it'll give me a reason to come back. If you want a drink and enjoy a not so typical bar. Okay fine to that. My partner and I were looking for a menu. I asked "do you have a specialty cocktails menu or a regular menu somewhere?" and she said a short no and said any regular bar drink will do. After she goes back on her phone to scroll, I turn my head and see a menu with some basic cocktails and their variations (which is what I initially asked about). Once my partner was ready to order palomas for us, we try getting her attention and kinda stared and waved hands, but she continued to scroll on her phone. It took her coworker to talk to her. THEN, she makes our palomas and stops to tell us her soda gun isn't working, so she couldn't top it off with soda. Fine cool, assuming she'll give us a small discount, but she charges us $24 for two palomas. So really we just paid for lemon tequila drinks that should've just been $16 for both. Palomas don't cost that much either. Should be just like $10, unless the Paloma is presentable then yeah $12 is fine. So, she ripped us off, didn't offer any accommodation for it, and was pretty distant and careless with her job. Anyway, don't come here if you care about customer service. Kinda strange here because this looks like a hot spot and charming, but they got the wrong people working here honestly. Something's up with management or a lack of boosting morale.

I'm a beer guy so I most def found it funny that beer on Draft or bottle are the same price. That doesn't make sense, but whatever i just go with draft. The place is small and dimmy but does the job. Def bring a +1 to stay entertained. Goodluck chit chatting though, they always have the music on so LOUD. I really don't get the hype nor like places with excessively loud music. It's so loud that even the bartenders can't hear a word your saying. It gets annoying having to repeat yourself and yell back. The pool tables are what really draw me back. I'm always able to catch a game, however some ppl do hog them and/or chit-chat instead of playing. I do like that they have several security guards, that does make me feel safe! Thank you. For the most part, I havent had any issues there or have seen anything pop off. But as someone else mentioned, the local are pretty cocky and snobby so just try to mind your own. Parking isn't the biggest but we always seem to get a spot. I have yet to find another bar in the area that is worth going to. Im the type to make the drive, but they are worth it when you wanna keep it local and stay safe! Thanks! Cheers

Me and the owner, who also does the sound, had almost the exact same interests and favorite bands. It was like meeting a new best friend. In addition, you can usually find street parking, and all the meters are broken so you don't even have to pay. LOL! There is a lot there that is cheap, too if you need to pay. There is a downstairs with a bar and upstairs is the other bar with the stage. The owner is a drummer in a band, just like my son, and thanks to that they have an amazing house kit and the guy does excellent sound. It's a small, comfy space. Drinks were outstanding. The owner and bartender make some amazing cocktails. The crowd was great for a Metal Monday night. Can't wait to have my boy play here again! Definitely a place worth checking out in Downtown LA! And follow the booker on IG - Blasphemy Made LA, as they do a bunch of shows here. It's a good chance if you like metal or punk or hardcore that you will catch a great up and coming band.

It looks like a fun place to hang out, dance, and listen to live bands if that's your thing. There is a tiny stage area that was sectioned off, and I imagine the place easily gets packed. The wood interiors have seen better days, and the seating is somewhat sparse to make room for a larger dance area. It looks like the type of place that gets stuffy quickly as there aren't any windows from what I recall. They have a patio, but we didn't make it out there. There were a couple of TVs with the World Cup on at the time, but I'm not sure if they keep sports on the screens all the time. Be ready to have your ID checked at the door.
