This place is a vibe. I know that stating that is such a cliche. Like going to a market can be a vibe if they have the right mangoes and tajin. But this place is a vibe because it commits to its character. It knows who it is portraying to be, and never surrenders its identity based on opinion. Meaning that this place is pretty and pink and a tropical print mixture, and its owns its look. And if you ain't trying to get the vibe that keep on moving. This place is also nestled in the heart of the Arts district next to other bars that know their personality and go spheres-out to claim. So its aesthetic meets the orbiting bars not in style but commitment to its brand,. I went on a night where they were specifically showing a Love Island Episode. Why? Morbid curiosity? Guilty pleasure? A reason to go out. Yes and then some. The place was immediately recognizable by its hot pink door. The door promised a portal and it delivered. As soon as you enter the bar it hits with theme, with neon, with crowd dressed in posh attire. Like I said it was a vibe in pink. When I went to the bathroom the line was only female. The leader of the line was explaining that they could use the male bathroom since no males were there and cue my entrance. A few women were already inside and I waited until the line leader said it was ok to go in. I implict take away is that this night was women heavy. Like the shows fan base was mostly young chicks. Who knew? I have been to a few soccer games at bars in the recent past and of course there is a lot of expressions of enthusiasm and commentaries as the game progresses. The bar was set up in the same way. The tvs were there, showing the game, and I wondered if they were going to collectibely gasp and root as the episode continued I saw that they did. When an Islander said something impactful the crowd reacted. It was like seeing a game and enjoying it but here it was relationship dynamcis/drama unfold. And people were here for it. In fact, as I was waiting to order my drink, I heard customers behind me analyze the drama as sports fan analyze a game. And they were ciomparing different seasons. Apparently season six made the guy behind him feel uncomfortable because it was too freak. Either that season or this season had toe sucking. So there was history in this game that led to fan reactions and follow up insight. They were invovled fans. And this was the congregation for involved fans. I went to live the dream of a fan who would die for this and could not come. I eventually gave up on a drink the line was too long. read more

Food is ok, we got the famous fries. It's basically fries with cheese and bacon. Nothing special. I don't know why it's "famous". The pink drink is good. I enjoyed it a lot. The service is okay. They check your ID before you come in. I sat in a reserved table and they had to move me bc well, it was reserved. Lol no hard feelings. That's ok! Ambiance of the place is cute, fun, flirty and overall a great time! I think they started putting a loud song and I thought they're going to have karaoke. But they didn't. Walked in, and the first smell to hit my nose was cleaning supplies - a mix between Clorox and Lysol. It was really off-putting. I expected to smell coconuts or pineapple to match the decor with palm trees and pink lighting. The lemon-pepper wings were good. There was a selection of seltzer's, but I was told they had been out for two weeks. Bartender was really nice. Step into the universe of Scarface! WOW! Felt like I was on a movie set, pink walls and checkered flooring. Good tunes and good drinks. I haven't been to this location since it was little bear bar, so that was neat to see this dramatic change. Our bartender was attentive and super friendly which is nice! Cool bar with a good happy hour. Inside has a retro, pink, tropical vibe. Pretty spacious with plenty of seating. A few TVs on the wall to watch a game. Good happy hour Mon-Fri 4-7. Highlights are the $10 cocktails and $6 food specials. I can definitely recommend the Big Stick cocktail, a nice cold drink that really tastes like the popsicle. Great for this hot weather. The bar food is pretty good too. Service was good. Friendly staff. There's street parking but you might have to walk a block or two. read more

Happy hour is good! I've been here numerous times it's very good they play different music english and spanish.

The drinks are generally good, as is the service, but a heads-up for women: there's only one restroom, so the wait times are long! Even though it's a nice spot, waiting in line for over 30 minutes makes me not want to come back. read more

Free easy street parking, came on a Wed around 7 pm & there were 2-3 other ppl at the bar. Super pink, glossy, dark yet bright vibez. Professional & hospitable staff! Music not too loud so can hold a convo. Standard liquor selection, appreciated the non mainstream hard seltzer. The snacks on the other hand were beyond atrocious, like Kroger brand frozen nonsense. However the vibe is superb so I won't deduct a star.. Will def recommend & return ! read more

Forgot to post review. Was just here 11-7, celebrating a good friends' 40th bday. There's parking located across from the venue which is about $5-10 I think. However, free parking is also available in the street. I parked right around the corner from the lot. Didn't grab any food but the service at the bar was exceptional and so were the prices. My drink was good. I'd purchase again. "Golden Hour Sour". A whiskey or whisky with bourbon cocktail. Something a lil fancy in which I was not expecting lol. Great ambiance and vibe from the moment walking in the establishment to leaving. Gave me vibes as if I were in some club in Miami on a lit night. No complaints. I'd definitely return. read more

I came here for my bachelorette and there were 2 other brides which is crazy lol we had such an awesome time, they even have a film Photo Booth that we took so many cute photos in :) the people here were such a vibe! It's as if Miami and LA have a love child in the 1980s and it was born here in the Arts District. Neon vibes in the heart of LA. So Miami Vice that it makes you want to rock a white blazer and purchase a speedboat. Shimmering disco ball above the black and white retro floor, with mirrored glass surrounding the bar and palm trees that make you wonder am I still in LA. Incredible mixologist service! Eddie was the man behind the bar taking care of us with bottles of Chimay and shots of rum. Worth a visit and worth a dance. read more

I met with some friends here to catch up and it was the perfect spot to do just that! The music was vibin and the drinks were tasty! The prices were fair and the food was actually good for bar food. If you sit at a table you do still have to get up and order at the bar even if the place is empty but we did not mind there was a friendly gentleman employee bringing us our orders and making sure our table stayed clean. The music could be better it sounds like they let their employees take turns on the auxs haha. That would be the only down side just as you start feeling the music it can change and no one really dances but once in a while a small group will. After a few drinks my friends and I wanted to dance and wish they kept the same music but they switched it back up to music that we ended up just sitting back down and talking but it was still a great night and I would definitely go back! And they have a cute vintage Photo Booth! One star down for the change in music and they do only have 2 restrooms can't imagine that nightmare on a busy night. read more

Checked this place out before a reservation we had nearby. Really cool vibe with the flamingo theme and neon tropical decor. I got the Speedboat Martini that was the most spirit forward out of their cocktails and enjoyed the coconut wash that added that extra a nice body to the cocktail. We happened to stumble on this place on our walk thru LA as we searched for fun bars! And what a fun surprise it was! The pink and black door caught our eye. When you step inside, it's straight Miami Vice vibes, from decor to flooring, it was just so reminiscent of what I would expect the 80s club scene to be. Aesthetics!!! I recommend you check their social media on insta to see what music they play each night. Although we didn't get to try their food, we def enjoyed their happy hour cocktails. The girl working the bar was so incredibly nice and helpful. We were there before the night scene and were able to enjoy our cocktail but I could def see this place getting busy at night. The Flamingo is located directly across from the restaurant Camelia...and it ended up being the perfect place for some drinks after dinner. We stopped by the Flamingo around 10:00 p.m. after dinner on a Friday. The lighting is perfectly dim inside, and the music is loud enough to dance to but not so obnoxious that it prevents conversation. It wasn't too crowded yet and there was still plenty of seating when we first got there, but it seems like around 10:00 is when it starts to pick up as people were continuously trickling in. The crowd is a good mix of people...old, young, drinkers, dancers, etc. The bartenders are quick, efficient, and friendly. Also the drinks seemed pretty reasonably priced...goose was $15 a shot and patron silver at $14 a shot. Overall it's a great place to grab some drinks, and I'm sure I'll be back whenever I'm in the area. read more

Sat at the bar for approx 20 minutes without a single greeting from the bartender. Made eye contact multiple times to try and get a drink, but he ignored us. So eventually we just got up and left. The place is aesthetically pleasing. However worst service. Bartender splashed us with water and didn't even apologize. Then I order a beer and they have to change the keg which is normal. But then never gives me my beer. Try to flag down every bartender and they all kept ignoring me. After 15 minutes the bartender finally acknowledges me and I remind him of the beer. Stopped by this spot for a pre-drink experience before heading to The Obscured, and it was a great choice. The Paloma was delicious and surprisingly strong. The decor inside is beautiful, with plenty of pink and lots of flamingo-themed accents, creating a fun and vibrant atmosphere. It looks like they offer a brunch menu with bottomless mimosas on weekends, and they also host drag queen shows on select days. So my review is actually from mid last year but based off recent reviews...they still have a lot of room to grow. I had gone for the first time because it looked like a fun time however... it's not worth it in my opinion as far as ambiance, music, or even drinks. It was definitely aesthetically pleasing & it will only be fun if you have the right friend group or go out just to get drunk. Anyways here's my original review: Super young crowd the night I went and I'm saying this as a 24 yr old with younger friends. It was extremely mixed as far as dress code goes. There was a group of wayy older men in the corner by the bar (making them unavoidable) talking to young girls & starting arguments with young guys that seemed to be their friends... so weird. No one was dancing just shuffled around waiting for better music. The DJ tried a different genre and the whole room stopped moving- it was that kind of bad that my friends & I laughed. They kind of checked ID? Not for everyone though since we pretty much just walked in and I always get ID'd since I'm petite & look young. Ordering drinks here was a mess. We waited by what seemed was the bar but they eventually redirected us & the line (almost 30min later) to another counter. The floor was messy & when we finally got drinks (they couldn't do anything not on the menu... seriously? Not even a Long Island or basic Moscow mule) we started looking for a spot to hang out and dance. Someone that was seemingly underdressed security passed by & tried to imply, quite rudely w/ a face, that my group was vaping and we looked at our phones or drinks in hands but he said "just to let you know, it's not allowed". Lol. There was a kid only like 4 feet away openly vaping and he didn't tell him a thing. Honestly the interior is cute and sure it's "insta worthy" but the vibes are really not there at all. Great bar! I came on a Saturday night and it got crowded in here around 11:30 PM. The music felt very much like radio show music (Power 106) but they did play some of my favorites! I will say this bar tends to have more of an older crowd, I seen lots of people coming here after events or after a long day in corporate America. Went on a Friday night around 11:30pm. It wasn't super busy that night probably because it was Friday. There was no cover charge at least that night. (Guessing there isn't anyways) Pretty spacious space, which I do love. And it's a really cool and cute place. They also have a photo booth there. Music was good, they played a variety of pop to Latin to hiphop. Drinks were decent. I only give it 4/5 because not a lot of people were dancing, so it was pretty dead in that sense. But a lot of people were chillin at tables. It's probably much busier on Saturday compared to a last Friday night. I would definitely go again!! read more
