Brett has been doing property management for decades, and was fully aware that the summer months of June and July are the prime months for leasing rental property, so that I could have already had a new tenant already in place for August if he had notified me in May when my tenant gave his notice to move out. This is a breach of his contractual fiduciary duties and negligence, resulting in months of financial losses in rental income. Stay as far away as you can from Brett and his unscrupulous company.

Worst experience we've ever had when renting a place!!! We never met the property manager (Damien)…read moreand for over two years he was the worst communicator I've ever dealt with. We initially moved in and the home was not cleaned prior to our arrival. Our sons room smelled like cat urine, (which took the property manager over 2 months to finally have fixed), there were exposed wires where the garage door opener was, and the yard looked as though it was never maintained. The worst part of the experience was easily the property manager. We had an unusable drain which caused a bathroom sink to be clogged and it took over a month for him to respond to our request to have it fixed. We had an issue w the washer and dryer which also took him over a month to respond to our request. We then had a portion of the back fence fall over and it took over 5 weeks for them to fix it. 3 months before our initial lease was close to an end we requested to sign another year lease. This was during the moratorium on price raises for rentals. We did not hear a single thing about renewing our lease until after the moratorium ended (also 4 months after the initial lease went month to month) and when he finally responded he raised the rent. We then signed an 18 month lease which was never notarized (any lease in WA state over 12 months must be notarized)When we wanted to get out of the lease I did not hear from him for over 3 weeks. When he finally responded he then tried to tell us that we would be responsible for the difference in any time lost even though the lease was not valid and we're operating under month to month. When we brought it to his attention that the lease was not valid he all of a sudden responded within a day. He then proceeded to tell me that he would list the home to be rented, and didn't list the home for another 5 weeks! When he listed the home he then set up showings and still NEVER showed up. My wife got a knock on the door of a prospective tenant who informed her that Damien said she was going to show her the house (which was never communicated). When my wife called him to ask about this he yelled and swore at her and threatened to cancel all showings. We finally moved out of the home and upon our departure date STILL didn't come to the home to pick up the keys or do a final walk through. He requested that I overnight the keys to the home so I told him I would leave the keys in the mailbox unit (as that's where the package would've been delivered). He never gave any other alternative and when he contacted me about the keys then told me he didn't have a mailbox key and that I would be responsible for the charge of rekeying the lock! He then had the audacity to tell me that it was my fault that he was unable to access the mailbox. He never gave us a mailbox key to begin with and we had to request one from USPS. Since he didn't give a key to begin with he had to already have. Lastly when I asked about the deposit he had the audacity to tell me I would receive it once they could assess any damage or cleaning that needed to be done, when he NEVER did an initial walk through. It then took him almost two months to return our deposit. Not only is that outside of WA state law, but he also didn't return the full deposit with no description or itemization of any of the alleged charges. If you are looking at a home being managed by Damien Husak of Rock Real Estate, you're better off going ANYWHERE else. He is disrespectful, unprofessional, and the most dishonest person I've ever done business with.
