There's a lot of great comic shops in DFW, but this is where I get my subscription and come in week after wek. This location has a great comics and games selection, The staff is friendly. And I've completed more than a few of my collections here and always gotten a good price for what I needed. read more

Service was pretty good. The two women that were working with extremely nice and friendly. A down to earth and chill vibe. Selection was pretty amazing. Would have to say it was in my top 10 places for comics. Most stores are very small, limited selection. This was not the case here. Value: cover price items for the books for the most part. The condition of the comics was 50/50. A few books I wanted had some heavy edging to them. The spines were not in the best shape but that was just the ones I picked up and looked at. I made an exception for the ones I bought because I try to never go into a store and not buy at least one thing. Always trying to keep the indie comic places around with one book at a time. I am not sure how long this shop has been open, but I only recently noticed them. After stopping in twice now, I decided to do a check in and noticed they weren't even in Yelp yet. This being Christmas time, I thought I'd add them in. Who knows, maybe they'll get some last minute shoppers? Anyway, this LCS has a proper assortment if comics, comic book character memorabilia and accoutrements, games, gaming spaces, all the things that make a proper local comics shop. A pretty great selection of collectibles too, if I do say so. It was a great experience coming in. The attendant there was very helpful. Lots of fun stuff there to check out.

So, this has been a long time coming. I'm going to tell a story, which is not only from my side but also from the previous employee who used to work for Collected: Comics, the very same person who placed my $100 ordered. First, I would like to point out that not only was I a long term customer for them in the past that purchased cases of MTG product, special orders and even some graphic novels but I also helped these people when they needed it. When they needed someone to run wiring at their new location in Plano and when they remodeled their TCU location. Sure, they gave me store credit as a kindness without me asking for it. However, I'm trying to paint a picture that I knew the owners personally, as well as the store manager. Quite some time ago, well over a year, I placed an order through this place for two separate items. One, was a Psylocke statue which I have since obtained. The other, was a signed variant comic. Both were paid in full at the time of pre-order. So, me being the genius I am didn't keep the receipts. Why? Because I knew both the owners and the manager of the store who was the person who took both my orders. Since that time, that employee no longer works for Collected (funny, most of the employees appeared to have left at some point or another, though a couple came back). After close to a year goes by, I contacted the store to check on my pre-orders after I found that one of them, the comic, was floating around on eBay for sale. I was told by the person who answered the phone, Laura, that she couldn't locate them in their system and that she'd have Ron, one of Collected's owners get in touch with me. Ron does end up contacting me. In fact, he ends up sending me an IM on facebook. He asked me what orders I was asking about, as nothing was showing in their system. After DESCRIBING both of the orders, he shoots me another and states he has found them. The statue was set to release real soon and that there was no release date for the comic. I told him I appreciated him checking on it. Time goes by, I go and collect my statue. I have a few polite conversations with the staff I knew that still worked there post their transition from TCU to their new location. I ask if there's been any update on my comic's release date. That person checks the system, says its been pushed back. I shrug it off. Flash forward quite some time. No notifications have been given to me about my pre-order having come in. I find it even more strange that there are more and more copies of the very say thing I pre-ordered croping up online. I once again contact one of the owners that I knew: Brent. Brent tells me that he's unable to locate my order. I'm very confused by this, as in the previous conversations, I was told that both my statue and my comic orders had been located but the date on the comic had been pushed back. He's unable to locate them in the system and instead, wants to get in touch with the previous employee to try and locate the transactions in their system, which apparently aren't showing for him. I shrug this off too and give him time to communicate with this person. This person is contacted briefly, told they'll be contacted again to assist in the location of these orders and then is never contacted again. So, I end up speaking with additional people I know that have access to the Diamond ordering system to pull up a copy of the issue that I had pre-ordered well over a year ago. It's officially unobtainable. No reprints, no back orders. I decide to go back and speak with Brent about the matter again. They supposedly can't find anything anymore and wants to give me store credit. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the idea of being given store credit -- however, this is a situation where the product I ordered and paid for wasn't obtained on their side. Now, that product is 1.5 to 2x as much in cost. I declined the store credit and was told that they "Would get in touch with some of their friends in the business and see if they could come up with anything." So, like I fool, I decided to give them MORE time. That is, until today. A friend of mine who was making an attempt to gather up a group of previous magic players made a post on their page and tagged me in it, hoping I would be interested in returning to that area to play. So, here's where this is all leading. If this is how they're willing to treat someone who helped them when they were first starting off, someone who consistently bought product and frequented their store. What makes you think they'd be willing to treat you any better? Here's a few alternatives I can assure you, that you'll be treated properly at: The Multiverse Comics, Collectibles, & Games - Hurst. Generation X - Bedford. Madness - Plano. They might be a bit further away from you, but at least you can rest assured you won't be directly stolen from. read more

The group D&D games are really hard to connect with and getting them to accept you as a player is unnecessarily difficult. I realize this isn't a review of the store themselves but of the people they allow to represent their brand in the FW area. I feel if they are going to advertise this option to potential customers they should have a heavier hand in overseeing it. I haven't ventured into many gaming stores in my life. Gamestop and Blockbuster are my only real experiences. I like this place. Knowledgeable staff that could tell me if they liked a certain game I requested or not. They let me know the schedule of when they are holding game nights. This is critical because I have no friends that are interested in playing nerdy board games with me. They also have a lot of games that I haven't heard of. Many of them are in the back to try out before you buy, which is fun. They didn't have the two particular games I came in to purchase, but were really nice to me. Even offered free donuts. Comic Books, Games, and good people, what more could you like in a comic store? The owners of Collected have recently moved to this location but have managed to retain all their great customer service and stock as well. If you ever visited the old store then you know that the staff is friendly and excited to help you every time. They have a great selection of stuff, not just comics. They have board games, card games, manga, anime, toys and a full on gaming area in the back. Collected creates not only a great retail space, but a community gathering place for everyone to come and play in a safe, clean, friendly store. So go buy some comics and bring your friends and family too, because they will find something they never even knew they wanted. While you're at it, give the owner a high five, because his new location is great. read more

Nice little comic shop. Friendly staff who actually greeted me when I walked in. This is a small place with tons of stuff packed in. Tables in the back for game nights. Nice selection if board games, books, x vinyl fugures. Small selection of comics but happy to find the DC Bombshells I love and haven't found at larger shops. Was also looking for Cards against Humanity expansion paks, whuch I was told they normally carry but we're out of stock. Will definitely be back soon! read more

Great little collector spot a hidden gem. They are definitely a card/game facility. And I mean game as board and strategy games. I'm a comic and figure collector and they don't have a lot of comics and very limited on figures. Mostly statues. Probably wouldn't go back for a revisit it's out of my way especially if they don't have what I'm looking for. read more

Pleasant little FLGS just next to TCU's campus in Fort Worth. They stock a small variety of board games, a little light on RPGs though. The store is clean and well lit, meticulously organized. The bulk of their inventory seems to be comics and graphic novels but they do keep a solid inventory of board games and cars games, including singles. The staff is friendly, professional and knowledgeable. W Te store his regular open gaming nights in Tuesdays and Thursdays with a substantial inventory of demo copies of board and card games. Friday night magic is also regularly held here. While the game inventory is smallish they are more than happy to arrange for preorders. You could do a lot worse for a local game shop. read more

I've visited this store several times and I find something new and fun each time. They have moved across Bluebonnet Circle to a new location that is MUCH bigger and with a vastly improved layout. The new release comic wall is spacious and allows me to see all the new comics at a glance (which leads to lots more impulse buys). The gaming area is huge. The selection of graphic novels is great and the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. A great place to shop and a fun place to hang out in. read more

Collected recently moved over on Alta Mira, the location is fabulous. Much bigger gaming section more room for comics trade paperbacks and action figures. The strength of the store has always been the staff. You can go to any other store in Fort Worth and won't find friendlier employees then at Collected. They always do an awesome job and are friendly and professional. read more

Love this place! Definitely the best comic shop in Fort Worth. They cater to the entire nerd spectrum. Plenty of comics, action figures, tabletop games, collectibles, and everything else. I've only been here a few times but I've always had a wonderful shopping experience when I did. My only complaint is that there's not enough parking but that's a problem with everything around Bluebonnet Circle. I visited this shop for the first time on Saturday, and I couldn't be any happier with my experience. We were greeted very warmly upon entering, and when we were checking out, Brent introduced himself and gave us a rundown of everything from upcoming events to the subscription service and beyond. I came for the Thursday evening game night. It was listed online as a "family game night" but the male female ratio was something like 8:1 with no minors in attendance that I could see. I had expected something much different for a "family game night". However, I don't hold the store responsible for who decides to take them up on the open invite. The other guests and the staff member were friendly and I had a good time. The guests seem to be involved with the gaming industry, because about half the games are pre-production prototypes. read more

Don't get me wrong, I love coming into this store just Bc of the atmosphere and such neat things to look at. Although the customer service sucks. My boyfriend has now twice placed an order & put two 25$ deposits down for figurine(s) which had then apparently been sold. After waiting a few weeks for the first one to receive a call (like we were told he'd get), we stopped by and they had said it hadn't come in yet. Well a month or two goes by, still no call. Go back for another visit just to check in and see if they've heard anything. That's when one of the employees then had said "oh ya we sold that one, no one ever came to pick it up.". Well my bf never got a phone call saying they've got it and it's ready to be purchased. My bf then proceeded to place another order for a similar figurine. Had to put another deposit down. It's been a few months, guess what??? Still no phone call. I'd say this place has very shitty customer service yet friendly employees/environment. I don't think I'll do business with them but only to check out what's in store. read more
