I was in the area and thought I'd try this place. This was my first time visiting Tropicanna…read moredispensary, and unfortunately, it will also be my last. The only two people who were genuinely friendly and welcoming were the young woman who handled the registration process and the security guard. Beyond that, there was very little greeting, introduction, or effort to help me as a first-time customer who was clearly unfamiliar with the products. I explained exactly what I was looking for, yet I was only shown three options despite the amount of stock in the store. The products were basically placed on the counter with very little explanation. Trying to get information or ask questions felt like trying to pry open a clam. I should not have to pull information out of employees when I am standing there ready to make a purchase and asking for guidance. I eventually purchased a product, only to get home and discover that it needed to be charged. No one mentioned that possibility or warned me that I could leave the store with a product I could not immediately use. The product did not come with the charger I needed, so now I have to make another trip back to the store. I decided called going back maybe there was a magic button I wasn't seeing. But their first initial effort was to tell me I have seven days to return with the product so they can TEST IT and determine whether it QUALIFIES for a replacement. I was also told there would be no refund. This is extremely frustrating. If a product requires a charge and does not include the necessary charger, I believe the store should make sure the item is adequately charged before selling it or, at the very least, clearly inform the customer before the purchase. What concerned me even more was being told there can be an issue with a percentage of these products UP TO 25% or more. If there is a known possibility that a customer may purchase a faulty or nonfunctioning item, that information should be clearly explained upfront before making a purchase --especially when the store has a no-refund policy. Overall, I left feeling uninformed, poorly assisted, and dissatisfied with both the customer service and the way the product issue is being handled. Based on my first experience, I cannot recommend this store. First-time customers should feel welcomed, educated about the products, and confident in what they are purchasing. Unfortunately, my experience was the complete opposite. Save your yourself the hassle, frustration, and having to go back just so they can test the product that you purchased to see if it's deemed to replaceable cause they sold you faulty one. I do not recommend this dispensary at all. The value on all levels is disappointing. There's plenty of other dispensaries in the area that will give you much better service and the staff will be better educated in the product and customer service.

I came in specifically because I was feeling unwell and suspected a blood sugar issue--especially since lab work from a different clinic the prior week showed a fasting glucose level high enough to indicate diabetes. Despite explaining this, the Physician Assistant (PA) dismissed my concerns, told me I "didn't fit the profile" for diabetes, and ordered a thyroid panel instead. Three days later, the support staff called to tell me they lost my blood sample and needed me to come back in. When I expressed frustration that they lost my sample for a test I didn't even ask for--while still refusing to run the metabolic panel I actually needed--the staff member literally hung up on me. I only returned the next day because it is within walking distance of my house and I was having the same feeling again, wanting to get to the bottom of what was happening. While the PA on duty that day was attentive, she ended up sending me to the ER for my blood pressure. After waiting four hours at the hospital, the ER doctor confirmed it wasn't an emergency at all. To top it all off, I received another call from the urgent care informing me that they did eventually run a metabolic panel, and my A1C and fasting glucose levels are, in fact, indicative of diabetes. Between the PA completely dismissing a patient's concerns, the staff losing blood samples, and being hung up on, the lack of professionalism and competence here is alarming. Go somewhere else.

I was being charged again and my paperwork was not ready. Second visit for TB test and to pick up my paperwork took over 45 minutes. And I still had to come back a third time for my clearance form. People's OC is everything I was looking for in a dispensary! Huge variety, rad staff, and a storefront that actually feels like weed is legal (instead of some sketch AF unlabeled unit in an industrial park in Santa Ana - y'all know exactly what I'm talking about). I just told my ultra-conservative parents about using medicinal mj for the first time and now I'm planning on taking them in with me because I think People's OC would make them way more comfortable with pot - it's that classy of a joint (pun totally intended). I worked with Sabrina and she was the fucking best. I was all over the place after a long day and she was super patient with me the whole time. She took at least an hour walking me through all my different CBD options, never trying to up-sell me on anything and always being honest when she didn't know a ton about a certain product. I told her I spend most of the year in a non-weed friendly state for school and she suggested some really helpful resources to help me get my medicine. Best of all she was just an all around rad human being and she made me feel like I was just hanging out with a friend. I was in people's just today to purchase a little bit of flower for my wife. The total amount for the purchase was $47.89. I had $40 in cash on me and I was going to put the rest onto my credit card. When I ran my card it came back as declined. Thought this was strange since I had plenty of money available on the card. So I ran out to my car to see how much cash I had laying inside my vehicle and I was able to come up with $7.50. which means I was short 48 cents for the purchase. Instead of them offering to help out they canceled my transaction. I got in the car I noticed on my phone that I got an alert that the pin number entered on the credit card machine was invalid and it was not due to insufficient funds but rather a mistake with their credit card machine. What baffles me is the fact that for 48 cents they would have rather lost the sale than to help somebody out. 48 cents? Really nobodys going to pull two quarters out of their pocket and said here we've got you. You would rather lose my business over 48 cents that's fucking ridiculous. How greedy and unprofessional of the business. Do yourself a favor if you want to find good deals and get great service go to any of the other dispensaries like cookies or planet 13 anywhere but this shit hole place. read more

Overpriced and crap weed. I went to peoples because I received a text saying that the 1000mg cookie is half off and I thought why not. Peoples is always overpriced and low quality but I thought what the hell maybe a 1000 mg cookie will be good. Wrong. So so wrong. I go to pick up my order and I'm told that my total it 30 dollars higher than hat I was told through the app! I WISH I had just walked out. I'm a huge fan of this shop, most other places I've been to are a little sketchy whereas People's is really professional. I feel safe with all the security guards around the shop AND in the parking lot and really who can put a price on safety? Relaxed vibes and fair prices. Also love the new express lane they got going, essentially if you know exactly what you want you take that line to the far right and you're in and out in a flash. Great job People's keep it up! Quick shout out to Carly, honestly my favorite employee in the whole place. I always go to her cause she's always on it with the latest deals and getting the most bang for your buck. I have not been back to this dispensary since last summer. Today I came in and wanted to buy Plus brand gummies which run less than $20. The girl behind the counter said they were out and offered me another brand Kushy CBD. She said they were much higher quality - NOT! I went ahead and purchaed them and when I was in the parking lot I decided to open them. They were stuck together and there were only 10. With the Plus brand, you get 20 - 10mg each. I tried to separate the gummies and they were very hard to pull apart. See the photos. I tried to return them and Peoples OC would not take them back. I feel this place has really gotten expensive and not very consumer friendly. I much prefer Bud N Bloom or Show Gro. I will not be back. read more

"Being in the OC shouldn't mean overpaying for subpar products. Despite the allure of 'El Blunto,' priced at a hefty $60+ with a claimed 24% THC, I was left unimpressed. The fancy packaging belied poorly packed joints that tore easily, and the filters were a letdown, fizzling out halfway through. I was nervous coming into this store since I've never tried cannabis but I was recommended by my doctor for cannabis products for treatment of my stomach cancer. I was very surprised by the knowledge and quality of the staff here. They were so helpful and gave us so much information. Our budtender Sherman spent so much time giving me and my family knowledge on what products to use and was very kind and patient when we asked questions. Cool location, totally stuck up. I was less than impressed, I was expecting something mind blowing....but would rather stick to the shady dispensaries who move every other week lol! At least they're cool, with great product and reasonable prices. Problems with people's OC: prices are insane. They seem to think they're better than everyone else, the pen I bought *doesnt even work* and the guy forgot to get the herb I asked for (just got me the pen and cartridge.) glad I got this place out of my system, I won't be back. I really like the farmers market! I've been to two of them and learned so much every time. Really liked the Plus booth for the weed gummies. The kiosk system was a little intimidating at first but everyone there was so helpful, it was fine. It was pretty easy after the first time. I really like the displays and I just wish there were more! Other than that I'm really happy with everything I got from there the times I've been. Plus is great, and Source is a little pricy but the quality is insane. Really good stuff. I definitely like having options. read more

Easily my favorite place to shop for marijuana in Southern California. Good location in a safe part of town, easily accessible, and very professional building. The selection is top notch and they have everything: yummy and hard hitting edibles, high quality concentrates, topicals, the list goes on. This is also the most friendly and helpful staff I've encountered. Jack in particular was so good with his recommendations. Definitely going to look for him every time I visit. Highly recommend!! I placed an order for delivery today and was assisted by Richie. He was very thorough with making sure I knew the proper dosing and breakdown of the CBD product I was interested in. He let me know about the wait times with it being a little busy but I got my delivery fairly quick, almost an hour after placing the order. If I could write 0 stars I would. Terrible experience. New customers no benefits. They expect you to know where to go and what to do. I walked in and the front desk lady asked for ID then gave them back and said nothing. I then asked where do we go she said up stairs.
