I stared off seeing Dr. Groff years ago until she moved and then I moved to Lawrence. I had always loved their service and eye wear selection. After my dog destroyed my favorite pair of glasses I had bought at Dr. Krannawitter's former office, I had a hard time finding frames in Lawrence that I liked. So one morning I popped into the new location on Pflumm. I was so impressed with what they'd done with that building. Of course, their eyewear selection was still amazing. The staff were friendly and informative, just as they had been 5 years ago. Bummed I didn't have a current glasses prescription to order the frames that I'd found there and loved, staff were able to squeeze me into an appointment right then so that I could go ahead and order my glasses that day. Dr. Kranawitter is very kind and personable. The exam was comprehensive and there was no pressure to try additional expensive services that would be unnecessary based on my age and history. My glasses arrived quickly. Even if you love your eye doctor, I think their eye wear selection alone is worth stopping in for.

The staff is always nice and it is clean. I am usually able to get scheduled in a reasonable amount of time. The only reason I gave a four is that the machine has went on the blitz several times in the middle of the testing. They have gotten it worked out during those times but I despise the testing because it takes longer than a typical test so I've had to prolong the testing.

I didn't think it was a stye, but hey, I'm not a doctor, so I just went with what he said. He referred me to another facility. Once I got to that facility weeks later, turns out, he was incorrect and should have never sent me to the other facility. The facility that he sent me to works very closely with him so they were very surprised when I showed up and everything that he had sent was incorrect. The other office apologized to me for making me wait and go through all of this hassle for nothing. They were pretty shocked about what happened. He wasted my time and my money, and I ended up having to go for a third appointment somewhere else. That also postponed my treatment. Dr. Schwerdtfeger (Dr. Joe) would not recommend. If you are a doctor and you were unsure of the next steps a patient needs to take, tell them that. I would have more respect for a doctor if they told me the truth, instead of sending me somewhere that couldn't help.

I've been going to My Eye Care for the past year. Mostly for my comprehensive eye exam and my…read moreyearly eyeglass prescription but I also deal with severely dry eyes. I really like Dr. Bui. He's very nice and never seems rushed. I also really like everyone who works up front, especially Heather. She is always on top of everything and can handle any situation. I needed to get in before the end of the year to get my exam and prescription and she got me in. Found my current eye insurance and had it in the system when I logged in to fill in the paperwork. You can make an appointment online which is extremely convenient since I often have to handle those sort of things outside of regular business hours. You can fill in info online as well so it can be done before you arrive. There's an eyeglass store right next door. I just walk out, go next door, and get my glasses. My Eye Care seems to work very closely with them but you can take your prescription wherever you want of course. The waiting room is a decent size and I think the longest I waited was 20 or so minutes one time. Usually, I get back rather quickly. If they need to do anything for your visit before you see the Dr, they do it and then put you in the exam room. There's no separate waiting area so once you go back, the dr is in soon for your exam. If you are searching for an eye doctor, I'd recommend giving them a try!
